Brandi Shepard: 1. Went to Grissom Academy. Brandi still hates school, so she painted graffiti on the walls using Cerberus blood. No shortage of Cerberus donors at the school. She rescued as many students as she could. Prangley didn't make it.
2. Wrex wanted to know what happened to his missing scouts, so Brandi went looking. She found Grunt, Reaper tech, and heavily-modified Reaper-bred Rachni. Also, a giant Rachni Queen created by the Reapers. She left the Queen to die while Grunt decided to take out the remaining Rachni by himself. As per usual, Shepard squadmates are much better killing machines when they are not active squadmates.
3. Cerberus was killing civilians on Benning. Brandi went to Benning and killed Cerberus so the civilians could escape.

Jaysen thought the view from Luna was outstanding.
We came, we conquered and ended up a Nemesis. Also, some binary code went out somewhere. To the geth? This thing was supposed to be a VI but it sure didn't behave like one. Combine that with the the rumors that the Alliance had been messing with AI a couple of decades ago and it doesn't seem to me like they've stopped.
Dammit, hasn't the Exodus Cluster suffered enough? First the Sovereign ruins Eden Prime and now batarians are hurling Asteroid X57 at Terra Nova. Upside is that it gives me more batarians to kill.
Some Kate Bowman chick has been helping me out, right? Or at least commenting whenever I took down one of those asteroid propelling torches. Rather than allow the batarians know that a seasoned Alliance Marine was shutting them down, she remains silent. Now, if she were sacrificing herself it would be one thing, but she let them kill her brother. That's fucked up.
Some batarian tried to cut a deal with me to give me the access key to where his boss, Balak, was hiding. He said it was just going to be some sort of slave run not a colony-destroying event. Bwah hah hah hah! What an idiot. He doesn't know I shoot batarians on sight. I did get his access key though.
Sadly, Kate Bowman and basically everyone on the asteroid died except this one guy. But Terra Nova survived. And Kate Bowman won't have to live with the guilt of directly causing her brother to be murdered.
I pretty much tortured Balak with shots here and there. Might have killed him but he talked about a batarian rebellion. Left him for the Alliance to sort it out. Sometimes you have to make the supreme sacrifice and not kill a batarian.
One last thing. Terra Nova-rise looked nice. Not as nice as Earthrise but worth the view.
There was a distress signal from Metgos that I decided to investigate. It was all bullshit. More dead robots.
Tuntau. Why the hell would I land there? Well, I'll tell you. I found some pirates. I took their treasure. And I found some shitty piece of krogan armor. Guess I'll give it to Wrex.
Found an asari pyramid and really hoping they weren't our Egyptian gods. In a pod there were some writings from Matriarch Dingaling or whatever the hell her name is.
Stopped by Pinnacle Station. Two things accomplished. First, I tore some asshole bird man's record to shreds, which had the side effect of freeing a human he was trying to imprison. (Sorry, Garrus, you're the only turian I've met yet who isn't a complete and utter piece of shit, so "bird man" it is.) Second, I won a damn apartment! Yeah, it's on some desert world where the atmosphere will kill you but it's mine!

Last squadmate to try out it Tali on Altahe. So what is on this planet? A worldwide dust storm, but not very big. Nothing compared to the ones I saw during my N-training on Mars. I did find some of Dingalings writings. Found my way to a listening post. There were rachni nests around it. Can't decide whether or not I should be kicking myself for letting the rachni queen go or not. She did say they were all crazy so it's possible some escaped. Either way, I'm killing them.
First thing I see inside are dead people. Dead Marines. Then the rachni themselves. Finally, some weird looking things I'm going to call rachni eggs. Eggs = queen. Did the rachni queen really come here or is there another? Shotgun fire made sure those eggs never hatched. There was a mayday transmitted and indications that these rachni drones came from the Argos Rho Cluster.
Found a second nest and these guys were tougher. They still got squashed. I was hoping for a thresher maw since this planet seemed perfect for one but no dice.
I tripped over something in my quarters and realized I'd dropped that crap krogan armor on the floor. I gave it to Wrex. Turned out it was his grandfather's. I think he might have liked me a little more because I gave it to him.
Nepmos is hot. Kaidan says so. Ashley says so. It's too volcanic-y for my tastes. [I'm watching an episode of South Park where they learn a volcano is forming near the town. What are the odds?] Found a group of marines holding of some more goddamn rachni! More dead bugs ensue. Helped save them but turns out there was a larger nest elsewhere that needed to be taken down.
These things are all over the planet. Keep encountering nests. Finally found the main one in a mine. There were a couple of big ones in there but we rooted them all out.

