Which alternative publisher did you have in mind?

That's ridiculous. I'd have to trade my wallet for a bandoleer. But then if bullets were currency, the gun trade would suffer because people turned to stabbing so they don't literally throw their money away at people.

Excuse me french, but how the frack is it very obvious that Bioware was rushed? 

Where's your proof? Or the reasons why it's so obvious? (Not being difficult, I'm being genuinely serious here - I'd love a reply). 

Surely the simpler explanation is that Bioware knew the release window, years before the game came out, and simply shat the bed? 

The way some of you guys act, is as if EA shows up at Bioware one day with 3 weeks notice that they need the game done. 

SPOILER ALERT - Game Development doesn't work like that. 
 

Even if you did change publishers you'd still have a noob, B-team studio full of z-list hacks, interns and general nobodies making the actual game. 5 years under a different publisher probably wouldnt of made much difference when that is the base your working from, a z-list hack is a z-list hack regardless of the publisher. But generally i agree with you OP. I mean the overriding corporate culture and ethos at EA cant be a good thing on game development. Its bound to effect things in a negative sense one way or another. Likewise being under a big publisher that doesnt really let devs do what they do best wont help matters.

But I always felt like Bioware never needed EA in the first place. They couldve easily of stayed indepedent and published their own games(like Rockstar & Bethesda do), be their own bosses not beholden to a mega-corp etc. They had the talent and the IP to make it viable, but alas $$$$ is hard to turn down, and they got in bed with the proverbial devil, and now its too late. And Mass Effect: Andromeda is ultimately the logical conclusion of all that.

To my knowledge, Bioware and Pandemic Studios belonged to Elevation Partners which itself was bought by Electronic Art and was how Bioware came to be the property of EA so no, Bioware could not have stayed independent.

EA is part of the problem, the bigger part is the open world thing and unnecesarily gigantic maps, and boring repetitive fetch quests

if this game would be like the previous games, it would be a lot better,
just imagine more qulity in side quests and less walking or driving,

They had more than enough time. EA isn't the bad guy here.

How can you blame EA for a rushed release when Bioware had five years to make it?

imagine how great it would be if bioware fans actually liked bioware games.

the game has problems literally no one has said otherwise, but the non subjective ones are not things bioware was ever a gold standard for.

and really the EA is the devil therefor everything bad is their fault has gotten old.

Why infinite? 40m for a AAA game with the fanbase of ME is nothing really. They could have easily doubled that if they wanted.
