Just as a followup, having finished my Rebel play much more quickly than my first one (not having to do any restarting helped with that), it seems that the vendor in the Disfavored camp who only appears after starting NG+ will sell you an item that lets you de-armor Barik from the beginning. For story purposes, he'll still be trapped in the armor, and you can still re-run his personal quests, but you can dress him as you please. Is there an advantage to starting NG+? I saw folks saying that the game is much more difficult, and seeing how easy is to get gear, I just started the second PT from level 1 again. Any thoughts? Considering that sigils are carried over, NG+ is easier for a mage, than for a pure warrior/rogue. Two artifacts and reputation abilities are nice to have, but nothing balance-breaking. The NG+ merchant, Phaedrus, sells some Superior (blue) equipment, obtainable in NG only through RNG (which is unreliable). Companions' and enemies' level scaling might be beneficial or not, depending on how did you end the previous PT - e.g. Barik was level 10 with mostly Superior (blue) armor. When he joined in NG+, he was 21 with Exquisite (purple) equipment. I'm not sure, if loot scaling was changed in v.1.1 or it's NG+ thing, but random drops were worse quality, than during NG (v1.0.4).

Thanks, folks, I think I will just run it in Easy Mode again from scratch. I don't feel like what I have done in the game really warrants keeping stuff at the expense of enemies scaling. But first I need to try to finish the Assassin's Creed and Jade Empire

So on the one hand, it seems part of the reasons my first couple playthroughs took longer than "average" was because I was micro-managing combat pretty heavily. This time around I've been pretty much letting the AI run things, and I'm probably going through the game about twice as fast.
On the other, WOW. The combat A.I. is TERRIBLE. Yes, Verse, use your leap ability to teleport AWAY from the enemies, then decide to melee attack their back line, while two other hostiles block your path. Don't attack those hostiles, that's fine. Just run in place until the enemies that aren't being killed miraculously disappear and open a path.
Enemy gets nice and clustered up, okay, time to let loose with Chaotic Descent spells! ...or not, Lantry just Terrorized them all and now they're scattered again. He was saving that super-long cooldown, high AoE damage effect for when the last enemy alive is at critical health.
That's some Sun Tzu right there.

I find Eb and Lantry REALLY like closing to melee with enemies. I swear, I'm pretty sure that, despite the combat/armor system basically requiring constant weapon changes for "normal" builds, the AI was not programmed to change weapons if they're being ineffective, which is annoying enough since the NPCs will "complain" about it constantly. And yet, STILL somehow I saw Lantry go from throwing javelins to just punching guys at one point. It's possible I misclicked at one point while moving items to stash or something, but the sheer depraved idiocy of the AI in so many other cases kinda makes me think he did it on his own.

That's hilarious. Verse with the bow was okay for me, but Lantry's dreams of tanking are frustrating In addition, I found that the concept of focused fire is not familiar to Kyros' subjects. They all prefer to yolo.

Finished my 2nd playthrough and this time i chose the rebel path. It was awesome having different quests depending on which faction you side with. It`s such a great game for roleplaying, i really felt like i was playing two completely different characters in each playthrough, having one loyal to Kyros and another one conspiring against him/her.

OKay, I have to ask:
Is there any way to get Reef-Talon back in power? I can't stand these other two idiots and want to convince her to come back.
No such luck though, all I can do is get her to go even further into the Oldwalls.

Yes, you just need to call them out on their BS, then a new questgiver will appear, but it must be done before going into the Oldwalls.

One quest I really wish I did on the first PT was to find and interpret all the murals, but I just was so happy to get out of that dungeon... well, next time, I hope I can figure it out. Those were very interesting scenes. I also loved Lantry's quest, despite it being low-key.

I found like four of them while wandering around, but aside from chatting with Lantry about the possible origins of the Oldwalls, they didn't seem to do anything.

I believe they help you to get a good ending with Reef. I did put her in charge, but my epilogue indicated she was unsuccessful. My understanding is, there is an additional quest that allows you to use murals to achieve successful settlement of the Wound under Reef.

I did it successfully, partially, because I was the Prima of the Stonestalkers.
