Did we become too materialistic to dream of the future and be excited for space travel in the early 2010s?
It also seemed like in the 90s and 2000s people who watched fantasy shows and "Battlestar Galactica" were seen as "People who live in basements".
Why was the 90s-early 2010s more conformist?
