Here are a few changes I would like to see for the next Mass Effect - CUTSCENES:-Would like to see BioWare use 21:9 cinematic ratio for the cutscenes, 1920×800 would use less GPU power than a full 1920x1080 and more details could be added to cutscenes. Old- New- GAMEPLAY:-Don't have any issues with the core mechanics of MEA, but BioWare could perhaps fine tune and make minor changes to some of the animations during gunplay. Also make the players feel "heavier" while using the jump jets. Just to add, would like an option to disable HUD elements or completely turn them off. CAMERA POSITIONS:-
I would prefer to see a camera position similar to Anthem or The Last of Us when your weapon is holstered, also while roaming in hubs like the Nexus.

So you wantthe black bars to come and go depending on whether we're looking at a cutscene or are in standard gameplay?

The hud I definitely agree with. I mainly want the hud for the tab to skip traveling between planets to go away. But, I keep the hud because I need it for other things. But if I could either quickly get rid of it for visual effects or disable specific parts I’d be thrilled.
The camera angle would look better like that but I’m not sure if I’d find it disorienting or difficult to navigate with the jump jets.
As for the black bars. If it actually improves the graphics I’m not opposed.

I could live with the black bars if graphics improved. Everything else I agree with. Keep the hud available though just have an option to turn it off.

Keep the hud available though just have an option to turn it off. And not hidden neck deep in the menu screen either. One button press on kb/m. These things shouldn't be so hard.

Put minimap back. Take off the skill limit. Let us give orders to companions again
These three things would already be great.

Change resolution and display settings for the cutscene and go back after the cutscene ends? That would involve perceptible re-rendering times before and after the cutscene.

It would likely degrade performance.

Cutscenes: No more fixed (rorarable) over the shoulder camera dialogues. Make dialogues where we loose character control fully cinematic. If that means a few less side dialogues, I'm fine with that. Always go with quality over quantity. Gameplay: Here I'd introduce a few changes: - Smaller maps (still some that are big enough to drive a little but maybe about half the size of Eos/Voeld/Elaaden. In turn, give us less filler stuff and more environmental variety (and maybe a few more planets) instead. In short, I'd rather have two Hawarls than one Voeld . - If we have a vehicle, add vehicle combat. - Personally, I'd love a flying vehicle but that is probably not feasible (especially if you go with smaller maps). - Almost every star system should have one map that we can explore off-ship. I don't mean every system needs a planet, could just be a small space station or another more confined location with a small story to it (think N7 missions in ME2). Make less explorable systems if needed or if it's all too much make 2 out of 3 systems have some small place to go to. In any case, the amount of systems that were only for scanning was too high in Andomeda. - If not all crew members always have new things to say, add a map to our ship that shows us which crew members have new dialogue to talk about (similar to Tarsis in Anthem), so we can avoid doing pointless laps around the ship after every mission. - By all means, add little things to find on the maps (interactions for codex entries, data pads, audio logs, maybe some hard to find weapons or mods, etc.) but do not add them as symbols on the map. (Again, Anthem did very well in that department). - Allow us to pause/bullet time and give specific orders to the squad again. They were truely useless in Andromeda (apart from that, Andromeda gameplay was pretty good, keep it). - Use a dialogue system inspired by Dragon Age Inquisition, meaning no paragon/renegade but also not those standard 4 response types that don't do anything, just be flexible and meaningful, like Inquisition was. - Moooaar Interrupts. - Keep the general feel of Andromeda's galaxy map, that was great! - Don't make too many hubs without an attached gameplay area. Having one like the Nexus or the Citadel is fine but a second one (like Aya in Andromeda) is stretching it. Would have been nice to explore a little outside of the city on Aya for example.