Brandi Shepard: 1. Went to Tuchanka to cure the genophage. Before she could head down, Brandi got a call from the Salarian Dalatrass. The Dalatrass offered her a deal: Sabotage the cure in exchange for full Salarian support.
Brandi was not sure whether to take the deal or not. A previous chat with EDI had her concerned about the potential Krogan birthrate, plus the Krogan are not exactly a *nice* species. And then Wrex was talking about Krogan expansion and a new Krogan empire... And how old is Wrex, exactly? Even with a rather progressive Eve, Brandi has never talked with another Krogan female and all other Krogan males she met are pretty much cookie-cutter Krogan.
When it was time to deliver the cure, Brandi tried to talk Mordin out of it. When he insisted on delivering it, Brandi pulled out her gun and threatened him with it. He ignored it and made for the The Shroud. Brandi hesitated.... then fired. Mordin fell face first into the elevator, presumed dead. Brandi hurried out to go throw up.
Brandi then lied to Wrex and Eve (now calling herself Bakara) about Mordin, then went back to Normandy to sleep. Needless to say, she had nightmares. Then she had to lie again to Garrus and Joker. Javik seemed to know what she did though, with that sensory ability of his. Hopefully he keeps his mouth shut.
2. In an effort to get her mind off of killing an old friend, Brandi went to Noveria to recover a fighter base from Cerberus. It went a little too quickly for her liking.

Brandi Shepard: 1. Aria wanted help retaking Omega, so Brandi went to go help retake Omega. Things immediately went south when Omega's upgraded defenses started cutting through Aria's fleet, so Brandi and Aria jumped into a lifepod and crashed into Omega. They then fought their way through Omega, shutting down Omega's defenses and making their way to Aria's underground bunker. They even picked up a Turian ally named Nyreen who seemed to know Aria well.
2. Nyreen split, so Brandi and Aria went on their own to go recruit a local gang called the Talons. Cerberus started to attack the Talons before they got there, but that only meant Cerberus would get gunned down. If Cerberus had waited, they may have been able to trap Brandi and Aria along with the Talons. Oh well. Good(-ish) news: Nyreen was actually the Talon leader, and she agreed to help Aria.
3. First stop: a trip to the Omega eezo mines to shut down the force fields throughout the station. The trip was relatively non-important, except for the standard Cerberus troops. Also, those crazy Adjutant things Nyreen kept going on about. Brandi did not think they were all that tough. Oh, and General Petrovsky nearly trapped them with force fields, but Aria used her biotics to open a hole so Shepard could escape and shut down the power. Brandi tried to reroute the power safely, but when Aria got hurt, Brandi hit the overload before things got worse.
I wanted to complete all of the Omega DLC in one sitting, but I quit when it was getting late and I just did not feel like playing any more.

Aria and Nyreen split up to take different routes to Afterlife. Brandi went with Aria. Nyreen made it to Afterlife first, then died when she blew herself up to take out a bunch of Adjutants. What a moron.
Nyreen's pointless sacrifice made Aria mad and she ran into Afterlife without thinking like an idiot, getting her caught in a fairly obvious trap. Brandi is not an idiot, and managed to free Aria and took on all comers before General Petrovsky surrendered. That was his last mistake since Aria then took the opportunity to choke him to death. Then Brandi went back to the Normandy.

The BEST character in the whole trilogy. Also a lesson on how to WASTE another character because your main plataform requires multiple disc-swaps. Don't worry, they did it again with Miranda in ME3.

