So I've been getting very random black screens with the message that says "No Signal", so random in fact that I could almost fool myself into thinking that it doesn't happen. Last night I spoke to someone from Nvidia and after collecting some System Info and spending a few minutes analyzing the configuration, he came back and said "it's not a 300% guarantee, but I am reasonably certain that in your case the issue is being caused because your motherboard's BIOS is severely outdated. Before Windows starts, when the System is Posting the BIOS tells all your hardware how to communicate. If you have a new piece of hardware (in your case a brand new high-end 4K Gaming monitor and a new 20 Series GPU) they need to know how to communicate with each other but also with the rest of the components in your system. If your BIOS is not up to date, they will be unable to communicate effectively and thus, could cause the issue of your monitor either having intermittent signal problems/loss or complete signal loss. Therefore, if you have done other things such as change the cables, double-check the connection etc and everything is in working order.......I would highly recommend that your next step be to update your BIOS, because it is four years out of date."
Now, all that being said....I have downloaded the most recent BIOS version from Gigabyte and followed the instructions to the letter. However, where I run into problems is after selecting "Update BIOS" in Q-FLASH and trying to select my USB drive where the file is saved......It doesn't see my USB. It sees everything else but my USB. For example, it picks up my back-up SSD and reads that as "UEFI B:\ Partition" and it picks up C:\ and C:\Unknown Volume (which if I click on that it comes up as System Volume Information...which I dare not touch). But it will not read my USB from the front 3.0 ports on my case. Not sure where else to connect it. Not sure what other steps to follow or how to solve this issue. I can't find the hard copy of my manual but have found an e-copy on Gigabyte's website. Copied down the instructions step-for-step and followed them.....But still the USB seems to be invisible.
I'm sure if I could get the BIOS updated, the problem would be completely solved...But i have never updated/Flashed a BIOS before.
Can someone please help?

Just a few things that come to mind:
-if possible, use your hard drive for BIOS updates, it's just safer. Create a new and easy to remember folder, like c:\newbios and save the update in there. -Use the USB port that you used for installing your OS (if you installed it yourself). Or try the USB ports in the back, they are usually under different controller.
Your MB can't see the front ports, because they are v3.0, which needs a driver to operate. You'll need a USB port with legacy support. New MBs should have at least one or two.

Hi Rewind, Unicephalon 40-D.....Thank you both for your advice! It is very appreciated; this has been driving me up the wall for a few days now...But your advice is appreciated. I will try what you both suggest and see if that works....Hopefully it will. If you'd like I will keep you posted on the progress/success of this issue....
Thanks again!

Morning, Rewind....One thing I have noticed though not with my BIOS but my new monitor...is backlight bleeding. I can't say how horrible it is or not because I have nothing to compare it to and I don't know if the amount i Have is worth the hassel of a return, given the odds of running the risk that the replacement I get may be the same or worse. I've never noticed this before on on my previous monitor so I didn't exactly know what to look for; at first I thought it was light reflecting from behind me, down the hall or most likely, from the orange lights on my motherboard which is on a table about 2.5 feet to the right of my desk. But I covered my glass tower with a towl and I still see it....though oddly enough not as badly, so I don't think it's even sa bad as I previously thought. SOme of the glow I am seeing I do think is from the lights on my motherboard.
So I googled....and I saw videos of what it looks like, and I realized that I have the same problem. Mine is only on the right side of the monitor in the bottom-right and top-right corners.....I'd say about 1 inch to 1.5 inches outwards from the corners in a triangle shape. A yellowish haze......Makes the center viewing angle of the screen look like a diamond shape......BUT, here's the trade off, the catch: I only see it if the screen is solid black. If there's any hint of colour, the screen looks perfectly fine. I guess that's why I haven't noticed it until now because all of my desktops have been full of bright colours.
It kills me though, debating a return and the risk of getting one the same or worse, especially considering the money I paid for this one. Yet just yesterday, I noticed that Amazon (and the order would be filled by amazon, not a third party seller) has the same monitor on for 500 dollars less than what I paid just 2 weeks ago. If I could be 300% guaranteed that the replacement would be absolutely perfect, I would do it, or maybe do the full return and get the less expensive (same monitor) from Amazon.....Trouble is, there is no way to know for certain.
SUCKS.

Yeah, backlight bleeding is a common problem in bigger monitors. Unfortunately there's no easy workaround for it. I would advice against any DIY solution, unless you are very experienced in repairing monitors. And you're right, a replacement is likely to have the same problem.
It certainly sucks.

I think it's just something new to me, because my previous monitor (the SD850T a 27 inch 60hz 1440p monitor from Samsung) was a full-aray W-LED backlight on an PLS screen and it used a TFT panel, which is Samsung's proprietary version of IPS technology) and it was perfect-- no bleeding, no stuck or dead pixels, no "IPS Glow"....nothing. So when I saw this....as I said for the first several days I never noticed it and iddn't even think to account for it because my desktops were full of bright colours and the picture was stunning. It wasn't until a just a few days ago when I was playing ANTHEM and the black loading screen....I began to see some slight discolouration in the corners, but even then I passed it off as anything other than 'backlight bleeding'.
In any case, it's not that bad....I've adjustted the settings to minimize it as much as I can and I'll get used to it over time.
THanks for your reply though. Be well, stay safe. "Stronger Together"

I've come to the conclusion that I had to return the 321HK to Amazon after continuous and compounding problems. I completed the return on Wednesday and it was received by Amazon yesterday. I am waiting on my refund to be processed but have already made a purchase for a new monitor to replace that piece of garbage. I happily settled on the PD3200U Professional Design Vue 32" 4K monitor from BENQ.
