It's not gonna be a clusterfuck... but it's not really going to crescendo what the game as a whole has been the way ME1 or ME2 does it. Instead it'll probably be more like DA:I's final mission which, while "epic" felt completely tacked on and begins with almost no context. in that case here's hoping the real ending will be the final DLC as in DA:I . Trespasser should have been the real ending and Corypheus just a critical mission , or it could have been all included in a same final chapter. I don't feel the need of having a huge "Final Boss" as much as having a good plot being unraveled . I like Trespasser for that reason and it leaves the game open for "something to come". Yeah, because that's a practice we want to encourage in the gaming industry. "Its okay if the ending sucks. I'll buy the real one a year later for 20 bucks" Coypheus would have been good as like a mini-boss. Like you beat him and then elf-boy goes all anime like "HUAHAHAHAHAHA I AM THE TRUE VILLAIN. PREPARE FOR DESTRUCTION. I NOW KNOW ALL YOUR WEAKNESSES" or something and then you have another 6-10 hours going "ah fuck we gotta stop Elfington" as Solas actually starts kicking the Inquisition's ass.

As someone who finished the game after 65 hours and has 87% completion I couldn't disagree more.

One thing that is very peculiar to me about Archon is that it seems that players who go to Havar-whatever first feel like he's not there the entire game until the last third because they take Voeld really late or something (my guess; haven't finished) but I was kinda relieved to take on Voeld and its Crit-path missions so early because that properly established him. It just seems beyond rushed and haphazard when you just stumble into him in space before going to the Angara world at first. In general, from the zero-G moment in the start to this and even some of the cutscenes in the Exaltation mission there's this strange sense of rush in the cutscenes like they just fly past into a contrived combat encounter. It's probably just Ken Thaine being a bad cinematics guy for such a "blockbuster" game. He had the same role on DA:O and it worked for that game having mediocre graphics and stiltedness and all but for this game it gives a lot of cutscenes a kind of laughable quality to them.
I always feel like the transition from gameplay to an important cutscene moment either when it starts or finishes feels super abrupt and strange. I think the cinematography is off. There's a lack of information in the transitions that I haven't felt before in BioWare games. It's weird.

I honestly think this is kind of a perfection to the DLC formula established in ME2. They arguably did it with ME3 as well where despite the plot ending in the vanilla game, the real thematic ending (which sucks that it was that way) ended up happening in Citadel DLC. In Trespasser it was similar though that felt more like a tasteful epilogue that wrapped up the more intricate plot of DA:I. I'm sure the DLC for this game could end up being phenomenal. There's already a lot of good things that just needed more polish in the game right now and the plot really feels like it needed more attention but it otherwise has good corners of brilliance. I also dissent from the critics in that I really like the squad right now and I ended up loving the cast of Inquisition too with the Trespasser DLC to close them off. I'm a Sera fan so PeeBee hits right at home with me lol.

True, each game having its own context i suppose it's also unfair to compare : Citadel is a mixture of fan service, a redeeming mission after the " Citadel brat" and also the devs indulging in nostalgia ( which we all enjoyed) to bring the trilogy to its closure. Trespasser on the other hand seems a long planned , well thought out mission ( with an excellent soundtrack ) that answers many questions ( also offers among the best fighting in the game along with the Deep Roads Darkspawn battle ) and opens the door to DA4 . I'm not far at all in MEA ( but i'm enjoying it and MP is a blast ) so i 'll wait till i see the ending but if it's as reported, the last DLC could improve the game and here's hoping , announce a sequel .

I liked the Archon better. He gets the better of Ryder at times and appears to be more of a threat.
