Been wondering if the playtime of Early Access and the released version is combined. For reasons. On Steam it is too.

I doubt he will go very far but this is Lexanor Seldarine Drow Sorlock. Has recruited the base companions and is just about to get rid of the bandits above the Dank Crypt. Currently he's Sorceror 1/Warlock 1, but the plan, if I ever get that far would be to go Sor10/War2. That's not a build I'm familiar with . How does a Sor/War work?

That's not a build I'm familiar with . How does a Sor/War work? I'm no expert so I'm feeling my way a bit, but my understand is Warlock 2 for Eldritch Blast with Agonizing Blast for extra damage and Sorcerer 10 for Twinned Spell and Quickened Spell to boost the Eldritch Blast even more. The Warlock short rest is used to get spells back and then the Sorcerer convert spells to meta-magic to get Sorcery Points to boost EB more. Since EB is based on character level and not class level you only need the two levels of Warlock for everything useful there and more levels of Sorcerer gives you more Sorcery Points and more spells to use or sacrifice.

I was not prepared for the song. (Well... it definitely changed the mood of the battle.)Just met Raphael for the first time in the new PT. The music plays softly in the background when he teleports you to the House of Hope and offers you a feast.

Well, we had the 3 Netherstones now, and all the side quests tidied up, so it was time to push into the Endgame... The first question was... who to bring? The first two were easy - Lae'zel and Karlach had to come. So it was really just a question whether to bring Gale or Wyll. And, uh... since I kinda forgot about Gale, it wound up not being a question at all! So then we were off to Lake... Mountain Dew. (Possibly radioactive MD) There are so many caves and lakes and enormous sewer systems under the city, it's a wonder the whole thing hasn't collapsed in on itself. There is this one spot where you had to climb down a cliff wall that had me scratching my head. It feels like there should be something down here, but I couldn't find anything. Naturally... Then finally... Krang! Battle of the Big Brains! Well... that didn't quite go to plan.

Early access being counted too is comforting. The time is still concerning, but a bit less so spent between three and a half-ish years instead of just 8 months. Did enjoy almost all of the hours so fine with it in that way but still. More Alice posting who owns a big old chunk of my playtime considering her many iterations. Act 1 spoilers and some durge stuff. Think it's weird nobody comments on the durge ripping the wings of a poor exhausted bird. Even if it is a blue jay. Nettie continues to be useless at healing but a decent despenser of poisions. Redeemed Kagha and got the Owlbear cub orphaned, imprisoned and now lost in the wilderness. Astarion got a nibble of the Durge's ink black blood. Yum yum. Was expecting Lae'zel since she'd been talking about Alice smelling tasty, but this is one of the many surprising wake up calls in the game. Always been fond/horrified of Voss awakening. Shadowheart joins us and spills the beans about Shar, but "accidentally" so after hearing that "Shar's secrets must be protected" Alice is still surprised that Shadowheart does indeed worship Shar. So gave her a lovely statue of Selune to keep her company Put it on the stool since I'm not invited to sit there just yet. Ardent Apostle seems to only require removing your armour. Wearing a shield and having camp outfit visible still gives you the perk. Do with that info as you will. Visited Razlin while we're still buddies and stocked him up with some Firewine and Oil and a tiny bit of powder, so he'll have fun later. Again Alice in chains. Except this time we have not met Raphael and while Korilla gave her own name she didn't snitch on her master. Spike the punch and succeed the intimdation check. But they were all nice and bunched up and I had that spell of Cloud of Knives... One of the drunk Bugbears at the upper balcony actually manage to put Alice and Shadowheart down. Lae'zel and Astarion still ripped him apart but props to him either way. Then freed Halsin and after bartering one last time with Roah it was time to cut the Hydra down. Found a ring of posion resistance in a skeleton in the room where you enter the prison area. Which was neat. Dealt with the goblins around the chapel first then summoned a kitty into my stockpile of Barrells and bye bye Razlin Me? Bitter? Never. Astarion managed to crit Minthara with his bow so she will not be joining us. Can't risk her shanking Halsin after all. Pushed her in the pit, juuuust to be sure. Awww poop. Alice decided to take the upper balcony in the temple (whyyyy the bottom way is clear, I didn't tell you to climb ) and we got sneak attacked by Raphael so no party crashing from him. Also. New spawn point baby! (Did cheat and look up a thread about it, just wanted to see it. ) But ended up getting some more loot and am free to go to the Underdark, so it's fine. Go to the Underdark. Let the moonstone destroy the Minataur before we destroy it. The bulette ended up yeeting Alice into the chasm, so that was fun. Then the twit managed to get away with 5 hitpoints to spare. Boo lizard. Boo. End the session with a nap in the Mushroom colony and am amused to find out that Lae'zel's bedding scene still takes place in the overworld temple, so they went all the way back above ground to smash then all the way back down to continue the adventure. No wonder she was exhausted after. Got so much backlog of rest talks left. Oof. Thankfully we are well stockpiled on munchies.

