Can someone please tell me how I can get traps into my tools (the Z an X wheel down the bottom of the screen) so they show on PC, currently none are equipped but when I try and take any from my stash or inventory it says no room in your weapons pouch. I have removed items in there but they stay there and are red. I never use them but had a quest that wanted me to as an option and I just had to ignore that. When I hold the R key, the tools window pops up. From there you can use Z or X to cycle through tools and empty tool slots. Find an empty tool slot and assign a tool to it. You should be able to assign a trap if it's in your inventory.
However, I believe pouches have limited amount of slots, so if you filled all slots of a pouch, you will have to dump some stuff to the stash to free them. I was wondering why I can't carry the Large Health potions, but then at the stash saw that the 5 Potion pouch slots were filled already by other potions, so I had to remove some of them to the stash to free a slot and put a Large Potion.

Wow medieval times really were brutal. Aye. Once in the water, the wool absorb water quickly and the weight the wearer has to bear can be twice their own if they're wearing full length gowns etc so they'll be underwater in seconds if they're hampered. So the Quen having wool in their outfits is stupid unless it's not wool. However, since the setting is on Earth and not an alien planet, it's likely wool. If it's wool, heh, the devs failed to take note of what kind of fabrics are practical for various occupations. Well it' s written into the storytha ta lo tof thei r people perished on the way from crossing the Pacific. Guess we know why. So in thi sinstance it's not the devs failing that was the issue it was th eQuen being stupid.

Thanks, how did you see what was in the pouches? Had to open the stash window, then switch from there to the personal inventory.

So, first order of business was the relic ruin. Figured out how to move the train cars and get to the ornament, and also found a key to unlock a door, behind which was trapped guess who? He had fallen out of his boat and was looking for his 'friend' Olvar so Aloy agreed to help find him. Many tunnels, vents, Burrowers, and jumps later, she found Olvar - dead, killed by one of the Burrowers. She also returned Gildun's looking glass. Apparently after the disappointment of the Frozen Wilds, he managed to find one after all. She then gave him a focus so they could stay in touch.
Found a clue to one of the Pangaea figurines here: Found the figurine in an underground garage full of Stalkers. Yay. I have another clue to follow but haven't found the right location yet. Did not get a chance to look for any more aerial captures.
After this I made a blunder.....instead of finding a place to stop for the night, since it was getting close to bed time, I went back to Fleet's End to meet up with Seyka and pursue the next lead with her. Got all the way up to the holo thing with the asteroids looking for a door code when a neighborhood emergency caused me to have to quit without saving, so I have no idea how far back I will be when I start up again. Hopefully I won't have to do all the ballista climbing again. That wasn't difficult but it was tedious.

