First off, I'm already laughing from the character interactions, especially Sera running around at the spa in the background, but, I've talked to everyone, and yet the "Optional:Catch up with old friends" is still on the screen. I've talked with both Ambassadors, so...does it just stay up there no matter what?

Yes, as I recall.

There must be someone left to talk to. I sometimes forget to go talk to whoever is Divine and Dorian after first encountering them.

Yeah, I got it to work. However, this is now annoying me-for some reason, even while wearing a Belt of Focus, I can't get my Mark Of the Rift power to go off. I can do the discharge one, but my Glowy Rift of Pain isn't being able to be used, even when I figure I have to have scored enough Focus to use it. Does it just not...work in Trespasser?

No it works all right but differently from the main game. Make a note of what they say it can do each time you acquire a new ability. As the game progresses it will also recharge itself without needing to fight anyone, so if it is not working just give it a few seconds and then it will.
Otherwise you must have a bug.

Are you on console or PC? On PC, the command to discharge the Mark is on the same key as Summon Mount. So whatever the equivalent is on console might be what you need to do. It's not the same as Use Focus Ability.

Looks like I just wasn't building up Focus as fast as I thought, plus, I didn't realize that that special ability you get with the Mark now uses some Focus, etc?

Looks like I just wasn't building up Focus as fast as I thought, plus, I didn't realize that that special ability you get with the Mark now uses some Focus, etc? it always used focus. about the friends quest, you need to make sure you talked to all the advisors and companions, the divine and dorian need to be talked to as well after you speak with the ferelden and orlesian ambassadors respectively. the side quest will go off after you speak to everyone, but it's easy to miss some.
