We know nothing but the fact that there will be some dark secret in this family and the mom is strangely absent from any of the known information, and the father seems... maybe a bit evil.
Revelations I think will entail:
- The mother was killed in the first contact war and the father is secretly seeking revenge by wanting to dominate species they make first contact with in Andromeda because it's driven him mad.
- There's an unknown tripling and Bro and Sis aren't in fact twins!
- The mom is a man and the Ryder siblings are twins from a surrogate mom.
What would be most interesting or cool or edgy?

When you romance an alien Alec disapproves of his potential son/daughter-in-law. I think if the characters survive they should make a lighthearted post-game DLC where you have a family dinner with your romance partner on the Hyperion or one of the Habitat colonies and it's Meet The Fockers style.

Thta's all I got lol Or Jian is the mother of the kids and married to Alex at one point before getting a divorce. That's one of many possiblities. Maybe Bioware won't reveal anything about mom because it would reveal a big spoiler that Bioware would rather the fans discover when playing the game. |

- The Ryder siblings have the G-virus
- Ryder's family is descended from a line of humans that were experimented on by Prothean Scientists.
- That there is no secret, and that halo head (or whoever voiced that line at the end of the N7 trailer) just didn't know how to best compliment Ryder.

First, Miranda and Oriana weren't completely identical personality-wise, if I recall. Being an exact clone doesn't mean the two will be completely the same. Experiences in life change us. Second, they did say Sara and Scott will be different in some way, and not carbon copy of each other. I expect to see the differences when you don't play as them. |

If it's not the fact that they can change their abilities at the flip of a switch... (Hiding in plain sight and all)...
They have some impossible connection to Andromeda.
They are somehow "linked" specially and it affects them in some way when something happens to one.
Some other type of genetic modification/mutation that gives them special powers that doesn't tie into changing their abilities.
The twins are clones of the mother who died before they decided to have kids, and Alec dropped a fortune to have them as a way to remember the mom.
Just some stream of thought ideas.
