Yeah... that's stuff is from 2017? I think. They never even mentioned the game again, which is a bit scary. They said they wanted to kickstart the thing again, I though they had money already to just develop the game instead of being financed by people. Anyways, I wanted some information at E3, but absolutely nothing was shown.

Their website and social media are bland but here's more info about the setting. It's also over a year old.

I think their focus has been on Bard's Tale IV, which was only released a few weeks ago.

Never played the first one but I was really enjoying myself on the second game until my old computer had an aneurism and died.
I did see they had the Director's Cut available for Xbox digital download, and I was tempted because I heard that the console version of the game had co-op multiplayer. Of course any place I try to look into for researching that version of the game fails to mention that feature. Can anyone on here confirm if the console version of Wasteland 2 is multiplayer or not?

I think their focus has been on Bard's Tale IV, which was only released a few weeks ago. Yeah probably. It wasn't exactly received with great enthusiasm. I hope that this won't impact Wasteland 3. I really don't know how they could think that a game with that kind of gameplay would be well received these days.
I mean, old-school cRPG games is already a niche market, when you aim at a sub-niche of a niche what could you expect to achieve?

I don't think Wasteland 2 is coop.
Wasteland 3, however, will have it.

I would definitely be holding off to do a bit of research about it before getting it. Hopefully they lean towards the reactivity of the original Wasteland 2, rather than the "succeeding missions can only be done one way" of the Director's Cut. Can anyone on here confirm if the console version of Wasteland 2 is multiplayer or not? It is not. I would also recommend the original version of Wasteland 2 if you can get it. The Director's Cut removed half of the ways missions could be successfully completed.

That's the first time I've heard of a video game Director's Cut actually having less content than the base game. Did the developers say why they changed the mission structures like that?

I ended up doing a lot of research about it, but I never found any explanation for why. It doesn't amount to very much "cut content," since most of what was removed amounted to one specific dialogue choice per mission, or in some cases an interactable object would be removed. There are still usually 2 or 3 ways each quest can be completed, but only one way to "succeed" without some negative consequence for failure. Originally, all missions had 2 ways they could be completed successfully, but for the "Director's Cut" they systemically removed one from each.

I would figure more choice and reactivity would be a good thing. Anyways, I could have swore the xbox version of the game was 2 player local co-op. Granted you get the same effect by just passing the controller back and forth, but for some reason I remember that it was reported to have it.

It may have been added later on, but I'm almost positive there was no MP when I played it. That is odd. I would figure more choice and reactivity would be a good thing. I would agree, which is why I'll be doing thorough research before deciding whether to buy their follow-up.

I would agree, which is why I'll be doing thorough research before deciding whether to buy their follow-up. What really baffled me in WL2 was the drop in quality when I went from Arizona to L.A.
The second part was awfully different in so many ways that it almost seemed like a separate game.
