Defeated the Reapers. I was all set to pick Green for a change. Then I got the bloody (romanced) Tali scene on the beam run, and I thought, "F*ck it. I'm picking Destroy again."

Hmm, I encountered a problem I never encountered before for LotSB. I can't return to the Normandy after talking to Liara. I tried looking up the fixes; adding a command line but it doesn't work. Any one has any idea?
By the by, I made a drinking date to Liara so Shep doesn't say let's go to the Normandy.
P.S. Looks like I have to replay the Illium bit; Drakon Towers. I tried every solution I could find. I also found that I cannot use biotic powers for the Azure section. Three times the fourth vehicle never turned up to crash into the door. My guess is some of the mobs biotically bounced out of the tower didn't die or the game failed to register that they died. I have to return to plain shooting to remove all the mobs. Too, I cannot kill Vesir my fav way. Even though she was bounced up into the air and fell to the depths, the death was not registered. I didn't have these problems years ago. I guess Win 10 is a glitchy OS. It also looks like I have to immediately invite Liara to the Normandy so as to teleport me out of the glitch.

Though starting ME2 via a desktop-shortcut and added ' -nomoviestartup' (sans apostrophes) command does 'fix' the crash when trying to leave the broker's ship for me.

I redid the SB fight and then after, invite Liara to the Normandy. Problem solved. The command line didn't work for me, I tried it.

Finished ME1 again,I guess I edged a bit more renegade than intended as they pushed for a all human council over my objections. Started up ME2, died kind of sucked, 2 years later I'm back thanks to this guy. Kind of liked the cut of his jib. Not so much into the human supremacy thing but hey at least he gets shit done. Said hello to Vetor.
Met a friend that got me killed, but hey he;s a friend you forgive friends.
And got me ship.

I finally got around (about a month later) to importing Brandi Shepard into Mass Effect 3. I switched her from Sentinel back into a Vanguard. I thought I had reset her talent points in ME2 -- or maybe I forgot how class switching between ME2 and ME3 worked -- but she already started off with one point each in Incendiary Ammo and Biotic Charge, two powers I was not planning on using. Oh well, I will respec her later.
Anyway, the Reapers attacked Earth and she escaped in the Normandy to go to the Citadel when Admiral Hackett called her and ordered her to go to Mars. On Mars, she witnessed Cerberus killing Alliance personnel before she ran into Liara. Several Cerberus troopers and a crazy she-robot later, Brandi got some Prothean data and an injured Kaiden.
Then it was off to the Citadel to drop Kaiden off at a hospital, see the Council (who did not want to help), pick up Doctor Chakwas, and invite a reporter onto the Normandy. Then it was back to the Normandy for a bad dream, talking to the crew, dumping Liara (YOU NEVER A COUPLE YOU BLUE MORON!), and sparring with James. Both James and Brandi now have bruises.
And then finally, Brandi scanned the galaxy for credits and resources before getting ready to head out on her first mission to go pick up someone called a Turian Primarch. Should be fun.
I died a few times early on Mars (and once on Vancouver) since I was really rusty. I eventually got the hang of it again. I did waste one medi-gel getting a squadmate back up when I probably did not need to do that.

Finished off my femshep me2 game after an eternity. Still adore it as a game. Fantastic characters and great story. Now have to work up the stomach for the very mixed bag that is me3.

Finally finished off Kaylee Shep's ME2 adventure, great as always, i even found arrival less annoying.
Then came ME3, i'd forgotten how truly horrible the intro was. Hate the auto-dialogue with a passion, hate the fact that neutral dialogue option has been purged, hate some of the really cringy lines like this isn't about strategy or tactics. Hate the fact i can't express the slightest frustration at being forced to work with the alliance despite anger at alliance being very possible in 2. Hate the horrible petty earth focus when its a galaxy wide threat.
ohh i hate the brat, i hated him even without the knowledge of star brattiness. The horrible forced emotion and the fact that even when the dialogue wheel popped up when he was in the vent, and you pick what you would assume is the renegade option it somes out as the most paragon response ever.
Combat is definitely smoother and some of the earth escape moments(minus

Brandi Shepard went to go pick up the Turian Primarch. Well that guy turned out to be dead so she had to go pick up his successor. She also picked up Garrus while she was there. Then EDI got a new robot body, probably as a personal way to kill Shepard in her sleep. Then Brandi went to the Citadel and met Dr. Bryson who was almost immediately killed by his assistant.

