It was fun doing one of these for Mass Effect, so I thought I'd assemble one for Dragon Age as well

There have been many trailers for the Dragon Age games over the years
Which are your favorites and how long before we should expect the first tease for Dragon Age 4?

"All the trailers" is slight marketing-speak as there were some official tutorials and re-cut promos for platform launches, but to my knowledge, these 42 trailers are the 'proper' ones (including 'Crestwoodgate' for 'reasons').

The DAO "Wardens Vengeance" trailer. I had hoped it had been purged from existence, and still wonder who thought it was a good intro for a new ip. Marilyn Manson! Sexxx! Bloody blood! So edgy!

Sacred Ashes is probably my favourite from DAO. The DAI companion trailers, and the way they culminated in "The Breach" were excellent.

The Trespasser trailer apparently comes in two versions, something I didn't know until today. The PEGI 18 rated one above, and the ESRB M rated North American version. Spot the difference!

To be honest, I kinda wish the Dragon Age series had stayed a little closer to that. When it first came out it was completely marketed as the Dark Fantasy world you've missed since Neverwinter Nights. Sex, blood, gore were a huge push.. The Marilyn Manson was a bit over the top, but I really feel the series has lost touch with its roots. Which is why DAO will always be the best unless they can get back to that.

Ah, and I'm not a real fan of dark fantasy. Things like Game of Thrones give me hives, I'm afraid. At least we agree that Marilyn Manson was a dubious choice.

My main complaint with that trailer is with its use as a marketing tool. If my first exposure to DAO and Bioware (as a non-fan of dark fantasy) had been that trailer, it would have been a hard pass. As it was, I knew what it was about, and enjoyed many playthroughs (DA2 is still my favourite, mainly due to the companions). Others might have been attracted by the trailer, and quit before they got to Lothering, because it was more rpg than they realized. Personally, I'm relieved they never got quite that extreme (trailer-wise) again.

Nicely done! BioWare does great trailers for their games. I remember seeing the DAO:Sacred Ashes trailer, which is still my favorite, and just being blown away by it. Immediately bought the game afterwards.

I watched the Thedas' Feind trailer so many times (the German version). I always had the impression that the big bad one was from beyond the fade (like the void). The laugh at the end is the best bit. Strangely I find myself note njoying it as much as I used to.

German is a great language for big baddies as its a hard sounding language compared to french where you say everything from the back of the throat
