I don’t care if the MP is below average. I don’t play MP.It could be made of cakes and rainbows or a screaming dumpster fire, it doesn’t affect me in the slightest. I wouldn’t be playing it even if it’s great. However, the devs have mentioned that they use it to help test SP, so I benefit from its existence. I found Inquisition’s combat to be very satisfying, mechanically. The stats and abilities had a good interplay with each other, with a rewardingly high ceiling if I sat down and optimized. So as far as I’m concerned, whatever testing they do is working. I hope they continue to do the same in DA4. If you buy into that horse shit excuse it's up to you...but then I'd ask, what was the last quality SP DLC Bioware released. I mean on the level of awaking? Trespasser.

Hell, I think Trespasser is BETTER than Awakening in pretty much every way except size. (And probably Trespasser would not have worked nearly as well if it was as long as Awakening.)

Indeed they've done a fwe high quality DLC's and in som ecaseds som of the DLC's are better in some cases than the main game such as Lair of the Shadow broker for ME2 and Citadel for ME3 was pretty high quality too.

Legacy, Tresspasser, Descent, Jaws of Hakkon...though that one is probably pushing it... and that's just in Dragon Age. Don't get me wrong I loved Awakening and consider it almost a seperate game given how superior it was to Origins but BioWare has continued to release a lot of quality content in the 'DLC' department.

Apparently I'm the only one that thought Awakening just sucked. I do a couple trilogy runs a year and never bother to replay. I pretty much enjoy the rest of the DLC's with Legacy, MOTA, and Trespasser being personal favorites.

Tresspasser was absolutely bad ass in my opinion.

It's so weird how I've played a vast majority of the DLC's for Mass Effect, but I've never played ANY of the DLC for Dragon Age; though I've played every game in the franchise.

Forced microtransactions, loot boxes, multiplayer, etc. Typical of EA.

Me, too; Trespasser was fucking awesome. Yes, I thought the way some of the romances were handled was shitty, but overall the narrative was gripping and even emotional. Awakening, on the other hand, was just kind of really long, and since I didn't particularly enjoy DAO I'm sure that taints my feelings about it.

Now, as for MP in DA, yeah DAIMP was pretty crappy, and I only played it twice.
I personally am tired from picking from a collection of set characters. EA seems really fond of this model. Why not let me play as my character I already spent an hour in CC perfecting? Maybe these are side journeys/quests that I can go on within the SP player game. I click on the map or whatever, and MP begins. Or maybe I design my MP character since I guess it wouldn't make sense to play several MCs all in one universe.
Anyway, one reason I tend to lose interest in MP is I have no investment in my character. I don't really enjoy playing someone else's character, so if I could design my MP character I'd be way more invested.

The DA DLC's are pretty good to oif there's one thing that is common throughout both Bioware's ME and DA series it's that the DLC's for the games are pretty high quality stuff. TBH I enjoy all the DLC's that they've done.
