There is more to a game then graphics and cc. Don't get me wrong, it's not the best, but the combat and atmosphere more then make up for it.

I think Liam is good looking and Jaal certainly looks interesting. Everyone is ugly as sin. Female characters are downright repulsive. Male characters are all "mystery meat" and "multicultural". Give me back my Normandy and my old crew *cry* |

I can agree if you are talking about no single good looking characters. That's when we are talking about the main chars.. have you seen the non-interactable NPCs? I got a weird feeling just by looking at them, especially the awkward Nexus guards.
While the character design are mostly not good enough according to my opinion, ME:A is a great game as a whole. It's a shame that you had to refund it before you give it a chance. The start is a bit rough and slow, but after passing ten hours, the game gets better.

I just knew i would never get that bond feeling with my crew, like i did in ME1-ME3. I wouldn't have cared about any of them. I'm pretty sure i'd have to force myself to play through. Maybe i'll try in a year or some when they fix all the bugs, messed up faces and add a few DLCs. Right now it looks repulsive to me.  |

I think that there are actually some good(ish) looking human characters, but the problem is that their facial features are stylized in a way that makes them very cartoony. Their eyes pop out a little too much, their mouths show too many teeth due to how wide they are, their foreheads and eye sockets tend to be recessed compared to the noses and mouths... Plus their eyes dart all over the place. Everything is just a little bit off. It makes it hard for me to enjoy huge parts of the game like cutscenes and dialogue because I don't want to actually look at the characters! Even fairly well-done characters like Cora or the East Asian CC female Ryders stop looking good when you get too close because of the odd animations and exaggerated features that become more noticeable once the faces are in motion.
I'm waiting to buy the full game until after they (hopefully) patch the animations and textures a bit. I don't think they'll redesign the characters, but hopefully small changes can be made to make them look less like caricatures.

Actually, different tastes for different folks. ME3 MP was the only reason I stuck around on that game. I played through the story about 2 times, so 40-50 hours total for that. For the MP however, I put a good few hundred hours in it, so telling people MP isn't the reason to play MEA isn't the best call. |

Well fucking duh. The single player experience is great as well. I was making a statement that the multiplayer coop mode is better IMO than other games primarily focused on MP. It's sure as heck beats For Honor and I like it better than the PVP experience in Overwatch. It makes me wish they would even make a separate game with open areas to explore in coop and have a few raids like in Destiny |

Because that's what's found in real life: mostly average looking people. For me, I like the look of default Sara Ryder. I like that she's not a stereotypical pretty person. And I also like the looks of Cora. Can't really comment on any other characters as I've got technical issues that have kept me in the early part of the game. |

It's like offering a steak, to a vegan who didn't like his vegan food. Did you ASSUME that ALL people play games like Overwach and Destiny? Let e tell you about the games I play: Dragon Age: Origins Mass Effect 1/2 The Elder Scrolls Fallout Dragon's Dogma Assassin's Creed The Witcher Bound By Flame Kingdoms of Amalur Remember Me Life is Strange Tomb Raider Saints Row Jedi Knight Series KOTOR Sacred Venetica Metro ... There is not a single competitive/multiplayer game on my games list. And there are many other people like (especially the Lady side, which is probably the biggest in size of any other game/franchise) prefer these types of games, and felt like they(we) had something special with Bioware's games in the past. It was like a special home for people like us. And we've lost it. You say that Andromeda is great. That's great. But probably a game like Gears of War is great as well, for what it is. That game however is not a game someone like me will ever play. (and that's what Andromeda basically turned into)As for the MP, I will tell you that my time is too precious for me to be wasting it on empty experiences like multyplayers and other casual games. What I look for, is for games that make me experience something, teach me something, make me part of something, or simply take me away someplace else. So, you might have gotten what you want/like with Andromeda. But for the rest of us, we lost what we wanted/liked. And there is no other studio that could possibly give us the the specific games/experiences that Bioware gave us in the past. |
