So for the last few years my mom has been after me to sell my Xbox 360 and I've always put it off. But this week, I found someone at work who wants to buy it off me. So I said I would make sure that everything was in working order before I sold it....and then I would bring it to work and make the exchange. So I go through all my stuff: The wireless controllers and the docking/charging station work just fine. Check and check. the 13 games I have....all of Instruction Manuals and none of the disks have ANY scratches or marks on them: Check. Things are looking good..... The fan system that is plugged into the back works perfectly: Check. All 4 extra battery packs work and are present. Check. All of the controller wires are in good shape: Check.........I run through a huge list and everything gets a green light.
So I plug the AC Adapter into the system and then the wall....and turn on my console. The ring flashes green and then goes silent. That's weird. Then I look at the LED Indicator on the Adapter and it is a solid red colour. That's not good. Not sure what that means, but it can't be good.....So I turn it over to see if there is a legend of warning light colours....and sure enough RED is the worst colour you can get: This unit is faulty and needs to be replaced.
Shite. So now I am in a predicament. I'm struggling to find a suitable/compatible replacement AC Adapter for my 60 GB 2009 model...and any one that I do is anywhere from 50 to 130 dollars. I only wanted 50 CAD for everything I have.....so unless my colleagues takes the games only and some of the accessories like the fan system and the docking station for less money....then I am going to have to trash everything and forget the whole thing.
SUCKS.
Edit for New Question: how do I know if my Xbox 360 games are compayible with Xbox One? Because I bought these games between 2009 and 2016, I think.
Games like: TFU I ii, Tomraider 1 and 2, Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Castlevania Lords of Shadow, Prince of Persia 2008, PoP The Forgotten Sands....
Will any of these 360 games work on an Xbox One?

You could have sold your work colleague the unit and it could have failed for them when they tried to turn it on, which could have lead to friction in the workplace Yes that is true. river. But my colleague and I have worked out a deal. They have an Xbox One at home (not sure if its basic One, series S or X) but I know that some 360 games I compatiable on the Xbox One (whatever model).....so I am going to give them all my games to take home over the weekend, sort through them....see which ones work and which ones they want to keep, and any ones that they don't want or that don't work they will give back to me next week. Then we can 'arrange a deal that will keep them Empire out of here forever....." if you take my meaning. Thanks for your encouraging post. However, if that were to happen.... I'd say "No problem, sorry for the trouble. Just bring it back and I'll give you your money back no questions asked, no hard feelings." But they do know how old the system is, so it's a toss-up as to if it even works or not. Luckily I tested it at home beforehand though. In this case, they are just willing to take the games and test them witht heir system....keeping the ones they want that work.

I baerl yused m yXB1 bu tI really enjo yusing my sreies X. Mostl yfor playin ggames like Fifa but still it's been being used a lot more than it's predecessor.

So... an interesting turn of events...the console that my colleague has and was goung to use for my 360 games was another 360. I bought mine in Spring 2009 for my birthday after being at my cousins a few weeks prior for Christmas 2008->09, and he had b9ught a 360 in 08.
My work colleague bought her 360 in Summer of 2006. Im thinking "they are BOTH 360s, they should play nicely together. Not like hers is an Original Xbxox...I know 360 games wont work on the OG Xbox. But they are both 360 models. Yet when she puts my games from 2009-11 (titles like Arkham Asylum and PoP 2008) she said she sees an ERROR message that says "the disk is incompatible"
Why would that be???
