During the early access trial, probably about half my games had major, unplayable lag/rubber banding problems. Since the game was released I have only seen a couple minor lag issues. I'm not sure if I've been getting lucky recently (or perhaps had poor luck before), or if the stability of the game has been getting better. Anybody else notice any lag-related changes since the game has been released? If so, have things gotten better or worse for you?

Nothing has changed for me. Unplayable lag in some games, bad but playable lag in most, fair connection in a minority (although lag is present even on host). I live in NZ though.
It is likely you're observing the effect of more hosts entering the pool globally, which would have the anticipated effect of decreasing expected latency as the matchmaking attempts to place you with the "best" (usually closest) possible host for your connection. Especially if you live in NA or Europe, which are very player-rich locations relative to geographical distance.
