I feel like that with most video games, specially with the open world formula. The only game I've been playing for three to four hours straight, lately, is Stardew Valley's port on PS4. I can barely play more than 2 hours on Mass Effect Andromeda because some of the worlds are just too big and the Nomad segments just bore the hell out of me. It's going to be a long game for me to complete. I feel more amused or entertained by stuff I read online, to be honest... or watching streams. Gaming isn't what it used to be for me and many of my friends. Sometimes, going retro is all I need to go back into this hobby. I'd suggest trying replaying old games you used to play when you were younger. Maybe that will give you what you seek.

Also the open worlds always bore me, it was boring in Elder Scrolls Oblivion, in Skyrim, it was boring in Dragon Age Inquisition and now in Andromeda its boring too. I still remember when open worlds was the newest shit in gaming and I was totally blow away by the idea, a concept which is really cool on paper but in reality it has never been all that great really. In an open world game you've seen everything there is to see in 20 minutes, after that its an infinite loop of similar quests and encounters.

In an open world game you've seen everything there is to see in 20 minutes, after that its an infinite loop of similar quests and encounters. I believe the atmosphere helps out a bit. While open world games like Inquisition and Fallout 4 left me bored to tears with exploration, I found it relatively entertaining in games such as dying light or the witcher 3. The tension of running on a zombie hoarde and having to run through roofs to escape them, or exploring the forests in the witcher and running into a monster nest. It was a really immersive experience for me. But others usually left me bored. They think just having the player walking around and slaughtering a bunch of enemies will keep them entertained, but as it turns out, the standards are a little higher.

Take a few years off. The games will be waiting for you, only cheaper and with all the DLC. I was not playing for about 4 to 5 years, then got back in 2013 to catch up on Kotor2, SWTOR, MET and DA franchise. I might take a break after Andromeda if new IP is not immediately captivating.
Some of the games I've played since I came back I liked, and some I did not, independently of how much grind or OW was involved. I actually did not mind a completely repetitive Blade and Soul for a few weeks, but I barely managed Inquisition.... and I am loving Andromeda. I was in love with DA2, immediately started second PT, and then dropped it like a stone b/c bored to tears suddenly. Go figure. Overall, I think, I am in no mood to replay games any more. There is a lot of them now, and most are really good compared to the 90's.
I usually do not play for longer than 2-3 hours anyway, because really, that's already too long to be able to enjoy anything without a break.

I surprised myself today. I actually managed to play MEA the whole day today. Hell, I even got to an emotional moment for me where I feel bad about the decision I made. Going to reload and fix it tomorrow, but still I felt something. Maybe some love is left for video games.

That's good. Read a book, something meaningful. Expand your knowledge.

I dealt with it and I'm proceeding my mission to save the galaxy.

Maybe you just need a break from gaming? Between 2006 and 2009 I hardly did any serious gaming - it wasn't a function of age (obviously, since I got back into it) and it wasn't even about time (I actually had more free time since I'd moved to a new city and had fewer social obligations) - I just didn't feel like it. Eventually the mood came back.
I've had that happen with virtually every form of entertainment - I've had years where I read 15 novels and years where I read 150. Over the past couple of years I've virtually given up on TV series, but I figure I'll probably end up watching more later. I just don't worry about it - if it stops being entertaining, that just is what it is.