Yesterday headed to Plainsong and caught up with Yef, then headed to talk to The Chorus which of course did not go well but an alarm sounded and saved the day. Varl, Zo and Aloy then headed to the Cave of The Land Gods but had to fight there way there and then some Cauldron fun. Got through that OK and didn't have too much drama but it is amazing what a difference even going from Story to Easy is in terms of enemies. Gathered Gaia and set up base and got all the chit chat done. Then grabbed me a Sun Wing and let the adventures proceed. This in hindsight was probably a bad strategy. Anyway first off headed to Riverhymn to fulfil the promise to Nel. Dealt with the warriors and then the running and the climbing and the swimming and the climbing and THE Widemaws. Then back down to Kue and some more fighting but left with a new bow which first time through was a big deal. Not sure why all these weapon gifts could not have been given as Legendary in NG+ or at least be able to be upgraded to Legendary. So this is where the early Sun Wing became an issue as you have the whole wide map ahead of you. So started by heading to The Tallneck that is locked and when I tried to land on it just basically slid me off a barrier. So headed to the Tallneck in the Burning Blooms which is the one you have to pull down to fix, so did that. Fought lots of machines and as I had the quest to find the Delvers did that. Spoke to Porguf and the Delver woman and got the quests for the Tunnel and the Poor Girl" who had wandered off by herself into the desert. Did the tunnel quest and then decided later in the evening to do Silga's mission. I was tired and should have left well alone but anyway Sun Wing in tow I headed off. Lots of talking later Aloy headed off to do some triangulation, all went well till the second site in the gorge, where I could not for love nor money find the cave. Eventually I noticed that the quest objective still said kill all the machines and lo and behold there was one standing under a ledge playing hide and seem. Killed it moved on to the third site above the base. Killed machines and climbed to the top and what did sleepy DazK discover after much swearing and annoyance? Quest objective, kill the machines. SO glide down and sure enough there is one Sun Wing hiding that I had missed. Back up I go and then fly all the way back. Mission done and I still wish Aloy and Silga had hooked up at least for the night. Again got a weapon that would be great to upgrade to Legendary. So then captured some Drones and a Blackbox and just spent some time flying and un-fogging the map. Going to really try to stick to the main story but I am so easily distracted!!!!! Anyway started the quest to get Aether by arriving at Hekkaro's place. The Chorus and Aloy's reaction One Cauldron Down, going to try and knock all of them down quickly this PT. Gaia and the crew Sun Wing time Kue and Nel Tallneck and the map Several Physics glitches some that robbed me of loot The Sun Wing on the left just rose up from the ground after dying and sat there??? Porguf and Silga

I'll try to help, but the fact that I use a controller means that only the method, but not the inputs, translate. If I want to adjust my tool wheel, I highlight an item and HOLD DOWN on the D-pad. This brings up a menu. I can delete items, add items, rearrange them etc... It's possible, though, that your issue is capacity. Items get automatically added to the wheel. Unless you previously removed them, they should automatically be on there somewhere. They could be red because you are already carrying too many total traps. This can happen if you are using a particular favorite or two and found a few of another type. It can also happen if you were using an outfit or weave that buffs trap capacity and then switched to something else. I find myself regularly changing potions. I don't really use healing potions, since herbs are more then sufficient. I usually only carry one of the best healing potions. I also carry two of the best Stamina potions. The rest of my potions are devoted to Cleanse potions, to remove status effects. Of course, we constantly find healing potions and rarely find cleanse potions, so I have to do upkeep, sending things to my stash, etc... I could disable auto-adding items to the wheel, but I feel like that could cause more trouble than it's worth.

My problem was I had no traps in my tool wheel and did not know how to add them and when I tried it told me my pouch was at capacity but there were tool slots empty. Anyway I stopped caring as I never use them but needed them for an optional objective which is now in the rear view mirror. I did have some success interacting with the stash but it was more accident than me knowing what I was doing. Why is food not more readily available, that is what I want to add to my Tool wheel to stuff myself before big fights??? I don't want to have to fast travel to get the damn stuff, surely every settlement (except Plainsong) should have a Providore of Fine Foods.

Why is food not more readily available, that is what I want to add to my Tool wheel to stuff myself before big fights??? I don't want to have to fast travel to get the damn stuff, surely every settlement (except Plainsong) should have a Providore of Fine Foods. Each settlement has different meals for sale, too. I like the ones that buff the stuff I need, such as Stamina, Valor, and Ranged Damage. When you access your Stash, you can choose Inventory or Stash. (It shows your Stash by default.) You can "restock all Inventory" from your stash with a single button, which is often the extent of my interaction. I usually just need to restock on volatile sludge, blast paste, machine bone, etc... for crafting ammo. If you switch to your Inventory, though, you can send unwanted stuff (like healing potions) to your stash, freeing up room for other items. I think there are 12 different types of traps, for example. It's easy to have your maximum capacity occupied by some type you don't want. I forget with which items food is grouped. I usually try to put a meal on the tool wheel, but I generally forget to ever use them. Food is the one new feature that I never really worked into my routine. They're great buffs, so I really should make an effort next time.

