If you're just starting out, then Gold is where you should be, you will get more credits to unlock stuff faster, making you far more viable a teammate for those tough Bronze matches.
Remember, you can be the team medic, just stay hidden and revive your teammates whenever they require it. In turn, they can kill everything and do all the objectives.
Win / Win!

No no no no no.
You need to buy at least $1,000 worth of packs before you will have the characters and weapons to be allowed into the game at all. If you are not willing to spend your hard-earned cash on the game then clearly you are not a serious player and you should GFTO.

but I'm still a scrub who needs to be carried on Bronze because I get sync killed on wave 1.

I made sure to get decent gear before going to the MP tutorial. I still sucked. Is there an easier level than that? Tutorial is way too hard. Is it bad that I got sync-killed on the tutorial? I still can't figure that one out. Bugger just reached up right behind me. BAM! Like a wet willy in a thunderstorm. The tutorial? Hell, I can't even get past the character selection screen without a Fiend bashing me into the ground. |
