Remember when every Bioware game had to have a fan-made trailer set to this song? I do.
Feel free to post yours here.
Pretty soon we'll all get to see what ANTHEM is about. Are you excited?
EDIT: Happy Launch Day, everyone! I'll be seeing you fabulous freelancers soon!

That song gives me flashbacks to the feels I had when I finished DAO for the first time. And the second. And the third..
Really nice job on the trailer! I wish BioWare had put out something like this, I'm a sucker for musical and/or cinematic game trailers.

Did you do the video editing too? I just ask because if you did, they need to hire you for the add campaigns. First time I've seen a video of Anthem that felt like it had any real feeling to it. Actually had a chill run down my spine.

Actually had a chill run down my spine. Yes, I did the editing using the trailers that Bioware had put out earlier. I wish I had been able to capture them in a higher resolution.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It's always gratifying to hear someone liked something I did. Having good material to work with was half the battle, so kudos to the Bioware team for putting together some great montages. Many of the clips only had to have a timing tweak to get the feel I wanted.
I'm excited to fire up the game now -- hope to see you guys there!

DAO is great once you get used to the combat. The Warden is still my favorite DA protagonist, probably because of the wry dialogue choices. She just seemed bemused by all the crazy stuff happening all the time.

Yeah, I had to give up on it simply because of, how shall I say it, lack of typing skills. Found DAI and all its dlc on ps store for 10 bucks and am really enjoying it. Feels alittle antiquated compared to games like Andromeda and Odyssey which make me realize just how far the graphic side of technology has come in just the last few years though.

Shoot I didn't realize you put that together...now I feel like a doofus. Super good job. I wish I had the knowledge to put something like that together. Yeah, I still remember seeing that DAO trailer that made me run to store and pickup a copy. I've been a Bioware obsessed fan since.

Feels a little antiquated compared to games like Andromeda and Odyssey which make me realize just how far the graphic side of technology has come in just the last few years though. Did DAO just feel too old? The design and combat are very old-school and I could see getting kind of fed up if the characters don't grab you right away. But the characters and story are so good once you get further in. Also, DAO (of the 3 DA titles) had the best approach to the climactic end battle, IMO. The choices at the end were just so... fitting.
The first time I played DAO I couldn't get past the first fight in the Tower of Ishal and almost packed it in. Same with the first fight at Redcliffe. Setting up the companions' AI helped a lot, because they had an unfortunate tendency to get me killed. Morrigan froze my Warden during fights several times.
DAI (and its cast) was pretty good. Dorian and Cole made me laugh and cry several times. Remember to leave the Hinterlands before you get sick of it. Unlike Lothering you can go back later to do stuff. Also, DEATH TO BEARS!
This video is by KayGryph and may have some spoilers for Inquisition, though much it is video from prelaunch trailers.

New to the pc games and DAO's controls really feel antiquated compared to say skyrim, which is the only game I've really played on pc. Kept running into walls and such. Basically poor typing skills on my end. I'm actually really enjoying DAI other than the micromanaging of the followers which gives me the feel of spending too much time in the menus. I will say that if they make a DA4, I hope they start fresh character wise. Feels like there are too many back stories going on if you haven't played any of the previous titles. Cassandra's actually the only character I'm familiar with simply because I watched the animated movie that came out for DA2 a few years back.

If I remember correctly, navigating was done really old school, so you left clicked where you wanted to go rather than using WASD, right? It's ok if you don't want to go back to it, but I do feel having played the early games makes the following ones richer. I started Mass Effect at ME2 and went back to ME once I was hooked on the world. Playing ME2 again with an import save was amazing. The DA franchise doesn't have as many direct connections between games, but a lot of the lore is set up in early games.
At this point you could probably watch a playthrough of DAO on youtube to get all the background without having to suffer the mechanics.

@ Shinobu I remember picking up ME2 when it came out. Its actually the reason I got back into gaming. Amazed to see how far the games had come since I had quit gaming in the early 90's. Work kept me busy so I didn't pick the gaming backup till Destiny came out. Kinda veged out on it for a couple of years till I retired. I've tried some of the online pvp only games, not my thing. I've played and loved games like Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us, The Witcher 3, Elex, Conan Exiles, and ME Andromeda to name a few. I'm really liking DAI though it does feel like it needs a reboot. I'm at the point in the game I feel like I'm making to many decisions based on earlier games. LOL, my Inquisitor basically wants to beat the bad guy, clean out the corruption at all levels of all the major factions, replace them, grab Cassandra and start an exotic horse farm. Fade out to 200 years in the future and the corruption has reemerged and is in need of a new hero to clean out the riff raff. Anthem. Felt like I needed to say the word since we are talking DA in a Anthem thread.

Quit gaming for about 10 years then bought DAO for my husband and decided to play it myself when he didn't get around to it. It blew me away. For the first time I felt a CRPG was doing roleplaying right instead of just focusing on inventory management and stats. Roleplaying should be about talking to NPCs, not about how many feet of rope fit in my backpack. I still think DAO has the best NPCs of any DA game.
Your Inquisitor's goals seem entirely reasonable. And you can arrange things to sever the links to the previous games' factions and NPCs, so going forward you don't have to worry about so-and-so's backstory.
I'm wondering if we'll get as attached to the Anthem NPCs. They seem pretty quirky so far.

If I choose Cassandra to run the Chantry, will I lose her as a follower. She's my tank. I am going to get DA 2 for pc. Kinda getting hooked on the DA story. Really hoping they make DA 4! I've actually stayed away from the Anthem demo's. I'm more of the play then decide type if its something I'm interested in. I actually had 2 play throughs and was working on a 3rd with Andromeda before I realized all the bad press from social media had basically got it nixed. Was so wanting some dlc for it.

It's been a while since I've played DAI and I got Leliana as my Divine, so this particular issue didn't arise for me. I think you can still get the Divine (Cass or Viv) to be in your party, it's just that they say they will leave after the Breach is closed. Maybe someone with a better memory can weigh in? I used Cass as my tank as well. I think she, Cole and Solas were known as Team Mutually Respectful Moral and Theological Debate, which I liked, although I was more likely to take Cass, Dorian and Solas.
Since you're considering DA2:
Dragon Age 2 This is War Trailer by darkroker375. The footage is from the from the DA2 marketing trailer, so no excessive spoilers.
DA2 was my least favorite of the DA games, but snarky Hawke had some good lines.
I would also love a sequel to Andromeda. I'm very attached to Scott and Sara Ryder and hope to have another game where they are both awake and interacting with each other.

Do you l I did pretty much the same.
I'm at the beat the bad guy mission. Quick question. No you won't lose her as companion. You may have to have an extra chat though.

I've played all three options as the Devine (did eight runs, one for each race, for both genders). Mostly, I leaned toward Leliana (unhardened) as the Devine, but Cassandra was fine. Vivienne is exactly the a-hole she appears to be … I chose her just to see how it would play out.

Thanks to everyone for your replies on DAI. Think I've decided on Leliana though not sure what an unhardened Leliana is and she's been a kind of tough cookie to crack without playing through the earlier games.
Shinobu, again, really enjoy your videos and look forward to seeing any new ones you are working on! Its still the only vid of Anthem I've seen that makes me want to play Anthem at an emotional level vs. just the game play.
