So bad remembering the names of (anything) the guns. The marksman rifle which shot 3 times per press was used most.

I think I ended up using Fulcrum and Blastback the most on my Interceptor, Fulcrum mostly for trash and swapping to Blastback for that sweet crit damage on bosses.
But really, I prefer stabbing.

I mostly used the Blastback pistol (for the heavy caliber hits) and the Warden assault rifle (rapid fire to deplete shields).
But none of the weapons I collected really stood out to me.

But none of the weapons I collected really stood out to me. I had a couple of blue ones, a bunch of green ones, and only a few grey ones after I recycled the ones that had the same name but with smaller numbers. Some were long and fat, some looked like they might fit in my hand, and the big heavy looking ones I never got around to trying.

They were kinda all shit. Shooting made my screen shake wildly and uncontrollably. Frames? Recoil? Bug? I turned to melee and abilities when I unlocked 7nterceptor. I used a shotgun aand a smg with that. The smg had high fire rate bu5 dint shake the screen around.

Guardian and Deadeye I think they were called (really hard to keep them all apart they all look the same to me) - didn't have time to test the Devastator but heard/read that thing is a beast

Deadeye was my sniper. I think I tried out the Devastator but settled for the Deadeye because reasons. I tried some different complements but settled for Savage LMG partly because I got that rare LMG ammo component.

I found a light machine gun with better ammo and free rate for the same range and damage as the best scout rifle. The hammerhead? Hammerstrike? That and a sniper rifle (the Deadeye) made my Storm a force to be reckoned with.
Edit: I might be thinking of the Sledgehammer. I used the Relentless as the main on my Ranger. I never did find a heavy pistol I loved enough to level up the schematic.

And why exactly is it the devastator? I loved the scout at first, then realised that as the storm it would be much better to up my DPS even more so tried the lmgs. Ended up using the relentless more than anything. 100 bullets in a clip and recoil that makes you work to stay on target forcing you to not face roll the storm and making you work. It ups my DPS by a lot and is fun as hell to use.

Guessing the heavy pistols are good on pc? I found them terrible on Xbox. Uncontrollable recoil, slow firing and not fun.

Guessing the heavy pistols are good on pc? I found them terrible on Xbox. Uncontrollable recoil, slow firing and not fun. They basically felt like a scopeless light sniper to me. More rounds in the mag than a rifle with comparable damage too. Machine guns were kinda funny - they get more accurate the longer you keep shooting on PC. Hold down the trigger and watch the target circle shrink...

The shotguns and the grenade launchers were my favorite. The Devastator was useful but situational.

I used the Sledgehammer assualt rifle as primary on Ranger and secondary on Colossus. Found it to have nice punch, good fire rate. While holding 50 rounds.
The Devastator I used as secondary on Ranger. Very useful on armored targets but with limited ammo. Had to pick shots where needed. Also nice for taking out weak enemies grouped together with one round since they were explosive rounds. Also paired with Spark Beam, my Ranger could take out turrets in seconds from range.

Mostly stuck with medium range assault rifles and shotguns, but had a blast when I equipped my Colossus with the grenade launcher that fired three sticky grenades per pull. Sadly, I can't remember its name, but I'm looking for it at release! I never got a chance to try Devastator at more than common level.

Personally not a big fan of the guns in this game. The devastator was the only one that stood out to me in any way.
I'm currently playing BFV, and the gunplay in that game just feels leagues beyond what we have in Anthem. I'm not too bummed about it, since it seems like abilities are going to be the focus of Anthem combat anyway.

So I tried a wide variety of AR's, MG's, and SR's...only tried a couple SG's and no pistols. The two I settled on that really worked with all my frames was the Relentless MG (high rate of fire and a ton of ammo) and the Whirlwind SR that did decent damage and had and 8 round magazine...probably more akin to an AR but with a scope. The weird thing about the Relentless was the longer you continuously fired the more stability and accuracy you achieved. That runs counter to all my experiences with firearms, but what the hay, it's fantasy.

I was disappointed with the colossus' miniguns so I can't remember which one I used. The grenade launcher that fired 3 sticky's was ok. For the ranger I used scattershot shotgun and the AR that had the highest damage but lowest rate of fire.
