Technically yesterday, I was going to type it up this morning but a dumb ass drove into a power pole and knocked out the power in my neighborhood for close to 12 hours. I mean I get being drunk enough at 7 Am that your coordination is shot enough to do it, I just don't get why someone actually drives when drunk.
anyway. I decided since Aria has been asking so nicely it was time to help her deal with Cerberus. She wanted me to go alone with her, she didn;t trust the rest of my crew. I'm not sure why she trusts me, but apparently I'm it. Her plan was pretty damn solid for getting onto her station, but cerbersus really upgraded the defenses so we barley made it. Still makes it a more valuable base, not that it would stop a reaper. After landing we had to fight our way through to the defense hub and shut it down so her armada wouldn't be destroyed and they could join us. Wasn't that hard though we did bump into a weird barrier and soe new mechs. kind of like loki mechs but a lot faster and they could generate a powerful shield while stationary that would block almost anything. Still easy enough to deal with. After that we cleared some goons and got her secret bases defenses online. Once set up in the base we headed toward the reactor to shut down the defense grid. Arias old girlfriend was the leader of the local resistance and came along. We bumped into what cerberus was doing turning people into weird monstrosities some of which got loose. Kind of creepy looking, but they die just the same. After the shields were down the populace joined in and we headed to take Cerberus's general running the show here. Aria fell for a fairly obvious trap and I had to free her. It went really easy(a lot easier than I remember from previous games, don;t know what the hell I was doing last time) Al i had to do is run a circle around the perimeter git a button and then shoot a battery or something, 4 batteries in all. Once cerberus sniper got in the way so I shot her a few times in the face with my shotgun, didn't even waste my biotics on her. Those abominations were in the field but as long as I kept moving they never caught up. Once Aria was fee I just had to help her clear the room a bit and then we took the general. He surrendered and assumed i'd take him into custody. aria had different plans, and given the crazy evil mad science stuff he was doing I wasn't going to argue with her, though getting information out of him would have been useful.
Hung out with Garus a bit showed him how to shoot, saw a few other friends who wanted to catch up. Not sure this is the best time, but morale is important.
After that I headed out to the Far rim and helped some quarians. Landed on their homeworld, saved a general, shut down a fighter base control center where legion decided to show me his version of history. I acted surprised that the Geth let the quarians flee, but after murdering billions I'm not exactly going to give you brownie points for sparing a few million. And he still wants the reaper code, I mean has that ever worked in the long run. How much longer until we have to put Edi down because she is indoctrinated. With all these reaper artifacts we are studying for the war effort that is a lot of scientists we are probably going to have to kill once the war is over, not to mention the guards, cleaning crew etc.

Today I found out I have a clone. The Citadel Archives are amazing and my squad has a sense of humor! If only I didnt have to come to work I'd be able to stop my clone!

Busy day, I freed Ranoch from the geth threat, after that went back to the citadel to drop off some artifacts I found. When I returned to my ship Wrex ambushed me, knowing how I sabotaged the genophage, i had to kill Wrex. I needed some downtime after that. Crashed at my new apartment and then went to grab a bite with Joker. But, it was an ambush and I had to kill my way through a ton of mercs. They had really strong shields though, it kind of felt cheat mode though as I had stasis. Found out the perosn behind it was my clone, after killing my way past more mercs, had a pretty tough battle agianst myself.Man I'm fast and can dodge a lot, I should try that sometime but I think this guy has much better shields than me. After defeating him I offered to save him, he seemed really sad like a puppy but he didn't want saving and fell to his death. His side kick tried to escape so I shot her in the back. Afterwards had a pretty rowdy party.
With clues on how to track down Kai Lame we followed him to Cerberus main base. We recovered the prothean VI and found out the citadel is the catalyst, also the repaers thanks to the illusive man seized it and were heading to earth. Kai Lame showed up and tried to talk smack but he died pretty easy.
Took a interlude to MP, to pad my score a bit, I don;t think I needed it but just in case.
Which meant it was time to save the Galaxy I guess. We headed to earth and fought our way through London. Made out way to some transportation beam onto the citadel, I guess they were using it to harvest humanity as once I got on board i just saw piles of corpses. Barely made it on board, got too close to a reaper beam and it nearly killed me. Anderson got on board after me. The illusive man had some kind of mind control power from the reapers, and he forced me to shoot Anderson, don;t think he is going to make it. I fought it off long enough to kill the illusive man, and activated the catalyst. Nothing happened and I headed up a lift o a secret area when I spoke with the catalyst and he gave me three options. I picked red!
Happy endings all around except for the Krogan, they seemed to have a rachni problem.

