'Twas The Night Before the Cat in The Hat
The Cat in a Hat knew where it was at
He confronted, gallunted, and challenged the brats
With ideas and rhymes that blew their young minds
In the manner and kind of arrogant prats
But still, in the manner of stories for kids
It embroiled their minds in the sillest of skits
Until in the midst of their bold rhyming cheer
The rulez of new internetz would replace that held dear
The cat, it would say, was oppressed and maltreated
Ridiculed, mocked, and often was beated
Peta would catch him (to save him, claimed plain)
(Before he was euthanized without an explain)
Liberals would claim with disappointed dismay
Left unchecked, cats would lead children astray
Conservatives, in a state of enraged
Would claim cats were to blame and state they're to be caged
Doctor Suess that seditious pernicious contricious
Would be locked up.
And that would suck.
