I was always kind of wary of making a thread like this on the official forums because mods are not officially supported, but that is no longer a concern. I would like this thread to be for questions regarding modding Dragon Age: Inquisition. Some information. Modding in DAI is currently done using the Mod Manager, which is obtainable through use of the DAITools Suite Loader. In order to use the Mod Manager correctly, you MUST have a fully patched DAI game. Here is a tutorial detailing the setup and use of the Mod Manager. There are two other places one might ask questions. The first is the official forum for the DAITools. The second is the DAI section on the Nexus forums. While I check both regularly, both of those forums are a bit sleepy as excitement for modding DAI has fallen over the past couple of years. Finally, I also want to add that new, updated versions of both the Mod Maker and Mod Manager are being worked on. When they are eventually released, I expect there to be a resurgence of mod making and also updating as hopefully these new tools will mean things work better with the DLC (Trespasser formal attire, anyone?), and perhaps enable us to do things we could not previously. Only time will tell.

Long live the modders, our unsung heroes whom without my days would just be HO HUM.
OK so now can somebody MOD a stackable item of staff projectiles and have it mount on all my mages please.
Oh and can you do it for DAO, DA2 and DAI. In my best Liliana voice:
"Oh how dear of you. Thank you so much".

Oh this is great!
Well I've just re-merged all my mods after having to do a computer restore and re-download everything. Hopefully the first time I boot the game it won't be a total disaster, haha.

Mods issue assistance please!
In Trespasser when I go into my inventory the gam freezes and I need to control-alt-delete to get out.
Mods are: Official Patch Iron Bull - Oiled Up (from the Horns Up mod I believe) Shiny Happy Blackwall - barefaced (Blackwall - Warden from the North or something like that) Sera Long Hair and Sera's Grey Outfit Updated (Sera's Hair-Complexions-Outfit Retexture) Solas' New Texture (The Pride) QF Single Braid (One of SK's hair mods for Qunari)
It shouldn't be the shiny ones since they weren't a problem last time, and it shouldn't be the braid since it shows in cutscenes. I don't know why an outfit recolour or longer hair would mess with it?

Your best bet is to just merge one mod at a time to see what the culprit is. Yes, it's a tedious process, but it is the best way to find out if a certain mod is causing a problem. Just because a mod actually appears in the game doesn't mean it can't cause other problems that are seemingly unrelated.

It was sad, I ended up only able to keep my quizzie's braid. Luckily I didn't have Blackwall in my party or I'd have cried.

Question-is the Mod Manager only for those on PC.
If so, are there any plans to have mods available for console users on Inquisition-or develop a edition of the game that can utilize mods.
For example-something like Skyrim Special Edition.

Yes, mods are for PC only. No, there are no plans to make them available on other consoles because they won't work. If you want to mod on console, you're best chance it to hope the next DA game allows for it.

Question-is the Mod Manager only for those on PC. If so, are there any plans to have mods available for console users on Inquisition-or develop a edition of the game that can utilize mods. For example-something like Skyrim Special Edition. The Frostbite engine, which DAI is built on, is notoriously mod-unfriendly. It took a lot of work to even get what we have for the PC and is still only a hacked together solution. Mods are not officially supported in any way for DAI; this is a community effort. This is far, far different from Skyrim as far as mods are concerned.
