A meme is arising around the "Alpha Gameplay Footage" banners on recent videos, particularly the Fort Tarsis exploration from IGN First. Even though they were all shot around the same time, early December, on the same old build, the fact that these videos are being dropped now make people think the current build is still in alpha, and because it's only a week away from the VIP demo, it means the game is unstable and crap.
I know, time and calendars are hard for some people to grapple with, but it's a growing meme nonetheless.

I’d say it’s just people trying to generate panic. EA has been playing it safe and I don’t think the game the has anything that’s too concerning other than the fact that it’s far different from past BioWare games.

The day I take anything with IGN on it even remotely seriously...
On one hand you have Anthem’s footage from a who-knows-how-old build that will tell you very little about the actual state of the game now and people are losing their shit that it’ll be crap at release.
On the other hand you have completely broken clusterfuck that was Fallout 76’s B.E.T.A., that was basically retail version with next to no chance for anything to be fixed before release and yet there were people screaming that Bethesda will fix it before launch or shortly thereafter.
This is internet WAI for you. From extreme to extreme, no middle ground whatsoever. Better to get used to it and learn to filter out all this bullshit from both ends.
