Hawke Omg, I want a cat curled around my neck in battle too! Well, I broke down and swapped Eb for Verse. I just had to see what will come out of half-siblings story with her an Barik, but so far I only got a rise out of Barik to make them train together, and gained a combo ability from them. Which promptly froze Barik in a crouching position prompting a reload. Other times it does work. Gotta save more often. Crimson Zhou wiped out Bronze Brotherhood, the Unbroken and got a v. cool sword for Barik, some sort of a Disfavored heirloom. Kindda glad I am playing on story mode, as that battle was gruelling. Also, had a long chat with Graven Ashe about his sad, sad family history & Disfavored formation, so now I know why they are calked that and like my faction even more. Also got the Sentinel Keep unlocked, but decided to do the Broken Bastion area first. I wonder if it's the area from the expansion. Anyways... that's what I am about to do tonight.

Looks like they've added "romances" for Verse and Barik:

Looks like they've added "romances" for Verse and Barik: OMG, that's what Barik looks de-armored and washed up? (Drools). I thought his eyes are bright blue? I cannot watch vid atm, pls, tell me there is at least an actual flirt where Barik does not run away screaming from the PC!

Yes, I just blew up my data limit and watched the clip on my tablet in a remote corner of my office. Omg, please let it be open to a female PC! I have a day off tomorrow, and I have a feeling that my irises and raspberries will have to wait for pruning. I did not think I'd live to see day when an Obsidian's game excites me more in terms of a romance with a male companion than BioWARE's... WTF just have happened?

Okay, this is odd I'm working my way through the Stone Sea, I was dealing with the Stonestalker tribe, and cleared out the Scarlet Chorus presence in their shrine, but the next area didn't open up. I can't get to Howling Rock and the Gulfglow Oldwalls never opened up at all. I can't advance the main quest

Yeah, I am going to keep my save before going there and stop if I run into bugs.
The patch did install, so fingers crossed.

Well, and everything was going so well... (cries) I can't for the life of mine find a way to get to the Fractured Depth. I have a couple of Hollowed bits opened up, but they are locked in, and a tiny corner of the Abyss. The only two teleporters always lead to Hollowed places from the Wound, time of day notwithstanding. I am screwed.

Thanks, but this seems to be a separate issue. I''m doing the Stone Sea questline trying to get the Azure Shield.

Gulfglow Oldwalls should be available after meeting Hundred-Blood, Howling Rock - after you deal with the Stonestalkers. Try to talk to Hundred-Blood again. If it doesn't work, then bug is possible.

So, after I left Bastard Wound for later ( Hawke gave me a tp I am going to try later to get to the blessed Fractured Depth there), I went through the siege of Sentinel Keep (and made Amelia abdicate her daughter's rights); then it turned out I was not done with the bronze Brotherhood, and I went on a wild goose-chase, along with helping verse to avenge her gang. Heh, that put me back into the Oldwalls dungeon in the Twin Rivers after a few iterations (with more and more torchkeys)... and I am too sleepy to finish it. That's 31 hours... ain't a short game, lol.

Well, I found an old save from before I entered the Stone Sea and restarted that leg of the journey. But this time, instead of clearing out the shrine for Hundred Blood, I challenged her for the position of Prima of the clan. That seemed to have worked and I now have access to both spires. I guess taking the violent, direct route can be more effective

Haven't encountered it in 3 PTs. But had the duel with Hundred-Blood bugged 2 times (the tribe was becoming hostile after I defeated 2-3 opponents).

Why can't I mother[loving] sell off all these mother[loving] Camping Supplies? If I use them I lose my Spire rest bonuses (and possibly others from random encounters, too). If I don't use them, they clog my inventory and I can't use treasure icons on the map to accurately assess where I have and haven't been yet when I start getting lost.

Oh, I just use up camping supplies to be able to do more Combo attacks with Barik/Verse. They are so fun and clear out a lot of mob 37 hours in. With Hawke invaluable tip I was able to finally complete the dungeon in the bastard Wound, and even (thanks, Wiki) find the Chronicles with Lantry. Talk about hidden in plain sight! I left Reef in charge of the BW. Next, I completed Verse's companion quest that was as trivial as those ones get, a standard "OMG, don't take revenge!" stuff. The only nice thing was intervention by Barik. I guess he does care about his sister, despite the Nordic hubris. We chatted about his armor again... apparently he now does not smell, so who knows what's left in there. Finished the unduly stretched out quest chain for Ashe in Lethian Crossing & was sent to the Stone Sea. OMG, Caedis and Radix, can I please, please have them as my companions? Radix tongue though does not belong in the early Iron Age, heh. But they are the coolest NPCs in a while So, yeah, the game is starting to feel too too long despite the Stone Sea feeling like a nice area, and the promise to finally be able to kill Nerat, and the story about Cairn being interesting. By now, I frankly do not see Kyros as anything evil, and acquired a perfectly honest loyalty to the Disfavored. EDIT: I also really appreciate correspondence with the Fatebinder who explains a lot of things to me - it's better than cutscene flashbacks to other characters imo, and well, I know I want to play with Scarlet Chorus and Rebels, but OMG, whatever I am gonna do without Barik????

I just tried sticking Kills-in-Shadow in my group for the trip to the Stone Sea, since there are other Beastwomen involved and I figger she might have some extra dialogue, like Barik did in the Blade Grave. What I have learned: 1. Kills-in-Shadow is absolutely ridiculous compared to my other fighters. I gave her the unarmed tree and she just rips through everything, especially when I can start battles in stealth (too bad that doesn't work for story battles). 2. Taking her along in a Disfavored-path playthrough racks up her Fear quick-fast-much.

She can wield two handed weapons in one hand and totally wrecks people's sh*t! I do have to give her a spell taunt she she doesn't have one of her own though. Going the independent route, she really likes it when I pick fights and get in people's face.

46 hours in, finished Act 2
I don't think I remember a protagonist with that sort of feel of personal power since... pretty much ever. Very well done, announcing my own Edict, waaaay cool. The storyline set up for Act 3 reminds me of Throne of Bhaal, but, hopefully with more flexibility.
While finishing Act 2 I was feeling a bit hot under the collar, so I did not try to find non-lethal descisions, and whipped out Stonewalker tribe to the last man, woman and cub; plus sterilized Azul's Stone Sea. Was really sad about the necessity to destroy Cairn. I think I am not on good terms with Azul since the Conquest. Oh, well, the Younger Realms never loved Fatebinder Crimson Zhou, can't really expect them to love Archon Of the Tiers.
The correspondence with Bleden Mark is hilarious. Can't wait to get into Act 3!