Now that I’ve finally finished Andromeda, I was able to get back to my ME1 playthrough – Roy Shepard, Vanguard, Earthborn / War Hero. We left off on the Citadel, trying to prove Saren’s guilt to the Council. I recruited Wrex and Garrus, who both pointed us in the direction of the local crimelord Fist, owner of Chora’s den. Ashley, Kaidan and I went to the club, and found that the strippers had been replaced by armed goons. (For the first time in umpteen playthroughs, Fist was killed by Shepard - in the past I’ve always either let him go or Wrex kills him). Fist gave the location of a meeting between and quarian and Saren's goons before he died. We helped the quarian, Tali, and she agreed to give the Ambassador evidence against Saren. The Council made me a Spectre and tasked me with bringing Saren to justice. Udina and Anderson provided a few leads; I decided that finding Dr T’Soni, daughter of Benezia, was the priority, given her knowledge of protheans and the fact that Saren was after her too. Went to Therum with Ashley and Kaidan, found Liara investigating some Prothean ruins, and got her out of there before Saren’s forces could capture her. Pics The feeling's mutual big guy: You don’t get to make demands of the Council, Ambassador: Epic music intensifies: Nerd rage: Eavesdropping on crazy conspiracy theorists at Flux: C-Sec – keeping the galaxy safe from Hanar that preach outside of “free speech zones”: “I’m Commander Shepard and this is my favourite ship in the fleet”: Doctor Livingstone T’Soni, I presume?: Not so tough now, are you Mr Krogan Battlemaster?:

Ok. Tali is exiled, I'm doing the Geth Dreadnought mission, Legion is alive. I destroyed the Heretics in ME2. Oh and I betrayed Wrex and sabotaged the genophage cure, so you people know what I'll have to do after finishing the quarians x geth quarrel. Problem is: who should I pick, the quarians or the geth?

Desire to sort out how many things exactly ME: Foundation 3 gets wrong was the final thing that made me start an ME1 replay. First thing to do was to correct one thing that started itching me in my usual Shepard's face. In the end, I spent half an hour moving eyes, nose, mouth and cheeks in every direction until everything looked natural. Then I clicked "Cycle presets" by accident, which reset the sliders. So I spent another half an hour recreating what I had before. I jumped into the game and it looked good, somewhat different but good, I even made a screenshot.
Which caused the Windows emulator to crash. I had no save and again I spent half an hour tweaking Shepard's face. I think it's finally good now, more sharp than before but I believe I'll be liking it more in the end.

taking a break from playing Dragon Age constantly (also because I just can't seem to get my world state the way I want ) so going to start a new Mass Effect 1 playthrough, aka. remaking my Saphira and maybe going to play through the entire trilogy for a change...if I can get some of the mods for ME2 and 3 to work that is but I'll worry about that once I've finished 1

Did a little more ME1 with Roy Shepard (Vanguard, Earthborn / War Hero): Got to know the crew a little better: - Tali’s having trouble sleeping, because the ship is too quiet; - Garrus is Garrus, complaining about rules, C-Sec, rules, father, rules, etc; - Ashley has concerns about ship security with all the non-Alliance aliens aboard; - While working as a merc, Wrex was once hired by Saren – had a “bad feeling” about him; - Liara doesn’t understand why Benezia has allied herself with Saren; - Kaidan has concerns about the Council’s motives, and talked about his experience with the BAaT program. Went to Edolus in the Artemis Tau cluster, the last reported location of Admiral Kahoku’s missing squad of marines. Discovered they’d been lured into a thresher maw nest by a phony distress beacon. Pic: Mako!!!!!

