I wonder how much more controllable such a pistol would be in 20 or 28 gauge? I guess in that chambering it would be like a strong .44mag, though there are some wicked slug loads in 20 that would probably be like shooting a .454 Casull. I would opt for a 16 Gauge, that's like 85% of a 12 Gauge with 70% of the recoil.

Man I love my Glock 17, shot it and damn its so easy to shoot fast and accurately. I like to tune guns but I don't want to touch the G17 because it works perfectly the way it is. That's 14 rapid shots at 25 meters/yards. (Black patches to cover the shots from the previous shooter, its a recycled target)

Thought of getting a compensator to make it more perfect? Actually, no. Its a tilting barrel design, adding mass to or removing mass from the barrel can mess with the critical timing of the gun and can actually make it LESS reliable. I don't want to mess with that. Also, I cannot use a proper holster if I put something onto the barrel. Besides, its has nigh zero recoil or jump in my weightlifter hands anyway, its like locked in a vice and the slide just moves back and forth.

Looks like an improvised way of adding night sights to your pistol is by using glow in the dark nail polish.
I don't really need such on my .38 snub given the laser sight, but for my .357 I might consider it.

Nice double stack medium frame .380. Looks like a nice lower recoil alternative to medium framed 9x19s like the G19.
My uncle has a Bersa .380 but i believe it's the single stack one.

But yeah, I thought it was a bit wimpy too. When I was young we used .458s ...And you got point reductions if you crawled around like a maggot on the ground afterwards. (Nah, just kiddin'. I did a lot of crazy things but I wouldn't do that.)

I always wanted a .32ACP handgun and if I could have one, this would be it. It's double stack with 12 round mags.
Combine it with this ammo, and you have quite the self-defense pistol.
Edit: Here's a bonus vid on how to field strip it.

Hah, real men put the muzzle of the rifle on their balls while firing it. Buttstock is for whimps. only with spud bb or paintball guns.... although I was shot in the ass by some idiot who tripped getting out of a helo whilst fucking with the safety catch whilst we were in the province nearly 20 years ago (just a minor flesh wound for me, 6 months in the slammer for him) still it got me out of theatre 12 hours before I would have been due a medal and a 2 week holiday with my wife so I was actually kinda happy about that (bastards gave me an LSGC a month before I got out to go with some other commemorative freebie from back when I first joined up) I managed to avoid any actual medals even to the point of bribing clerks to fix the records, pretty sure my various co's knew but they just didnt seem to care (who wants shit all over their uniform) aside from one of them who got a proper upset that I had my name redacted from several memo's (after the awards were originally issued) and failed to show up for a parade by being on duty somewhere else (oh what a pity) really amazed I never got court martialled but I guess I just got lucky a lot...

Loaded some dinosaur stomper 45-70's with my new N130 powder. Bullets are 510 grainers loaded to 1470 fp/s. Also, as comparison one of the smallest of the .45 caliber family, the .45 ACP.

Speaking of .45s, i'm curious as to non-cowboy loads of .45 colt compare to .45 acp. It does have a longer case than the latter after all...

Speaking of .45s, i'm curious as to non-cowboy loads of .45 colt compare to .45 acp. It does have a longer case than the latter after all... It has a much larger case, but it originated as a black powder cartridge. If you keep to the original and nominal .45 LC ballistics, it's about the same as .45 ACP. That is what the .45 ACP aimed for after all. But then you can enter 'hand loads' territory. If your gun has a strong enough chamber. So for brave like .44 Magnum, but perhaps better suited for heavy, slow bullets. Though not terribly necessary, at some point you will start to want somewhat stronger brass and bigger primer. Ever heard about .454 Casull? It basically repeats the act that .357 Magnum did on .38 Special for .45LC. Personally I've never messed with stuff like that, but I've tried and fired nutty friends' guns that have almost broken my hand.

Speaking of .45s, i'm curious as to non-cowboy loads of .45 colt compare to .45 acp. It does have a longer case than the latter after all... You can match .44mag power with good 45 colt brass, and thanks to the more versatile bullet diameter you can even go with heavier bullets, compared to .44 mag that is pretty much stuck at max. 300-320 or so grains. Then again, most firearms chambered in the 45 colt are replicas of firearms of the cowboy era, while you absolutely CAN shoot hotrodded loads through most of them (not the 1860/66 and 73 actions!) they are not all that well suited for this kind of thing. Great thing with the .45 colt is, it works very well with blackpowder. I think its always good to have a gun that works with good old black powder just in case....something happens and nitro powder is no longer available. Its not possible to make even crude nitro powder, for modern powder you need a huge facility, but back powder is relatively easily made. But now you may think that the big magnum revolvers with their large capacity cases would be even better suited for blackpowder? WRONG! Their brass is very thick for the high pressures created by smokeless magnum loads, the brass will seal poorly when loaded with low pressure blackpowder. 45 colt, 44-40 and 45-70 are original blackpowder cartridges, their brass is thin enough for good sealing and they will work very well without clogging up the gun with blow-by.

It has a longer barrel length than the the .32 used in the cavitator vid above, so that means even more .32ACP whoopass! Will get it within the next month or so.