Kind of all over the place with ME. I've got runs going in all three games.
Currently, in ME1, Jaysen Shepard, Colonist, Sole Survivor.
Eden Prime
Found out I'm being considered to be a Spectre, my name being put forth by the turian Spectre named Nihlus. We're headed to the planet Eden Prime, the first successful human colony, a veritable paradise. A lot safer, too, given what happened on Mindoir, which was a little too close to the Terminus Systems and batarian space.
Nihlus was going to shadow me for a few missions but then something happened. We received video of an attack on Eden Prime. Marines under fire, a ship that looked like a giant claw reaching down. Nihlus didn't think it was the right time to watch me, instead looking to secure the Prothean beacon. I went down with Lt. Alenko and Cpl. Jenkins. Strange wildlife there but nothing dangerous.
Then we saw the the burned bodies. Jenkins went to investigate and was torn to pieces by flying turrets. Poor guy. Just wanted to prove his worth to the brass and this is what he got for it. Alenko and I took out the turrets and moved forward.
We eventually came upon a marine, Gunnery Chief Ashley Williams. She'd seen humans put onto spikes and turned into monsters. The geth were behind it. I recognized her from the video we'd seen on the Normandy. Last survivor from the 212, she joined us. We needed the firepower and she was a survivor, which made her a definite asset.
We got to the beacon site but it wasn't there. Nihlus contacted us and said he was going to check something out but we should rendezvous later. As we moved forward, we saw some beings on spikes. They were no longer human. They looked like hallowed out husks (a name Williams gave them) with metal tubing and glowing blue eyes. They attacked and we took them down. In the area were two scientists. One was sane and the other batshit crazy but they didn't have much to offer.
We approached the rendezvous point and saw a massive ship overheard. Not so much like a hand now as a squid or something. A very, very large squad. With red energy crackling around it. Drawing near the spaceport things were a wreck. More husks and a very dead Nihlus. Found some guy alive who'd taken a nap behind some crates. Lucky for him. He did say another turian named Saren, one Nihlus seemed to trust, was the one who shot him. Also learned the beacon had been moved to another dock.
Made our way to the other dock. Bombs, geth husks and the goddamned Prothean beacon. Glowing with a green beam shooting skyward. Williams said it wasn't active when she'd seen it so something was up. Alenko took a closer look while I called it in. Next thing I know, a force grabbed hold of Alenko and had him in the air. I managed to pull him free but it got me. Visions flashed through my mind of death and destruction before...
I woke up aboard the Normandy, half a day later, with Alenko hovering over me. He blamed himself but I dismissed the thought. Turned out the beacon had exploded and the Council was blaming me. Also considered me to be a failure as a Spectre candidate because of it. Meanwhile, an actual Spectre was dead. Neither of could handle it which should have given them a clue.

Jaysen Shepard:
Citadel, Part 1: Captain Anderson knew about Saren. Said he hated humans. Still a hard sell for that being a reason why he would attack Eden Prime. He couldn't get away with that without it bringing trouble to the turians. Anderson did surmise that Saren had used the beacon before me and was seeking a weapon. He was working with the geth and I saw synthetics killing organics. The kicker, though, is that Saren is a Spectre. Bad news. We didn't know his motives but he was obviously a threat.
Ambassador Udina dressed me down, blaming me for the death of a Spectre and the destruction of the beacon. As if I could single-handedly bring it about. If Nihlus had survived would they still blame me for the beacon? The Council is just as useless. They ignore that someone mentioned Saren by name and say he was merely a traumatized dock worker. By name! Now I have to go searching for clues in the Citadel, probably starting with a turian C-SEC agent who thinks Saren is dirty, but whose investigation was sidelined.