This was some old, unfinished ME3 run. I decided I wanted to see how Adept played out in ME3 and it was the only one I had. I tweaked the settings with Gibbed. Keep in mind that I never recruited Kasumi, Zaeed or Samara. Even so, that wall is pretty full. Miranda actually showed up in my slides at the end. Her smile there made me so sad. Hard to believe I once hated her. For clarity's sake, only Garrus, Tali and Jack survived the SM. MEHEM ftw!

I replayed the whole trilogy. With all the dlc. All in one breath. What an experience, what a masterpiece. Shepard is an incredible protagonist, the LORE is probably the best sci-fi lore ever, the companions are almost all interesting and well written (garrus-wrex-mordin-miranda-legion are the best IMO). DLCs - especially in ME3 - add a lot to the experience. Mass effect 1 is the most brilliant of the three, truly a bold game, putting the foundations for an almost perfect universe. The initial phase is a bit slow but the final fast-pace showdown (virmire-ilos-citadel) is beautiful. Mass effect 2 fun, maybe the most exciting (suicide mission is imo the peak of the trilogy), and that in my opinion the one with the most refined and varied gameplay. As for Mass effect 3... I continue to re-evaluate it. Truly a good game, perhaps with some more plot/side mission it would have been perfect, but the sensation of inevitable tragedy that he transmits is extraordinary. Even the final is satisfactory. The catalyst-strarchild is aesthetically repugnant, but if you approach the end without prejudices, it says sensible things, though not very detailed (the reapers goal make sense. The crucible changing the variable make sense. The need for a new solution makes sense)
Amazing.
Hope to see again the milky way

Watched Thessia fall. Discovered the secret lab on Sanctuary.
Went to visit Garrus on the Normandy. He said, "So now we're getting salarian help. I'd love to know how you pulled that off." Shepard: "I sabotaged the cure so it wouldn't work." Garrus (looking at map of Palaven): "A few years ago I'd have said the price was too high. Now, though, I'm not so sure." [Pause] Garrus: "Did Mordin go along with it?" Shepard: (silent) Garrus: "Damn war."
(yeah, Shep killed Mordin in this playthrough)

Presently doing a ME2 run which would lead into ME3. I have the MEHEM mod installed and am thinking of the Extended Galaxy mod. Would there be a conflict between the mods? I read that EG is made to sync with the other mods but I want to be sure.

Presently doing a ME2 run which would lead into ME3. I have the MEHEM mod installed and am thinking of the Extended Galaxy mod. Would there be a conflict between the mods? I read that EG is made to sync with the other mods but I want to be sure.
They are compatible. (And EGM is definitely worth a try!) From the EGM modpage:

Presently doing a ME2 run which would lead into ME3. I have the MEHEM mod installed and am thinking of the Extended Galaxy mod. Would there be a conflict between the mods? I read that EG is made to sync with the other mods but I want to be sure. Am currently completing a playthrough with: - Expanded Galaxy MOD (EGM) - Project Variety (not as well known as EGM, but definitely recommend this) www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/691- Bonus Power Packs (adds multiplayer skills to single-player) - Tali Remastered - Ken & Gaby recruitment No issues so far. There is very extensive documentation on EGM's Nexus page about what mods are compatible (MEHEM is on the list). Just follow their instructions. Have to say I am enjoying ME3 a lot more with the mods. Also makes me a bit sad to be able to see (instead of just imagine) what Mass Effect 3 could have been.