Brandi Shepard: 1. Went to the Citadel to meet with the Salarian Councillor, found herself in the middle of a Cerberus Coup. Brandi made sure to stamp down that coup real quick. Brandi also met Kai Leng for the first time. Kai Leng tried to kill the Salarian Councillor, but Kirahee took the bullet. Kai Leng escaped, and when Brandi gave chase, he managed to crash her shuttle.
Brandi managed to make it to Udina and the other councillors before they walked into a Cerberus trap. Brandi managed to talk Kaiden down, then shot Udina when he pulled a gun and pointed it the Asari Councillor (Kaiden was too slow.)
2. Brandi wandered the Citadl, talked to a few people, returned a few trinkets. Met Kaiden on the way back to the Normandy. Kaiden mentioned that Hackett offered him a new position, but that he would like to go back to the Normandy again. Kaiden was not really needed, and when the promotion train comes calling you get on, so Brandi told him to take the position with Hackett.
3. Brandi talked to some of her crew on the Normandy, including Traynor. Traynor wanted to play chess, but commented on Brandi's shower. Brandi offered Traynor the use of the shower, which Traynor accepted. Traynor then offered a hint that she was interested in Brandi, but Brandi did not clue in and waited until Traynor was finished. THIS IS WHY YOU ARE STILL SINGLE, BRANDI! Traynor then whupped Brandi's ass at chess.
4. The Asari wanted Brandi to go to an Ardat-Yakshi Monastery and figure out why their commandos stopped reporting in. At the monastery, they found dead commandos next to dead Reaper troops, along with orders to detonate a bomb. Samara was also there, looking for her daughters. One of the daughters was fine, but the other was being turned into a Reaper vassal, so they rescued the good one and left the other to die with the bomb. Brandi then convinced Samara to join the fight against the Reapers.
5. Traynor wanted Brandi to go rescue some ex-Cerberus scientists from Cerberus forces. Brandi helped stop a Cerberus attack, then fixed some AA towers to help the scientists escape, then held off Cerberus again so the rest of the scientists could escape.
6. Back to the Citadel for a few more meetups.

Jaysen really didn't think Presrop was the sexiest planet out there. One giant pile of dirt. The view of Klendragon wasn't bad, looking at that giant rift valley that tears through it. Found some random crap around the planet. Don't know who keeps littering the galaxy with probes full of weapons, armor and mods, but I'm not complaining. Did find the biotic compound led by "Father Kyle", a non-biotic leading a group of biotics. I might give a pass to the L2's who got the short end but that's it. Kaidan's fine. So I talked to this guy, actually Major Kyle. Dude is delusional as fuck. He thinks he's some kind of messiah protecting his "children". Problem is he killed two Alliance investigators. The biotics all act like they're under a weird spell. Still, Hackett didn't want a bloodbath so I talked Kyle into turning himself in. Oh, man. Hackett sent me on a mission related to Akuze. Ontarom. Then I found the place. Full of mercs. At the end was Cpl. Toombs. Turned out I wasn't the only survivor of Akuze. He had a gun to the head of a scientist, which was in line with evidence pointing to some scientists connected to the thresher maw attack. Some organization called Cerberus was behind it and spent years experimenting on him. I really wanted to see that scientist with a bullet in his head but I thought two things: 1) I didn't want to see Toombs suffer for this and 2) I was hoping to expose Cerberus. [Note: Remind me to put some points into intimidate next time. Want that scientists dead but without Toombs killing himself.] Rayingri. Besides it being one more featureless planet, there was a facility with lots and lots of dragon's teeth outside of it. That means husks. There's also supposed to be geth in the area. Yep, husks. The ones that explode. And geth. Including the ones that kind of sort of look like that old comic hero Yellowjacket. Major snowstorm on Antibaar. One less thresher maw in the universe. Prothean ruin. Radar busted = geth. Lots of geth. Major geth. "Dead" geth. Just the way I like geth. Meteor showers on Casbin. Looks nice but a major geth outpost. Took it out and the geth dropship. Also another small outpost with some turrets.