Was able to finish the hologram puzzle - the save put me back just before starting it, so nothing lost really. Afterwards did some more exploring. Found another aerial capture, a couple more figurines, and a couple more delver trinkets. Eventually headed back to the main camp to meet up with Seyka and tackle the next leg. Funny, because I'd already wandered by that way and cleared out the Bileguts, so just had to deal with the buzz bees while trying to disable the shield generator. Well, well...Walter has quite an operation going on here. Tricking the plebes into worshipping him...typical egomaniacal move. Found what he was hiding and why it was dangerous, killed all the bad guys, and then left.
Aloy's auto dialogue about Seyka is annoying. I'm not sure why she is so overly distraught about hurting her (Seyka's) feelings when she's been leaving everyone else in the dust for months. All this, "oh, I have to make sure we're ok" BS is grating on my nerves. Next I will be heading back to camp and then we'll head for Walter's probably not-very-amusing amusement park.
I thought this was a nice touch - anyone else find it? It's either a graveyard, or a futuristic version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

So completed the Aether quest line, the end still annoys with how Regalla gets away. Did all the quests at the Bulwark, nothing like having a trusty Sun Wing parked out front though I did make myself do the climb to rescue Pentohh or whatever his name is and get his flower. That one infuriating jump where on PC you have to look back towards the path/ledge, hit CTRL and then Spacebar to Glide took me over ten attempts as Glide would just not engage. Reminded me of what's ahead in one of the Cauldrons where I failed that one jump 15+ times and the game took pity on me. Did a bit of map clearing and some Frost Claw killing on the way back. Then jumped back to the base, checked in with everybody and it seemed like things were a bit different doing Aether first. Then got hijacked into doing Elethia and brought a baby Beta home out of her gestation pod. More chatting, then headed out with a choice to do Zo's Land God quest or do some Rebel Outpost and Fort clearing, chose the latter. Pic's - took a lot yesterday???? Hail to The Chief The Bulwark Sky Armour Penntoh and the Glide down, so much for the Storm clearing Successful flight and glide on to The Sentinel Tallneck

So completed the Aether quest line I don't understand if you were going to play NG+ anyway why you wanted to use someone else's save file?
Currently rummaging around the Armory looking for a spare battery. I was right....this place pretty much is Jurassic Park - electronic style.

melbella, I didn't know that they'd added a memorial for Lance Reddick. I knew they would do something for him. He was a cool guy. He was a pup dad who spent his free time with his pack of dogs. He shared pics of them together regularly, including just before he died. I really enjoy all his work. Sylens will definitely be missed. 😥 I always spend a few moments at the memorial they made for Patrick Munnick, looking across the water toward San Francisco. I didn't know him, but it's clear that his colleagues really thought highly of him. I remember when he passed. He was so young.

So completed the Aether quest line I don't understand if you were going to play NG+ anyway why you wanted to use someone else's save file?
Currently rummaging around the Armory looking for a spare battery. I was right....this place pretty much is Jurassic Park - electronic style. Because it is complete, all missions completed except Burning SHores.

Finished the main quest in Burning Shores. Now trying to find the rest of the collectibles. I'm missing one dinosaur (and thus 1 trivia answer) and 3 of the delving trinkets. Got all the aerial captures. The list in the journal shows an unknown category of collectible with 3 slots. No idea what it might be since I've been everywhere. Well, I do still have the cauldron to do....maybe it's in there?
dazk Yeah, that final fight was a doozy! I don't see myself doing it on anything other than Story mode.
Pics!
Taking the fight to the sea Am I the only one who was reminded of the Archon's end here?
And no, did not go for the forced romance with Seyka.

Yeah it sure was a doozy, not looking forward to doing it again but it will be easier knowing what needs to be done. I gave in and took the heart response with Aloy, if there is only one choice I'd rather she didn't end up alone was my rationale. Yeah now you mention it that is a bit like the Archon death scene.

