My worry is that with Cataclysms being a "time-limited" World Event is that they will release them during hours that most people are at work (ie anywhere from 7 am to 5 pm) Monday through Friday, for maybe a few hours at any given time....and then by the time the rest of the world gets home from work there will be little to nothing left of the experience. I know that sounds really silly, and I'm sure Bioware won't do that because they will know that people have lives, day jobs outside of their hobby of gaming, or maybe even families to be responsible for....So I am sure they will be far more flexible, forgiving and realistic with their scheduling. This is just my brain being over-actively pessimistic, unnecessarily. It was mentioned that they would last a couple weeks and that the goal was for them not to be fully complete-able in the first week. Meaning that you would have to play through it, gain loot, and then use that loot to fully complete it.

Cant remember if it was Jon Warner or some other dev, but they said that Cataclysms last for some time. Hopefully a few days....But also, I hope that it's not something that you literally have to be in "the right place at the right time" and "don't blink or you'll miss it" kind of thing....I mean, I found the orange cloud easy enough....But for the life of me, I couldn't find the Ash Titan that lots of people had said had spawned. I'm hoping that whatever happens....it will happen for everyone and that we will all be able to see/find it and experience it. Not that it will be limited and hidden for those who are only online at the time and lucky enough to be in the right area of the map.
Again, my pessimistic brain.
I think the cataclysm will be timed like the global events in The Division. That is one week every month. Depending on how long time they have for each act. A month? A quarter? If an act is for a quarter then the cataclysm may span several weeks. It can't be too long though because then it will lose that edxclusivity feeling.

I worry that the hardcore looter crowd out there is going to raise a fuss about not having enough endgame activity of loot to chase. Then again my observation is that they do that in virtually every game. I think Anthem will probably have enough content on the ground at launch to satisfy but a lot is going to depend on their content pipeline in the next few months. Never enough content for the hardcore players, but I don't really think that there are that many hardcore players. They just yell the loudest. I'm making the break from over 4 years of Destiny simply because Anthem looks more casual. Anthem won't grab Destiny's hardcore players but I have a pretty good feeling it will grab alot of the so called Destiny pve casuals that realize that Destiny is a full time game if they want to play the end game content. Biggest draw for me is its simplicity compared to Destiny. If I'm playing solo, I can run solo or use matchmaking. If I have a couple friends on, we can party up and if we're short one, let matchmaking take care of it. Something we couldn't do in Destiny for endgame. Swear we spent more time in a week trying to coordinate getting 6 of us on at the same time and even when we could we rarely had enough time to run a full raid. I guess I'm one of the few that thinks Anthems going to do really well on release but I will agree it is going to need regular content drops to keep it from getting stale and from seeing how Bungie struggles with it, it is easier said than done.

Two weeks, buddy, two more weeks till we can fly the skies.....Hope to see you out in the world

I agree....It can't be tooo long, I'm sure when we start playing though everything will be explained. And I like how they've broken up the story content into Acts (kinda like DA II) but timing each Act, each story segment for say....every two months or quarter, with more on the way for next quarter....is an excellent way of breaking up the game story so that players don't finish it in two days and then say "Well, I'm done....That was (insert adjective)" But keeping the story fresh and engaging. Also we have to think about the Cataclysm as a real-life storm.....Storms can't last forever. Months perhaps, depenind on what continent you reside and what season it is there for you....But in most parts of the world, storms may last only for a few hours to a few days (ie hurricane season in the tropics). Then vanish. If Devs have at all modeled their Cataclysms after true-to-life storms....It should be interesting

So long as Cataclysms aren't like those stupid Taken incursions in Destiny 1 that happen every 10 minutes. Those things are annoying.

Hi Obadiah....I can't really speak to anything in Destiny as I have not played it. I've seen clips of it on youtube, and personally, I think it's a few steps backwards in a lot of categories; something about it kinda bothers me though I can't really pin point what. I have not played Destiny so I cannot compare the two titles, but from everything I have seen about ANTHEM I am sure it will be interesting and fun to play.
