According to themikefest newspaper, DA games will be developed for the next 30 years. At that point, the hero of Fereldon might make an appearance. With good peace for The HoF's cultists.

only 5?! Unacceptable. In fact they should be releasing one every year, like AC. Ah, AC fans are so lucky... The AC IP is a good series,it's impressive how they manage to produce a game every year(more or less)with that kind of quality. Ι beg to disagree. every ac game has the same ubisoft formula. they all play the same with minimal or no big differences. The same cannot be said wih any bioware game: Check how different me1 and me2 played. me3 introduces way less static combat. Same for da games. DaO to da2 felt way different and daI was enirely different than how da2 felt. Salty trigger mode ON Ubisoft is really the worst dev/publisher. EA gets the flak but EA has way better frachises . It s not by chance that over the vast amount of gamesi ve playe dthe last years ubisoft games are only a couple. Their formula of , capture tower , open fog on map, take useless talent with xp, somewhat beautiful worlds but with autoplayed attack/instakill animations that last 5 seconds is disgusting. Also the insult to injury is their ATTROCIOUS INTRUSSIVE hud in all games. Take for honor for example. The HUD is stroblgy reminiscent of ac/farcry games. Who told them that bliding white is the color to go for HUDS? who told them that the WHITE highlighting of enemies looks good and compliments gameplay? Salty triggered mode OFF

Like others have mentioned, I've heard something about there being a 5 game plan as well. Perhaps now it's 6, since Inquisition is supposedly the first half of a story. No way should they be releasing a game a year. Imagine the drop in quality *shudder*
And speaking of AC, the last game I played was AC3. Doesn't seem like I've missed much since then. The series had real spark "back in the day". Shame it seems to have been ruined.

First AC was OK, second was beloved, third was middling, fourth had great reviews, fifth and sixth were mediocre. And that's not getting into the spinoffs and the sub-games released between two and three.
To be honest, I've never really seen the appeal of the series. I know Dragon Age is somewhat inconsistent in quality, but I've never disliked a DA game yet.

I could see this current arc wrapping up in a couple more games, leaving room for... Nug Age or something. The franchise seems to be doing really well and there are endless storytelling possibilities, especially if there's a timeskip (or a prequel. Looking at you, Fourth Blight. And Andraste. And Arlathan. And whatever drove the qunari from their homeland. SO MANY COOL THINGS). We could surge a few centuries into the future, a la ATLA/LoK.
They've put out comics, novels, a tabletop game, there's been a webseries with Felicia Day and an anime movie. I actually hope they continue to explore the world of Thedas through other mediums. I'd watch a made-for-Netflix show if they had the money and inclination.
But I'm keeping my fingers crossed for at least two more full-length games.

The could make prequels. We could see games set during the Blessed Age or something.