Yeah, I see it now. I keep forgetting that 5e allows so much cross-class magical synergy. Are you going to be blowing people off of cliffs a lot? Or will you go another route and keep the loot?

Did enjoy almost all of the hours so fine with it in that way but still. At least you've got real stats. I keep leaving games running in the background, sometimes by accident, sometimes not. So it's all garbage. Steam thinks I have 860 hours in Starfield now. I like the game, but not that much.

Took on the Spider Matriarch at level 3, which was ambitious for me at this slightly elevated difficulty level. Died first time around. It was getting very sticky with two characters down, and then a series of critical misses just sealed the deal. Did better/luckier the second time around.

More Alice stuff. Spoilers for Act 1 and beginning of Act 2. Hi Got destroyed by Bernard last time I tried him on honour mode so made sure to find the right poem and was planning to get the freebies and my new favourite chair leg. So make them friendly, get the ring of light and am going to get the potion but forgot that poem is on the table on the top floor, so I actually picked the "murder me" option. And was like Welp. That's the honour mode over. So went into flight mode except for some reasons Bernard and buddies didn't use the elevator. Wonder if the bulette's thick rump being parked there dissauded them? So tried taking some pot shots at Berard and didn't die. Then manage to yeet him off the top floor where he for some reason got stunned for two turns. So just wailed on him and managed to put him down. So that was real neat. Haven't tangled with him and won since like Early Access or something. So at least one win for this run. "Its the artifact we need, not her." I beg to differ, who else will carry all our stuff?! Karlach? She'll be running for the hills when she finds out the crap we do outside of camp. Think they changed the Underdark boat encounter since I've had had the guy you kick in the river appear on the shore but now he and his stuff are just gone. Still worth it. Once more the gnomes are freed and this time I didn't even kill Philomena! Took her barrel tho. Mine. Think Lae'zel was too rough with Nere since the game skipped the cutscene where you hack his head off and just focused on the lamp instead. She was using an axe so guess it fits. Astarion is being annoying and wont trigger his talks. Not even to have his hair complimented. Boo. He knows how bad I got it for Lae'zel I guess. Guess who's back, back again, Owlbear's back tell a friend. Would've been very cross if I hadn't cheesed the Grym fight because the game crashed at the Lava Elemental and I had to redo the whole thing. But delicious cheese. Did not check if it broke honor mode so should probably do that next session... Party came in clutch and Astarion has been smashed. Kinda amused that if you're high enough approval he skips the whole attempt at seduction and just goes "We'll be meeting later". So no "Say please" alas. Also like that her ink black blood goes neon red in that scene. Saved Kagha this time around. Her cowering like a beaten puppy when Halsin laid into her probably tipped me to her side. Gave the Inquistor some Nautilaud barrels for old times sakes. Burn bastard, burn. Got the blood of Lathander Miscalculated so everyone except Alice went BOOM Good thing Withers is cheap. Speaking of foreboding artefacts realized I clean forgot to clear the spiders out of the cellars. So did that and enjoyed being over levelled while doing it. Never got the scene where Astarion asks you to look on the scars on his back but he pretends like I did. And like I did see them at the party but no comment was made. Figure it's the high approval "You know exactly what you are doing" theme. Freed Dolly Dolly Dolly because I'm too lazy to use the lamp. And too mean to pass up the opportunity to insult Spiderman. Almost got wipe, but still, worth it. And failed the performance check. Everyone gets mutilated! Even the Lyres

Alright, after that... minor setback... we regrouped in the Astral Plane. Picked up some odd bits of loot left over from the last time we were here. (Though as to why I'm scrounging for coppers at this stage of the game, I couldn't tell you.)After some Astral Hopscotch, we caught up with The Emperor... with his empire of one. The globe effect is pretty cool though. Which soon became an empire of none. Then - Decision Time. And boy-howdy did I learn a lot about how my companions really feel about me. Okay, so someone had to become a Mind Flayer in order to take on Krang. So I thought - Okay, let's see how both options play out. First up, I volunteered myself. NOT A WORD OF PROTEST FROM ANYONE IN THE PARTY. Even my LI - nothing. Karlach: "Are you okay?" Me: "Do I @#$%-ing look okay?" Alright then - RELOAD. Orpheus, you're up. Lae'zel: "Nooooo... you caaaaaaan't...!" Oh, he can. And... we're off!

