Black transparent squares on hair?

Can you post a screenshot? And are they Bioware/vanilla hairstyles or from mods?

DAO has some weird issues with handling transparency, noticeably with hair, but it usually takes the form of an odd, blurry outline... I've never encountered black squares/pixels, though.

I have it turned off.

Actually while we're dealing with the odd hair thing. Don't suppose you'd know why DAO woul be hemorrhaging frames sometimes? I know the game is old and has a memory leak issue. But I already have the 4GB patch and my hardware is more than capable so it's...annoying more than anything.

for reference I have a GTX 1080, i7 8700k, 16GB of RAM and the game is installed on an SSD running Windows 10

Edit: Well I just crashed part way through the Marjolaine fight...

No problem, I'm wondering do you use Nvidia or AMD hardware? I've always had this issue and I've always used Nvidia so I'm wondering if it's an issue related to that.

Edit: I don't suppose you might know why my Gamma setting does nothing? Regardless of if I change it in-game or in the DragonAge config file, the brightness doesn't change.
