I have scanned the forums and other sites, but have not been able to find the answer to this.
I recently replayed DAI to go for the best epilogue possible. For Orlais, looking at the Wiki, I decided that would be Briala + Celene with:
"The empire's ties to the Inquisition remain strong, both sides benefiting from the ongoing relationship. The alliance meets with the approval of Celene's subjects, who see it as a necessary move within the game. Orlais prospers, and soon forgets that it could very easily have been otherwise."
Now, previously I did the three-way truce and got "clings too tightly." When I did Briala + Celene this time, I also got "clings too tightly." (With 100 court approval and every war table mission.)
So I went back to WEWH and this time I finished it with with Celene + Briala and 75 approval and I did ZERO war table missions... and I STILL got "clings too tightly." I could drop the approval lower, but I'm afraid it'd drop down into one of the "icy reception" options. Maybe 50 or 60 approval? Damn, it's kind of a pain to test.
So I went on youtube and I watched every single epilogue I could find--even the ones that weren't in English. (I'm guessing 20-30 of them.) Not one of them had "gratitude remains strong and the alliance meets with the approval of Celene's subjects" except for one that was just every slide and not actually a completed game ending. So I mean, I guess it's technically there, but I've yet to see anyone actually get it.
I found plenty of "puppets" (usually when you kill Briala and Gaspard) and the vast majority of them are "clings too tightly" when it's either a three way truce or Briala reconciliation.
So I guess what I'm asking is, has anyone ever seen the "unknown condition" outcome I posted above, in relation to any ending, briala + celebs, or otherwise? If so, how?
I just got done confirming, after hours of save file editing, that the "balanced inquisition" text in relation to war table missions is impossible to get. Is this one another of those?
Thanks!

I suspect it has to do with the amount of blackmail you gather through eavesdropping or documents you receive from elven servants.
I have tried several times to get the balanced Inquisition ending but it seems to default to diplomacy. It's determined by the number of times you use an advisor on a war table mission, even if it's resource gathering. I've found I could switch from a military might reference to diplomacy just by sending Josephine out to gather elfroot once.

I've found I could switch from a military might reference to diplomacy just by sending Josephine out to gather elfroot once. I had a playthrough in which I only ever sent out all three of the advisors at a time, never one on their own and I still got the military Inquisition, really wanted the balanced, but never got got it once. As to the OT, I actually got the Orlais prospers one, in my last run through, but for the life of me I have no idea how. I did have a couple war table missions (orlais focused) that I played out differently, I made choices that seemed for the betterment of Orlais, sometimes at the expense of the Inquisition and it's reputation. Could be that maybe? I would have thought the bribe material would make Orlais more under the inquisition thumb, but then, my first playthrough, I thought agreeing with Viv that mages should be in the chantry would give me Leliana as a divine.... which it didn't.... (grumbles and curses VIvienne)

I've feeling that perhaps it's better to tally how many times an advisor is used by noting it down on paper. Perhaps it'd make it easier to even them out.

That way leads to hordes of empty envelopes, with chicken scratch, strewn about my desk I avoided that hassle by deploying advisors in groups of three, I was just never sure if EVERYTHING on the wartable counted, DLC mounts, main missions (DLC and otherwise) and zero timer missions. It's possible I missed one or two at the beginning, where I thinkyou have to use forces quite abit and there aren't many wartable missions to busy the other advidors on, once the resource missions opened it was easier to juggle, but meh. I don't think it makes much difference in the keep anyway.
