Now wait just a minute there, I'm totally serious!Look, I couldn't resist the groan-worthy absolutely horrible punnerific thread title, but I am have this goofy crush on Khalisah in ME3, despite her very limited screen time and despite the fact that you can Tiger Uppercut her once again (or get put on the deck by her). Allow me to explain: -She can be convinced of the error of her ways by Shepard and eventually puts herself at considerable risk to give away Cerberus movements during the failed coup. -I think she is hot. In a rude hack reporter kind of way. -I am convinced the game would be more interesting if Diana Allosaurus was deleted from the game (along with her gross pandering to IGN) and replaced with the much less cooperative Khalisah aboard the Normandy. Trying to actually convince her of the necessity of and risks associated with your mission would be far more interesting and engrossing than Allers's bored monotone and limited dialogue, and it would be fun seeing her interacting with the crew of the Normandy - such as rolling her eyes at or realizing the implications of Garrus and James's war stories. -Just give the Allers romance over to Khalisah. And if you cheat on her she can sucker punch you instead of huffy Liaraesque remarks. -And by the end of the game you get to see totally supportive emotional broadcasts on Westerlund News on the importance of standing together against the Rippahz. I assume I am the only frickin' person on this forum to be a Khalisah fan, but if there is another I would love to hear from you!! IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY

Well she's definitely the best reporter in the trilogy . Wong was just a lazy reporter and wanted Shepard to more or less to do her job for her. Allers was just horrible. I think they should've replaced Khalisah with Allers on the Normandy.
The punch has been a running gag throughout but I prefer using the dialogue persuasion checks to outfox her biasness. Recruiting her for the war effort in ME3 also shows she cares underneath all her posturing. She is also braver than the other reporters when she's reporting in the middle of the Cerberus coup. Her actions in ME3 made me like Khalisah a lot more than I did previously. She's my favourite reporter but I wouldn't go so far as classing myself as a fan .
The thread title is great btw

I don't dislike her. And if you listen to what she's saying in ME3, she's clearly distraught over the deaths on Earth. Allers didn't seem that upset, at least not until her homeworld was destroyed. Honestly, I don't get why Allers existed given that we had not one, but TWO female reporters sitting around from prior games who could have been used.

I have punched her once or twice, but in general find abuse/suppression of the media for lulz rather disturbing, especially in the current political climate in the US. I hope it doesn't become a tradition in Andromeda as well.
I also would have preferred Kalisah or Emily as the embedded reporter. I found Allers really underwhelming. Stunt casting of non-voice actors is a pet peeve of mine because they are usually terrible, and what's her face was no exception.

Never. NEVER felt good about her getting punched. Shutting her down verbally was preferable. I really wished there were consequences for hitting an unarmed civilian. Hackett might have given a stern talking to, but I kept wondering why everyone did not lose respect for someone that easily riled.

Altough I punched her time to time with my renegade Shepards, you are absolutelly right. Consequences were a must, I mean... YOU CANNOT SIMPLY PUNCH EVERY PROBLEM IN THE FACE, SHEPARD! And you especially can't punch civillians just because you don't like what they are saying... If you think about it, Khalisah is pretty brave. She does not hesitate to confront Shepard not one, nor two, THREE TIMES and even learning to punch back in ME3.

By the third game, it's satisfying to see that my crazy Shep got what was coming when Kalisah punched her right back. And you're right; Kalisah is pretty tough to keep facing a job that brutal. Small wonder we see her name in the Armax Armali scoreboard!

Taking a swing at Khalisah is par for the course for a fully Renegade Shepard, although I agree it's ludicrous for Paragon Shepard to do so.
BTW - more evidence she is one tough waifu - she gets totally decked by a Krogan in ME2 (see the Shadow Broker vids) and still comes back for more

As I recall, that krogan just shoved her. I laughed a little when a volus kicked her shin though. You cannot walk away dignified when an alien treats you like an adult who got too mouthy around kids.

That Krogan launched her like an aircraft carrier's steam catapult launches F-18s. I think she briefly appeared on Citadel radar.

Someone did a montage of her being punched once. Included the shadow broker stuff, I cant be stuffed looking for it but it was one of the better videos about punching a news reporter in the face.
I love how much I hate her and yes she peaked at the right moment in ME3.

I only hit her in ME1. When I first played ME3, and went Paragon finally, her lines were great. Because she still remembered how I used to be. It was one of those very reactive, but small quests.... like Conrad's stuff.
Now I just play that way ever since.

I only punch her if I'm doing a fresh character in the first game and I'm racking up renegade points. I find it much more satisfying to shut her down with words. Bullrushed on her own show, indeed.
Show of hands, who thought the first time they saw the video with the asari that Khalisah was going to biotically fly across the room?
