they made a 9mm gatling gun!
You'd need to reload to use the thing regularly, but I mean...c'mon! I'd totally be reloading if I could own it.

Today I went to the range, among other things I wanted to check zero of my 45-70 lever action, standing at 50 meters. That escalated quickly though, instead of the planned 5 shots I did 45. Also the rounds I loaded to silly power level, that banged so loud that people gathered around me, I bet even my ancestors could hear me blasting away today. Got some goodies in the mail today, a Smith and Wesson 4.7 inch knife w/ sheath, two safariland 5 round speedloaders (which i loaded with .38spc +p) rounds and knife sharpener. I have the same blade! Its actually really good and nigh impossible to beat for that price.

These Bonds Arms Derringers look pretty fun, and there's a variety of chamberings that you can get for them (that you can swap) , from .357/.38spc, .410/.45 Colt, .45ACP, 9mm,etc.
In .410/.45 colt (what i'd get if i were to get one) i reckon they slightly outperform the Taurus Judge/S&W Governor in terms of velocity due to no cylinder gap.

I was talking about getting a cap and ball revolver - a friend of mine just offered me this sweet .36 Colt Navy brass frame for 200 bucks and its in excellent shape. I might buy it.

Here's a nice larger sized .380 pistol for new shooters and those with weak hand strength. Due to it's increased barrel length over pocket .380s like my LCP2 (3.675 vs 2.75 respectively), it should be even easier to find JHPs that expand reliably.

Wow, thats beautiful. I'd say you should totally get it. Just know its not going to be as sturdy as the non-copper plated one.

Yeah I read about the weaker brass frames, I had not expected the brass frames to be significantly weaker than the steel ones, but apparently they are. That's why I'll go with a steel frame one. The brass frame is very pretty but I don't want to constantly worry about frame stretching and keeping my loads mild.

Well, just placed my order. The 1860 Colt Army in .44 is what I'm going to get. Favorite sidearm of many gunslingers, also the main arm of the civil war officers. Power wise, its about the power of a modern .44 special. What I also find really attractive about this gun is that its a multi-shot gun that works with crude blackpowder, lead balls you can cast with a simple mold and caps which are not hard to make yourself. It might be a viable option in a scenario where cartridge firearms get banned, which isn't an unlikely a scenario, sadly.

4 Gauge shotgun, when 12 or 10 gauge isn't enough.
Oh and Ian recently did an interview with the gal about her work at the Cody firearms museum.

LMAO theres always the odd few special fellows.... actually we had a couple who were always easy to convince to do really dumb stuff always useful when you dont want to do something get the idiot duo to screw up and then relax and watch the fireworks for half an hour … you might get lucky and have to run round the training area a few times but extra phys was always preferable to endless drills.....

My Taurus M65 .357 has a new little brother, the S&W 638 w/ Crimson Trace laser grips in .38spc +p. Which, you can see here with Remington Golden Saber .357 and .38spc +p carry ammo. They both have a similar sight picture and I painted the front sights of both with the same nail polish color. Also, you can see how the 638 has a shrouded hammer vs the exposed hammer of the M65. Closeup of the laser and the button on the grip that activates it (there's a master power switch at the bottom of the grip) Laser in the dark. Fun fact, the 638 is Claire Redfield's default handgun in REmake 2.

Wow, lavo. They're beutiful. Isn't it true that a .357 can fire .38 sp? Yeah, it's one way interchangeable that way due to the same bullet diamater (.38spc is really .357 not .38). The other way isn't possible due to .357 mag being 2mm longer, not to mention it'd severely damage a .38spc gun. Edit: It's similar to how my .44 Mag can fire .44spc rounds as well.

There's also the M6 survival rifle, which was the predecessor to that AR-7/Henry rifle, which was chambered in .22 Hornet (modern repros have it in .22LR instead) and .410 bore.

I reckon it's due compactness and it's meant to kill things like rabbits and other small critters.

Yea, but a single shot rifle seems kinda...useless to me. At least chambered in .22. But having a few extra shots could make all the difference.

These survival rifles are for just that, surviving (ie. hunting for subsistence) and to be compact to keep on a plane. A downed pilot isn't supposed to be charging at enemy patrols or positions with it (he'd be screwed even with a full sized AR).

Ammo is tiny and weighs nothing and can be found all around the world.
