Such as the case with leveling your character...Since when has this been an option to do in this game..This is about the 8th basic aspect of this game that is very important and needed that has not even been mentioned so the player is even aware of them.
Every time I see a game basic and or some other important aspect that was never explained in the game that should have by now, it just turns me away from the game and makes want a refund.
This is about game devs with holding information impeding the player's ability to play the game and not about a bunch of gamers guessing and messing around and getting lucky.

Yeah... What?
As to your example about leveling... what? I get constant notifications of having leveled up and skill points to spend and details on exactly what each skill does...

Not 100% sure what you mean OP, but if you are complaining that it's actually unclear what mechanics do what and what buttons do what at the beginning, I agree. I was at work all day so my SO got about 5 hours into the game ahead of me. I basically called him in and asked him to explain where various abilities were and some other obnoxiously unclear things about the UI because the game provides nothing, and I darn sure didn't want to learn via trial and error when they are stingy with savepoints. (I'm on PS4).

I don't care what notifications anyone gets and I sure as hell do not care about links to 3rd party external sites.
I want to see where in the game this information is If you cannot pull up that information from inside the game itself or do not want to then don't bother arguing and or trying to debate or post idiotic replies about here are some guides.
Notifications, guides and all that crap mean absolutely nothing when the base line of what the issue is, has never actually been explained in the game itself.
Show me anywhere the game fully explains the leveling system and how to spend points and crap like that. I also want to have someone explain to me how they magically found information that doesn't exist in the game in order to do it in the first place.
I want in game information not player opinions and what a player took it upon themselves to do.

Nope, just disappointed that BIOWARE released an unfinished game even though I paid for a finished game A game is not finished When a game has mechanics in it, and a player is either: 1. Not made aware those mechanics are even in the game. AND OR 2. The player is made aware of the mechanic but the mechanic is not explained AND OR 3. A player has to do schoolwork which means they have leave the game to look up how to do something something that should have been explained with an in game onscreen message

I can't recall a game where you get everything you demand. Can you enlighten us perhaps? As for the the magic about how to find information, we used our brains I believe... or in other words, we used deduction.

Don't really care for the video. I have heard and seen enough whining about the game that I have become indifferent to their plight/opinions.

I do think this is the sort of game a manual would have come in handy for. A classic case is when you first get the Nomad to a hill which you can't drive up normally. The narrator tells you to switch to 6 wheel drive but the on screen hint that pops up at the same time tells you to press shift for boost. You want to right click at that time and I had to consult the keybindings to learn that. The game is definitely confusing and presented badly. Overall it's fun, but I do wonder how much they got fresh people to playtest their game and how much they listened to those people. The games interface is going to turn a lot of people off before they get into it.

Back in the dark ages, games came with printed booklets that were very descriptive in explaining all of the UI functions, mechanics, etc. Now they come with pdf manuals, which SofaJockey kindly linked. This particular game also has in-game tutorials, which can be accessed anytime from the main menu under Game.

Did your hints pop up at the same time? Because I think my hints came up separately.

I don't mind developers assuming their customers have even a slight level of intelligence.
Given what many people seem to complain about... it is a wonder they know how to even turn their own computers on.

Did your hints pop up at the same time? Because I think my hints came up separately. I've gone through it twice, paying particular attention the second time, same thing both times. The voice said to switch modes (correct) but not how to do it, the only on screen tip said press Shift to boost. Shift does boost but it is misleading as that isn't what you want to be doing to get up the hill (even though it sounds like it might).

I wanna see this guy assemble Ikea furniture. "Get fucking lost! It does not say how to screw a nut!" That's not a valid statement and cannot be applied to a game dev not explaining how to use a mechanic they put into the game. Not even close to the same thing. What goes through you gamers heads where you post completely inane replies that have no relevance to them or intelligence attached.

There is a manual. I think one of the mods posted it somewhere. Fair enough, I have now had a read. It's pretty bare boned, and in some cases suboptimal (like pressing esc to get to the map???), but does have a few useful tips for people starting. I've pretty much gone past the point it would have been useful.

It's amazing how all people have done is make false claims.
Saying something exists doesn't mean it exists. I asked for actual proof of where in the game it explains anything people are saying. So far all anyone did was say it exists and never provides where that information is. And continues posting links to manuals and pointing to a manual
As usual just a Bunch of trolls replying who cannot read.