Kaylee realised that unless she did something tout suite her squad was going to consist of Liara and an annoying gorilla. First she had to land on Palaven and hey presto didn't she just run into her buddy Garrus. Seems his govt didn't lock him up and spend 6 months with their pants round their ankles waiting for the reapers to give them a wedgie. The new turian head honcho seemed to have an understanding of strategy and tactics, fortunately Shep managed to keep her inner moron in check and not insult him for it.
Back on the normandy EDI had got herself a hot new body. Once suitably dressed she joined shep in going to find a prothean thing. Turned out the prothean thing was an actual prothean. Good news is that he's a vicious SOB and the chances of her girlfriend Liara dumping her for him seem to be lengthening. This squad is looking less gorilly. Still a Miranda shaped hole in it though.

Jaysen:
Citadel, continued: Recruited, in order, a krogan named Wrex, a turian named Garrus and a quarian named Tali. The last was the most important since she had audio information implicating Saren. He was stripped of his Spectre status and I was made the first human Spectre. Did a ton of good deeds. My favorite was putting a hole in Fist's forehead. Thought Kaidan or Ashley would object but, nope, they didn't even flinch.
I was given leave to track down Saren in the Attican Traverse. That's where I'm from. Just need a ship to get me there. Can't say I wouldn't mind running into some batarians along the way. Target practice. They handed me the Normandy. Just like that. Guess they figured I would need a stealth ship in my line of work.

Jayson goes to Xawin
Kaidan and Garrus. Got to check out how my allies are in combat alongside a trusted Marine. I also got to test out my driving skills with the Mako. Pretty sure the others were really scared by my maneuvers and surely wanted to drive instead. I say suck it. I'm in charge!!!
Came across a goddamned thresher maw! No way was one of those fuckers going to take out another one of my squads. I blame the krogan for unleashing them on the galaxy.
Found a lot of useless crap, like that turian merit badge. I don't think Garrus cared for the Boy Scout comparison.
A geth trap! I blame the quarians for unleashing them on the galaxy.
Finally found something interesting, which is a merc base. Mercs are known to deal with slavers. I'm from Mindoir. I hate slavers. Ipso facto I hate mercs. Actually, I love them. I love using them for target practice. Once the place was cleared I found a dead human. An Alliance officer, in his dress blues with stripes on his shoulders. There was a datapad on him directing me to someone on the Citadel. I think the brass needs to know this guy's fate as well.
[Next up: Noveria, after some sleep.]

Jaysen hates Noveria
Haven't even landed and I already think they're a bunch of assholes. Taking Wrex with me. Need to see him in action and send a message. And that message got sent when they tried to detain us and take our weapons. They were told to stand down but some bitch tries to tell me to behave myself? Oh, she's not getting away with that. I will slap her down. I promise.
Aaaand, Matriarch Benezia is here somewhere. Saren's left hand. Now I'm told I have to jump through hoops to get the approval of the administrator of the facility. Tempting to shoot my way through. Even with the latitude I get as a Spectre, it might be frowned on by the Council. I think this place does business with them.
The salarian asshole wouldn't let me find Benezia. I was told I could get through the bureaucracy by talking to a turian named Lorik...something. His business had been shut down by the administrator and he wanted some information from his offices. The problem is that some of the security forces (not the head, who was decent) were working on the side as mercenaries to secure the place. And you know how I feel about mercs. Shoot on sight is the best policy.
I went into Lorin's place. I convinced two of the security people to walk but took down the rest. Got to intel I needed and was about to leave when the god of vengeance smiled upon me. That bitch from security - working here as a merc - was in my way. Looks like security is going to need some new guards. Heh heh heh.
The administrator's secretary turned out to be IA. She asked me to convince Lorin to testify against her boss. He agreed, the asshole was arrested and I got what I needed to get me passage to Benezia's facility. Before we could leave, we were ambushed by some geth. Head of security asked if she was supposed to believe me about that. Never mind the geth "corpses" lying all over the place. I find I really love working with Wrex. Kind of bad ass. Plus, he referred to Benezia as "that asari bitch". That wins him some points with me.
Loads of geth along the path to Peak 15, home of Binary Helix, owned by Saren and Benezia. Fun fact. I drive much better on an icy mountain path than pretty much every other terrain. I'm sure Kaidan is relieved. The facility itself was a wreck. There was a transport outside on fire and just inside the entrance it looked abandoned. Not to mention that some creepy, giant bugs were there that attacked us.
Place was loaded with geth and those bugs, which a volus scientist told me were called rachni. Apparently they had been a major threat to the galaxy and the krogan were uplifted by the salarians to taken them out. The chain here! I guess I'll now have to blame the thresher maw expansion on the rachni. Damn bugs.
Encountered Matriarch Benezia. She was one tough mother, sending asari commandos and geth after us. We beat them and her. She was under the spell of Saren but said he ship, Sovereign was what allowed him to control she and others. Then she died. There was this rachni queen to deal with. The plan was to use her progeny to create an army but they were insane when cut off from the queen. She told me to destroy them and free her. A real conundrum. On the one hand, genocide. Sure, they were dangerous, but to kill off an entire species didn't fill me with the warm and fuzzies. On the other hand, creepy giant bugs roaming to universe and taking on [mostly] all comers. In the end, I spared her. She said she'd go away and strongly implied that some outer force was behind the Rachni Wars - something that sounded like Reapers. Man, I hope I don't regret it.

