I suddenly felt an irresistible urge to salvage my PI when browsing through my inventory the other day...Have already been running without it for a while and TBH I prefer not wearing it on most of my agents. My senses tell me I should hold on to it but I don't know how long I could suppress my true feelings

I don't need any more crescents...As Terrell has pointed out, I use The Ham more often than any other 1 handed weapon... Crescent is great, but somehow I'm just not that into it. I don't mean to show off anything...Just want to express my growing tiredness toward PI because it's so OP that it makes the game feel boring...There are no needs to pay attention to who or what is coming and Crowd-Control support from teammates is less appreciated. The reason keeping me from completely ditching it is Avvar...He's the only agent I find who benefits a lot from PI...the others are totally fine without it. Okay, now you're just showing off startled husky. Never getting tired of startled husky. Never.

I have not given up using it myself, except for a few special classes/cases (though I have thought about it), but I agree that the PI amulet makes the game less tactically interesting and that it would really be better if it had not been added. When you add something to a game that changes its mechanics in a fundamental way, it is really hard to balance it properly. The one thing it does do that can make the game more interesting (as opposed to simply easier) is make it feasible to try out some non-Combat Roll builds in classes that would otherwise almost require that ability.

I think the problem is not with the high-end items, that took me about 8 months of tons of gaming to get. The problem is there aren't enough OTHER high-end items.
If you had to choose to wear one of the following, it would be much more interesting:
1) Physical Immunity Amulet 2) Speed Amulet (+20% movement speed, +20% attack animation) 3) Super-Superb/Master Stamina Amulet ( 100 Stamina, increased stamina regen )
And then toss in some of the Diablo 3 type pieces or set pieces or class-specific amulets (like 30% reduced cooldown on firestorm) and I think it would be more interesting and we would see a more varied gameplay.
Same with all the high-end items really.
At least the pact belts brought negatives with them, as does the Bosun blade. Those were items made correctly.

I totally agree. If you have all (most) of the high end gear, there is (with very few exceptions) only one way to equip your agents if you want to be top geared. Best examples are the Hakkon Weapons, ofc you can use other weapons and still be strong and useful but it is (feels) always like a downgrade. When the level 27 weapons came (before I knew any details about them) I though "oh great, looking forward for new toys ", but the sad truth looks like this: We got 3 1-handed swords which are totally useless, maybe for fun on perilous and below but you can't use them on NM/HB. We got a 2-Handed Axe which is good (sometimes fun) to use but still worse than Hakkon and more good for getting a headache). We got a staff which ... oh wait no level 27 staff was added, never mind. We got a dagger that looked great at first view and can be but it is only usable by the assassin or alchemist. We got a very nice Bow (I really like to use it when I play perilous sometimes) but because of the elemental damage you can be fu..ed in NM/HB. And a shield that has a nice design but no one is using it because the 30secs are to much and it does not offer anything else except for a bit more front defense. Oh and there is The Crescent's Shadow. Pretty much an offensive version Hakkon's Honor with a bit more base damage.

I always wonder why.

Pretty much agree with this, you want to increase the interesting decisions players have to make, not decrease them. The latter is what the PI does, both because it is so clearly better in most cases than anything else you could equip in that slot, and because it allows you to employ simpler and less interesting tactics if you are wearing it.

I agree with the above and also wish there was a use for the mountain of crafting materials and oceans of potions you accumulate.

The one thing it does do that can make the game more interesting (as opposed to simply easier) is make it feasible to try out some non-Combat Roll builds in classes that would otherwise almost require that ability. Indeed. Like now I have to save a skill slot for combat roll on Reaver and Katari. For 2-handed warriors a non-combat-roll & non-PI build could still be enjoyable only on conditions that you have good support from teammates. I guess limited options in builds is the price I need to pay for having fun rolling around. I think the problem is not with the high-end items, that took me about 8 months of tons of gaming to get. The problem is there aren't enough OTHER high-end items. If you had to choose to wear one of the following, it would be much more interesting: 1) Physical Immunity Amulet 2) Speed Amulet (+20% movement speed, +20% attack animation) 3) Super-Superb/Master Stamina Amulet ( 100 Stamina, increased stamina regen ) And then toss in some of the Diablo 3 type pieces or set pieces or class-specific amulets (like 30% reduced cooldown on firestorm) and I think it would be more interesting and we would see a more varied gameplay. Best examples are the Hakkon Weapons, ofc you can use other weapons and still be strong and useful but it is (feels) always like a downgrade. I think the problem of PI resides mostly within itself, which is breaking one(if not more) aspect of the basis of the game's combat mechanics and subsequently rendering cross-class collaboration less necessary. But I agree that more options in top-tier gears would probably solve the problem, or at least would make it much less prevalent than now... I didn't play Diablo 3 for long yet I do like their loot system. I wish DAIMP had done something similar like that. The ideal scenario is to have a pool of high-end items to choose from, but no absolutely best weapon/gears for each class. What would be the best all depends on what kind of build you use/how you play the class. Just imagine if the damage of Tezpadam's bane were on par with hakkon bow, there would be a lot more archers/hunters running around with Full Draw in NM and above. Or a high base damage staff with the ability that the more different elemental damages you cycle through within a certain time, the more attack bonus you get. I believe we would see fewer virtuosos spamming power cord if such thing existed. In higher difficulties everyone using hakkon really starts to get old, but it' not like that we have better choices other than them. I agree with the above and also wish there was a use for the mountain of crafting materials and oceans of potions you accumulate. I would like a potion mixing system to make use of all my redundant tonics. Something that you could mix, say 3 potions, into one which is more powerful than the original(doesn't need to exactly triple the effect though) and also with some randomly generated bonus