Necroquote: I'm not saying I wish this, I'm really not, but it would still make me laugh in sardonic way if 'DA4' crashes with not even nominations anywhere, and BGIII gets GOTY or more likely a RPGOTY or at least nomination. Looks like we're halfway there. Let's hope we don't go all the way.

Got Sylvie the bard as far as Investigate the Beach. I really liked the special bard options for that quest, although I was a bit disappointed that she didn't actually get to audibly sing the alternative song. The problem with BG3 having so much stuff packed into it is that anything you want seems possible.
Can't tell if I had bad strategy for the fight, or if I just had crap save rolls. Got through it anyway, so no harm done.

With the rumors/leaks about DA4, and with how much I (very personally, acknowledging faults and shortcomings) like what FFVII Rebirth offers, I already doubt DA4 will get a RPGOTY out of me, just 1/4 into the year. Open to being impressed.

Killed lots of Gnolls today, then went to the cave with the Flind and its cutscene didn't fire. Died. Reloaded. Second time it did fire and got the Flind to kill both Rugen and then help with the rest of its pack and then killed it for good measure. For the first time ever I haven't opened the chest.
Earlier I disturbed the lovers in the barn. Astarion approved, Karlach didn't. Even earlier I found the Necromancy of Thay and gave it to Astarion instead of reading the first page as I normally do to get the intrinsic Speak to the Dead.

Think my map is broken. It's overlaying Rivington over the Shadowlands. Chill game I'm enjoying Act 2 for once. But like I never really look at the map that much so is it common or a compensation for my favourite face stretch glitch being gone? And some Alice musings. He-Who-Was reminds me of Rowan from Boyfriend Dungeons. Except I can't pick him up and swing him at enemies. Or wait. I could do that. Hmmmm. Stumbled into the Shambling Mound encounter. He's horrible on the best of days and they gave him a legendary move as well. "Stand stock still" does not make Dammon hug Karlach but instead she just gropes you. And well, the groping was nice but I'm trying to hook you up. Saved Rolan. Which is nice. And Mattis and Myrkon live Also gained like 100 fondness points for Ide because the boy can clap back on insults. Sadly he hates me now but it was worth it. Got the chess scene with Raphael (made her loose the game since I told her "Oooh he's a devil, he's a bad little man he's a...(I have no clever exchange for rebel)...". The blushing apple line is still alive. Would've compared her to a spicy tomato instead. I think Lae'zel's romance cutscene is about to fire. Loaded up the drow and spammed every variant on the scene for science. The option I thought was a cruel breakup was instead a sassy/spicy option. I'm so screwed. And if I make it past this one there will be so many exclamation marks. Then again it might be Wyll's cutscene too. Or maybe I'm lucky and it's just a quiet night at camp and we can go to the House of Healing and be hosed down with holy water and antiseptic's. But leaving it for tomorrow. Because got the vibe I'm going to mess things up. And of course I will, but at least I'll do it wide awake with no one to blame but myself!

Well, there goes the neighbourhood... literally. Voss took Orpheus' makeover in stride. (Though honestly, anything was an improvement over that beard.) We made our way over to some nearby building where some rando Flaming Fist pops up and starts making speeches. I'm thinking to myself... I have no idea who you are. Who said you could speak to me?/Vertouski Okay, so this was a surprise. I was expecting a send off from the other party members, but not... Even Murder Cow showed up... *sniff* I thought it was a nice touch, and taking the time to talk with everyone actually took a bit o' time. Then I realized my moment had come. A captive audience for my final performance! Murder Cow - you're ruining my moment! Afterward, I thought it was funny how everyone is like... Goodbye & good luck!

Voss took Orpheus' makeover in stride. (Though honestly, anything was an improvement over that beard.) I think any time I'm not romancing Lae'zel I'll do this. It's a bit shit, but the alternatives are worse IMO. Unless I really embrace the tadpole, but I can't see that happening at the moment.

I was surprised how... ... little impact the decision had on your crew. Whether I turned or Orpheus, no one other than Lae'zel had an opinion on it at all. Yeah, I agree, it feels a bit dodgy asking Orpheus, but he agrees readily enough. I didn't spend an entire game resisting it's use just to give in at the final lap. I was collecting all those tadpoles like Pokémon, but I can't say it ever really occurred to me to actually use them. I'm sure somewhere down the line I'll see where that storyline goes.

If I recall correctly, if you have Gale with you and choose certain dialogue options neither actually turns into a mind flayer.