Brandi Shepard: 1. Hackett ordered the Normandy into Dry Dock, so she checked out Anderson's apartment. Then Anderson called and gifted the apartment to her. Now she has two apartments, unless her apartment on Intai'sei was sold while she was 'dead'. Then she received a call from Joker, who invited her out to lunch...
2. ... only Joker did not actually invite her. An Alliance specialist named Brooks told her that someone was hacking her account, at which point a merc band showed up, looking for Shepard. A fight ensued and Brandi fell through a fish tank and down a few stories. She then fought her way through the mercs to a skycar lot, where she was picked up by crew.
(Side note: I am recording gameplay for this playthrough, and my recording device/software glitched on this mission, meaning I had to do it TWICE! I hate this mission and I had to do it twice!! AAAAAAH!!!!)
3. Back at the apartment, Brandi gathered the team and Liara came up with some intel. Apparently some dodgy Casino owner (is there any other kind?) had sold the mercs some weapons that were used in the ambush. He was now in hiding. So Brandi took Brooks and James to the casino to go have a talk with the owner. They found the casino owner dead, but managed to call back the buyer, who was angry at seeing Brandi alive. The mystery person and Brandi traded verbal jabs, then Brandi headed back to the apartment to plan her next move.

You Won't Get a Game Over for Failing Missions in Cyberpunk 2077You know, this is something I've always wanted in certain missions in ME3, like Tuchanka Bomb. Yes, it's reliant on how good the devs implement the feature and if it will matter in the end.
But how cool would be if you could fail the Tuchanka Bomb and the game goes on regardless, with unforseen consequences? Like loosing a squadmate - hello psychos - jeopardizing the krogan/turian alliance or even making it impossible.
A shame ME3 isn't an RPG.

But how cool would be if you could fail the Tuchanka Bomb and the game goes on regardless, with unforseen consequences? Uh, it does? You lose massive krogan war assets if the bomb goes off. Of course, the only ways to 'fail' are to not do the mission, or to wait too long to do it. Are you talking about failing to disable the bomb even if you attempt to do so?

I just started a new ME2 playthrough with a broShep. I usually play femShep, but I want to go through ME2 and ME3 with a dude.
Anyway, his name is Logan Shepard, a Colonist, Sole Survivor, and Soldier. I imported an ME1 save I did ages ago, but he was pretty mixed alignment-wise. The Council did not survive, oh noes.
So far he's woken up from a 2 year long nap to find a station under attack by mechs and the only person he's met so far is a weird biotic guy named Jacob, with a somewhat familiar logo on his form-fitting uniform. Logan feels like he's seen that somewhere before...Hrm.
ETA: Here he is!

Yes, doing the mission and failing to the disable the bomb. The consequences open to a wide variety of outcomes. You can maintain de default decision of only losing krogan assets, you can add the loss of a squadmate in the middle, you can also add loss of turian assets to the mix and so on.
It would be a lot more natural.
Instead the only way of losing krogan support in this particular case is not doing the mission, which makes no sense giving the game's plot and setting.
Something like the mission to save admiral Koris would be better. It's not a perfect comparison, because the player is doing a choice in this mission. It's a choice dumb as hell, I give you that, but is the player's choice. In essence you did a mission and failed to save the admiral, but the game goes on. There's even a great dialog between Shepard and Xen, where she states there's a possibility Koris isn't alive, so there's no blame in coming back empty-handed.
One thing that always bug me in ME3 is this kind of gameplay design. Most of the time to fail a mission that net you war assets you actually have to not do the mission. The only way of not gathering the assets in the N7 side-quests in ME3 is by not doing the quests.
This is not ME3's fault exclusively, most games actually do this, if you start a quest there's no way you can fail it, otherwise is game over.
But I wish this trend changed among game's devs, it's horrible, specially in RPGs.
Fallout 1/2 and FNV are great in this aspect, the liberty you have to solve most quests the way you desire is impressive. And most of the time failing a quest isn't a game over screen, but you will have consequences coming back to hunt you later on.
Also is one of the few games where you can chose to side with every faction you want and the game doesn't judge you for it.