I guess I'll now have to blame the thresher maw expansion on the rachni. Damn bugs. It always bugged (heh) me that Wrex doesn't recognize the rachni right away if you bring him to the facility.

Yeah there are certain people I don't take on missions or take on missions due to things like that.

I was thinking the same thing! This is the first time I brought Wrex with me to Noveria. It was Liara the first few times but then it became Garrus or Ash. (Love my runs where I take Kaidan and Ashley absolutely everywhere with me.) I agree that it makes no sense for Wrex to not know. The krogan got a statue on the Citadel. Should have had them crushing a rachni underfoot so we'd all know the menace on sight.

Jaysen has a meeting and heads to the Citadel. We have a meeting. Ash gets testy with Tali for Reasons. We know we need to head to the Mu Relay but no idea where to go. Garrus suggested that asari, the daughter of Benezia but, eh, maybe she's indoctrinated, too. I'll leave her as a last resort. Had a chat with Kaidan. I think we were flirting. Takes me back to a conversation I had with Dr. Chakwas. I soon as we parked, there was some Admiral Mikhailovich waiting to bitch about the Normandy. Does this asshole not realize it's not only out of my hands but also his? I was respectful other than my one jab saying I thought he was typically unhappy. I convinced him that at least I thought it was worthwhile. He then said his report wasn't going to be as bad as intended. Like I give a fuck. Not five minutes after reaching C-SEC Academy, I was called back up to the dock. There was a survivor of Mindoir who had been a slave to the batarians for most of her life. Couldn't NOT help her. [Wow, THE most emotional part of this entire game and only available with the Colonist background.] Bunch of other stuff, found an AI that destroyed itself rather than...be destroyed? Well, whatever, it's gone. Finished scanning the keepers. Blah blah blah

Brandi Shepard: 1. Toured the Citadel, did odd jobs for people. Only thing of note: since Kasumi died on the Suicide Mission, Brandi chose to save the Hanar and let Spectre Bau die.
2. Scanned the galaxy for more stuff.
3. Met with the diplomats, avoided a diplomatic incident (No one got physically hurt or killed). Went to Sur'Kesh to go pick up a Krogan female. Cerberus attacked. Killed all the Cerberus, returned with the Krogan now nicknamed 'Eve'.

Brandi Shepard: 1. Went to Eden Prime to pick up a Prothean Artifact. Stupid thing turned out to be an actual Prothean in a stasis pod. Liara nagged at Brandi to unthaw the guy until Brandi relented. Then Cerberus dropped in to try and stop Brandi, but you know how that goes. Anyway, Prothean unthawed and he is miserable; Prothy the Prothean is not a morning person.
2. Toured a Cerberus Lab, picked up some Reaper Tech at the gift shop. Things got violent when the Cerberus cashier refused to accept Brandi's credit card.
3. Landed on Tuchanka to check out a giant gun. Cerberus was there and mad at Brandi for some reason (probably about the Cerberus goons she killed), and tried to kill her. That ended predictably. Then Brandi tested the gun out on a Cerberus Cruiser. She was happy with the results, but it was too big for the Normandy, so she left it on Tuchanka.

Playing ME1, and I'll get to the topic soon, but I had to mention that Star Trek: Insurrection just came on. As I'm listening to Deanna Troi, all I could think was "Didn't I just kill you a little while ago?"
