What shows or movies do you think has the best foreshadow?
That subtle twist staring you in the face the entire time. When it finally comes to fruition you feel the need to immediately rewatch the whole thing to truly grasp just what the hell was actually going on the whole time.
I love good foreshadowing. I find it to be a great indicator of the technical prowess of the writers/director/etc. It's incredibly easy to screw up, but when it's done right it's true art. Such a complex system to try and manage, particularly when you're creating it. When you're in the middle of it it's hard to see how everyone else will view it from afar.
***
Some of my favourites:
Fallen (1998) With Denzel Washington and John Goodman.
Westworld (2016) Notably the first season.
Mr Robot (2015)
Disenchantment (2018) A surprising entry, this show is so visually complex it manages to sneak in some obvious clues in split-second shots. The humour is trademark Matt Groening so it's kind of more miss than hit for me but the foreshadow highlights the crew's vast experience.

Tenet did a decent job of this. Not amazing, but it makes the rewatch a different movie somewhat.

Once you get past its preachy disposition: Thank you to this guy: The duality twist -as unbelievable as it was at the end. Honorable mention: The Usual Suspects.

Cool topic, I love movies/shows that do this .
Most of the ones that come to mind first for me have already been mentioned. Westworld season 1 I found especially cool in that category. Here are four more that I really liked in that regard:
Memento - the Nolan bothers are indeed masters at this. It is way less subtle in this one as it was in Tenet as it is shown in a very quick cut but quite clear to see who gets shot a the end, but the reason why remained a complete mystery to me until the very end....after which it seemed immediately obvious, great stuff.
Fight Club - I knew the twist going in as I had read the book before, but it is pulled off beautifully here. I like this one as a good example of what you can do in movies with foreshadowing which is much harder to do in writing.
Arrival - similar to Fight Club in that regard for me. I knew the short story before, but the twist/foreshadowing here is only possible to do like that in film. So this one actually improves on an original Ted Chiang story by adapting it as a movie - quite the achievement.
Ex Machina - from the premise of it you almost had to expect something in the direction of where the ending went. But Alicia Vikander pulls it off so masterfully that you never think it would play out this way - on second viewing it seems inevitable.

I am going to break the rule a moment here and say that the Revan reveal in you know what left me stunned. A stunned state that I didn't actually realize till Bastila was talking after the cut-scene.
