As stated above, I did land in front of a bunch of them during the VIP demo and waited. They ran away, and up close didn't really look all that tasty.

So far I'm not getting the vibe that they're nasty or murderous, unless the announced "cool event" at the end of the open demo turns out to be some shaper storm induced Grabbitocalypse or something, so I'm going to leave them alone for now. Which is not the same as protect, mind you.
