What Qunari origin do you want to see in Dreadwolf?

Correction, Adaar was a true Vashoth, a person born outside of the Qun and raised separate from it. Actually, a deserter from the Antaam, who would be Tal-Vashoth might be interesting to play, if they allowed sufficient options for dialogue choices. Why did they defect? Do they still hold to the principles of the Qun? In fact, what if they deserted because the Antaam had acted in defiance of orders from Par Vollen? A rank and file soldier might not have been aware of this initially but when they realised the truth, perhaps they deserted not out of a rejection of the Qun but because they were faithful to the leaders on Par Vollen. So, they would be more Sten in outlook or Hisraad (Bull) when he was on Seheron. The only problem would be this couldn't apply to a female qunari as they are not usually found in the army but may be they were there as an auxiliary, for example providing medical care.

A mage would also be a problem as a devout Saarebas would not want to be without their handler but they could get around that by saying their handler was killed and they were separated from the Antaam, so now they are technically a Tal'Vashoth whether they wanted to be or not. They then have to come to terms with the fact of being free of any restraint for the first time in their life and how they deal with this.

The alternative to a Tal'Vashoth for me would be simply a Qunari slave as I have previously said that a slave background could fit any race or class.   In the case of a qunari, it would be relevant whether they were taken as a child, probably on Seheron, so not raised to adulthood in the Qun, or whether they were taken as a war captive as a adult.    I think the latter is unlikely because Tevinter would likely kill any Qunari prisoners of war rather than risk trying to use them but may be they might employ them in tasks involving hard labour, such as mining or quarrying, on behalf of the State rather than an individual owner.

Yeah, since we got Vashoth already, if we're sticking with only one origin per race, I'm going with Tal-Vashoth.

Otherwise, I'd also be cool with a Ben-Hassrath spy origin.

Saarebas. At least, its the most unique experience of all of these.

I'd rather a Saarebas that's either somehow still in the position (I don't know how, but that's where unique character writing comes in) or is going newly Tal-Vashoth and all that entails... than a Vashoth where the writers have an opportunity to write Quirky Millennial With a Staff.

I think a spy can wait until the next game. I instead want a followup on what 'Qunari magic' (so to speak) can uncover for us about the very nature of magic in Thedas. I'd like there to be a good retrospective reason why the true 'final boss' of Inquisition was a Qunari.

There’s no option for no qunari origin. Given that, I’ll say tal-vashoth makes the most sense.
