For some reason I think that would be a good time for such a show.
Perhaps it is because my first sci fi show, "The Expanse" was aired during Nov-Dec 2015.
And as a newly minted sci fi fan thanks to "Mass Effect" it felt like receiving a nice Christmas present.
We should be seeing promos for a far future space adventure that would be airing in Nov-Dec 2023.
Or would that be a bad time for TV since everyone is on vacation?
It wouldn't need to be Mass Effect. It would be a space opera with a lovable spaceship crew, political intrigue, exciting space battles, intergalactic mystery, and an action packed story set in a optimistic and exciting vision of humanity's future but is something new and refreshing rather than another rendition of the Star Trek universe.
Sci fi like fantasy is a genre full of possibilities enabled by creativity but it is far too easy to make something bland and uninspired.
"Halo" and "Foundation" felt bland to me.
Why can't TV show producers in Hollywood make something good with space travel in it that is not Star Wars or Star Trek?