Yea hthat's the one thing I hin kI'll like about th esecon dplaythrough when I do it I'll kno wwhatt odo t oge tthrough it. It's more fo rme making suer I upgrade m ypouches a tleast and mayb emake a copy of al thos edoo rcodes. Especially given there are s omany doors wit hcodes yo uhave to unlock it gets ridiculous as I' mno tsuer I'll remember all the codes so wil likel ymakea cpo yof hem before I pla yagain. Yea hI gave in as well as it's tough seeing Aloy all alon ean dSeyka seems a like minded person an dshares a similar personality. Must admi tI was wondering who was he sassier Seyka o rAlo ygiven Seyka had a fwe sassy lines as well. I mean suer she's got friends no wand kin dof a sister in Beta. But still growing up an outcas tand that whole taking on th eEclipse and Hades on her own did take it's toll on her to the point where she was starting to snap at people who at least were trying to be nice to her. I think Var lan dErend knwe sh epreffered to play the lone wolf gam ebu talso knew this coul db etoo muc hfor her to handle alone. So ha dt ofind a way t oconvinc ehert oaccep tthei rhelp. Thankfull yin the end that initial fight with Eric was enough.

Seyka is just too much like her. Beta is the physical clone and Seyka is the attitude/circumstance clone. It'd be like romancing herself. I actually think after this game I am on the Team Erend bandwagon.
Finished up the last of Burning Shores content. First stop was the Cauldron - that was fun. First had to figure out how to get in without sinking into lava. Oops. Then got to drive some nifty drone carrier things. Then had to fight off scads of buzz bees and finally the big boss, an Apex giant fire-spitting frog.
I had to look up where to find the last 2 delver trinkets but managed to follow the clues to the treasure on my own. I forgot I already had the clue for the last dinosaur so looked that up too, then answered the last quiz question.
Finally headed back to Base to chat up Sylens one last time about the data recovered from Londra. Guess we have the plot of game 3 now, yeah? Then headed back to Hidden Ember to give Stemmur the final 2 ornaments. Left with this one running: Perfect for the Oseram! Speaking of....do we know where the Claim is located? We've visited the homelands of every other (local) tribe but not the Oseram.
After leaving the base, the rumor lady pointed Aloy to Arrowhand, said someone had been looking for her. Got directed to a big greenshine haul but of course it was guarded by machines. So, hijacked another Horus power cell to drop on them (my aim was poor and I had to fight several on the ground anyway). The greenshine was also guarded by a metal flower.
Next stop is the Arena....gonna try my luck there. I might give Machine Strike another try, now that I'm not trying to figure out how the rest of the game works. Not sure about the remaining 2 melee pits....they are just too much of a PITA. I also want to see if I can figure out how to use the Specter Gauntlet for that achievement (currently at 70/80). So, not quite ready for NG+ just yet.

Next stop is the Arena....gonna try my luck there. And you'll need it. Lots of luck, or maybe a drop in difficulty settings. I played everything else on hard, but ended up on easy get about halfway through the challenges (enough for the one weapon I wanted). Doesn't help that you have to pay for every attempt.

Doesn't help that you have to pay for every attempt. Well, that's rude. But, I am playing on Story mode so I'm not too worried about the difficulty. Unless....there's a timer.

Game world wise, the Quens were clueless despite having access to the focus. I'd say it's the best material around for the level of technology they have except that I don't recall seeing any sheep in the game. 🤣 I'd presume there are. Anyway, wool is the common fiber and people would use it for their clothes as it keeps them warm. However, it's a killer for the soldiers fighting wars because once they're trapped or forced to flee across / through any body of water, their fate is sealed. The common medieval soldier's clothes would consist of gambeson lined with wool or linen, their trousers made of wool. Add on fatigue from battle, wounds, it's the heavens for the unfortunate soldier whose flight path is to forge across a stream, etc. Historical records often mentioned soldiers slaughtered as they tried to escape across a body of water or struggling to get across to advance. Poor sods were bogged down by their clothes.
