Good morning! The Dread Wolf teaser has my Dragon Age juices flowing again. Once I complete Red Dead Redemption 2 I am going to start a trilogy play through before the new game hits. I've never played any DLCs so I will add the story important ones.
Point of post: My first play through years ago was as follows:
DA:O Dwarf Commoner 2H Warrior, romanced Leliana, sacrificed himself to defeat the demon, and pretty much made good guy choices. DA:2 Sarcastic Mage Hawke, tended to side with the mages being one himself. Romanced Isabela. DA: I Elf Rogue, sided with the mages, romanced Cullen.
I'm thinking for my final play through, and for story leading up to DA4, I'll shake things up a bit.
DA:O Leaning Human Rogue, romancing Morrigan, having the baby and taking the throne for myself. DA:2 Stern 2H Warrior Hawke, siding with the Templars DA:I Either S&S or Mage Human, romance Cassandra.
Thoughts? Also any thoughts on which DLCs to wander through (Trespasser of course, can't believe I haven't played this one)

Sounds fun!
You said you never do the DLC's. Just remember to do the Stone Prisoner. Shale is one of the best companions and is very much under-rated in terms of utility.

Shale is entertaining. I think she is mediocre as a squaddie though, at least past mid game. But I heartily endorse picking squadmates for banter and such rather than power.
I don't have much to say about classes except that I love 2H warrior a lot more than rogue in DAO. For DAI, mage does have slightly different romance dialogue with Cass so worth doing at least once.

In DAO I am currently a dual wield warrior Cousland, who will romance Leliana and take the throne and make her his mistress. In DA2 I am planning on playing a mage Hawke who will romance Isabela. In DAI I will play either a human templar who romances Cassandra, or a Qunari dual wielder who will romance Josephine.

It is really handy in the Deep Roads. Mhm. Also makes sense, given how insanely dangerous that particular journey is. Leave Alistar behind to avoid both Wardens potentially dying down there, and use Shale as the tank for that stretch instead.
