Dhan. All day. I don't even know what class I am, I'm just all over the place. I just one shot all the things. But I will do Meele vanguard in my second playthrough. So what's the best Meele weapon? Depends. Personally though, Melee vanguard is… dull imo, when confronted with the glory that is biotic vanguard (adept profile, charge, throw, annihilation field). Never the less, if it really makes your boat float, I recommend Kett swords or Remnant gauntlet. The kett swords are Carfalon and Vakarsh: - The Carfalon increases damage resistance for every successful successive strike. - The Vakarsh has a fire DoE effect and primes the target for fire explosions (which is better, imo). The remant cryo gauntlet is a metal glove who freeze the target on successful hit: the chain of “charge, punch, throw” should shatter every common mob with ease.

Vintage Pioneer for me. I second missing the Harrier. I hope for some DLC to address that. Does the Halberd compare somehow with the Harrier?

And yeah, the sound department in ME:A is... meh, compared to ME:Trilogy, but the secondary combo explosions from the adept profile are simply too good to pass up for a biotic vanguard, imo. I've even my personal OST when scouring the fields:

Think so, problem with the Halberd is that it only exists as a lvl 1 weapon and there seems to be no blueprint for it, which is a shame and hopefully just an oversight that will get fixed.

See now this sucks. I didn't know this gun existed until RNGesus gave me one in MP. Honestly, the gun should have been automatic so we can have our unbranded Harrier back.

I'm very partial to the revenant with a whole bunch of accuracy boosts. Also, PAW with electricity augment and Isharay with vintage augment. Are you referring to Electrical Conduits augmentation? Does it actually change anything performance-wise or is it just for visuals?

Any good pistols around? Oh how I want my good old M-77 Paladine back... I've been using Carniflex for 19 lvs now. Considering an upgrade for tier 4 soon, may be with some mods\augs. Hate all that 'Avengeresque' automatic stuff.

The Valkyrie is my go to. As a power based techie, it's a good all around gun with high accuracy that let's me pick enemies off at range between power usage.

The Piranha I suppose, since the Andromeda Krogan left the Claymore and the Graal Spike Thrower in the Milky Way for some reason. They can't have every gun from ME3, but they cut a lot of the fun assault rifles and shotguns. None of the assault rifles I've tried have felt very effective anyway, and the research point system isn't conducive to accurately testing weapons.
Been having fun with the Black Widow on Insanity too, though I'm planning on trying out the Isharay for the extra punch.

I tore through most of the game with the P.A.W. with the double mod augmentation. Added the AR Barrel, AR Heavy Magazine, AR Heavy Stock, and AR Receiver. Only gun I absolutely needed, occasionally equipped others for fun, but the P.A.W. is my favorite.

Hopefully the patch mixes things up a bit. Its a bit annoying to be stuck with either Snipers and Piranha for Insanity endgame weapons.

A VHS Black Widow 10 with all the +clip size passives has weight 22, hits for 1200, penetrates up to 1.75m cover for 70%, and shoots 3 times before overheating. Playing on Normal turns into a no challenge shooting gallery, definitely feels like Insanity walkthrough gun. Although not sure how harder it would actually be on Insanity, Ryder can always cloak and reposition with impunity, will try that later.
Double mod augment is wasted on this btw, ultralight materials 10 changes weight from 22 to 20 and even without infiltrator profile and any scope it has 119 accuracy, beyond pinpoint accuracy. Only barrel 10 and receiver 10 are must-haves for obvious reasons.

Playing on insanity as an Adept I'm honestly finding most guns to not be all that good, mostly because the game's SP seems to be balanced around everything being weak and then your passives and profile boosting it up into being good and I'm not boosting weapon damage at all. ... Exactly how I feel after starting NG+ on insanity. And that is with all the skill points already put into place.

Crafted black window sniper rifle with plasma charge and heat-sink, it destroys anything on insanity, its one of the best weapons in the game as longest you don't use it as a regular sniper weapon. You have to shoot the ground, not the enemies, otherwise it will do far less damage, if it hits the ground it will cause three explosions that do massive damage due to the plasma charge augementation. I use it as a close to medium ranged weapon for my vanguard build. My other two favorite weapons are the dhan and equalizer. The equalizer is quite great if you combine it with the electric stream augmentation and the dhan is quite great for its damage output and projectiles.

Currently, I'm using 3 weapons on my first character, a tech-heavy (mostly engineer) specialist with some points in combat fitness and pistols and shotguns. I'm using an archetypal engineer because I didn't do much with tech in the original trilogy's classes, outside of Infiltrator. So, my current loadout: Primarily, I use the Pathfinder Ranger SMG (yeah, it's a preorder weapon) with a long barrel, sights/scope, and either a larger clip or the penetration mod. I need to make a new one soon, maybe with some new augmentations, but it's worked pretty well so far. I might run with another SMG, but I'm not sure which. I use it as my go-to rapid-fire weapon, for running and gunning and for shooting from behind cover, and the scope helps if I want to get a little more accurate. Of course, the damage is pretty low, but the rate of fire is 700, which is one of the fastest firing SMGs I've seen.
Next, I added a Dhan shotgun, since I'd heard so much about it. I added the plasma seeking mod, because I figured what the hell. I didn't realize the projectile was so slow, though. I tested an unmodded Dhan in the field and saw that its projectile was either the same speed as my modded Dhan, or not much faster. Most enemies will evade it if I haven't stunned them first or have them occupied with my profile's assault turret. But it does do ridiculous amounts of damage, and it's only a level III Dhan. I can use it at nearly any range, too, but the longer the projectile travels, the more likely an enemy will evade it. And when it hits a wall, it looks like a modest explosion, but there doesn't appear to be any splash damage, so I'm thinking maybe I should make another Dhan and augment it with grenade rounds, so if I do miss, at least there's a chance for splash damage.
Finally, I use a Carnifex for solid stopping power. Can't go wrong with the Carni. Although, I do find myself wanting a little higher rate of fire, but that would make it completely overpowered, I'm sure. I'm trying to get a Sidewinder so I can get that slightly higher RoF. I would kind of like to use the Phalanx, as I used it almost exclusively in ME2 and ME3, and I've heard good things about the N7 Eagle.
I'm also thinking about swapping out something for the Mattock assault rifle, since I used that a lot in ME2 and 3, as well. And I'm considering the Falcon grenade launcher/assault rifle, because it's a friggin' grenade launcher and I miss having grenades (I don't have any grenade skills from combat at the moment because I'm so tech-happy).
I also miss the other big Krogan shotguns, and the Claymore, and missing assault rifles like the M-99 Saber. I know there are similar, newer weapons, but I miss those.
