Hi ! I made a post not too long ago on reddit, regarding questions I had on the mechanics of The Last Court If any of you has some knowledge on the topic, I'd love to hear it. The long and short of that reddit post is, I'm trying to figure out how the challenges for the various choices in The Last Court worked, to hopefully recreate that system (and even more hopefully, somewhat rebuild TLC further down the line, so people can experience it in some way). Here the link to the reddit post, and I'll copy what I posted there here under spoilers if I can figure it out https://www.reddit.com/r/dragonage/comments/18mbhah/questions_on_the_last_court_challenge_system_no/ Hi everyone ! I've been diving back into my favorite Dragon Age game (unironically), The Last Court. Not in game format of course, since it's been taken down, but going through the screenshots taken by the #SaveSerault effort (thank you so so much for that by the way ). At this time I'm trying to figure out how the challenge system worked exactly, I remember bits and pieces of it, and have been trying to figure out the intricacies of it for a bit now, but I'm uncertain on a few things, and would love opinions or knowledge for anyone else who might have had this kinda specific interest lol. I remember choices having a challenge type and rating, like : Here category is Cunning, and difficulty rating is "chancy" (with a stat score of 35+20)Here, category is Rulership, and difficulty is "very modest" (with a stat score of 42+20)
I remember the higher your stat in that category, the higher your chances of success, so my understanding of it all was : Stat score = % chances of success in that type of challenge But I was wondering if that's accurate, or if maybe some of the events and choices had a set % chances of success, to which your stat score was added (I don't remember gathering clues being overly difficult, for instance) Thank you for taking some time to drop by and read this ! I wish you all lovely holidays !
