These Remnant Decryption puzzles are killing me.

Oh god I'm screwed. Sudoku might as well be calculus to me.

Are these puzzles randomly generated? Assuming they're not it can only be a matter of hours until someone posts screenshots of all the answers if they haven't done so already.

No, they are not randomly generated. Or at least per every time you open up the interface, I'm not sure about leaving the planet or per copy of game.

I did find out however that Remnant drop Remnant Keys for these things so you just have to farm them which I'm down for...

I just don't know where to farm them exactly.

Edit: Turns out I'm at a monolith where the remnant respawn every time you fail the puzzle... so I'll try to farm it up tonight and see if I can get a key.

Okay so ill give you a head start here its really easy when you get the hang of it, Sudoku has 9 symbols let alone 4 or 5 (MEA) so at least the devs went easy on us

So we know from the image below that Exhibit A Will be the same symbol as Exhibit D because there are already 3 symbols in that column meaning only 2 possible left to fill both exhibit A and C. We cant put Exhibit B in Exhibit A because then the same symbol will repeat itself twice on the same row (A+B ). So that leaves us with Exhibit D. Now because we know Exhibit A = D we now also know by process of elimination that C = B.



That head start should be more than enough as this is one of the easiest puzzles as not only can the rows/colums only have 1 of each symbol in them, you have the added help that the + shape in the middle and the 4 other shapes surrounding it also can only have 1 of each symbol thus making this puzzle much easier to narrow down quickly.

Real Sudoku puzzles would make you guess at least 1 or 2 numbers then run with it to see if it creates a problem before backtracking much like a crossword but im shit at both. Anything that doesn't require guessing i can manage though. Think im getting a bit slow in my old age 

It may just be the imagery of the actual symbols that are off putting (they are a bit alien) you could try re-branding them as 1-5 or A-D using some paper to show which is which and you would probably find it a lot easier.

Honestly...good addition. It's nice to have a challenging puzzle for once.

I certainly love 'em. They're right up my alley of puzzles types and unlike the one on Noveria, I actually know how I'm supposed to solve 'em.

More reasons not to replay the game. Puzzles are ok on the first play-through, but wouldn't want to do them on subsequent play-throughs. Are they a requirement to do to continue or complete quests or are they totally optional?

Yeah, the first time I ran into one I had a "WTF is this" moment. It didn't turn out to be too bad and I find it more enjoyable than lockpicking doors.
