Nathan's great but not for this. I really like the Voice Actor they chose. He sounds sort of every guy. If we get a sequel, I hope he goes a little bit more intense. Right now, he's sort of right where he should be for being a new pathfinder and not a lot of experience under his belt. Kind of reminds me how femshep started. She had a more inquisitive nature to her voice. But as the series progressed, she seemed to get more intense and certain.

Scott Ryder's voice actor is easily one of my favourite parts of the game.
No need for change. He's great.

From what I hear, Longmire is a less sophisticated Justified. (As a huge fan of Justified, this actually made me more interested in watching it because I've been missing that store for two years now, haha.) I'd rather have Timothy Olyphant than either of them. It's really nothing like Justified. Not the least being because Justified is set in Appallachia and full of methheads, Neo-Nazis, rednecks, and the idea that the protagonist is an anarchonism. While Longmire is set in the Northwest where almost no people exist and it's about isolation and change with the protagonist as a embodiment of local values. I love Justified but it's like comparing Castle with Law and Order for dramatically different tones and settings. That's not my opinion of it, to be clear. I just remember a headline to a (positive) review of it, which said something like "For people who thought Justified was too dense" Your description is what I was hoping for from the series. The whole thing about Raylan being a western archetype is Appalachia is supposed to stand out, because it doesn't take place out West (despite being filmed in California), whereas a character up in the Northwestern states is Western.

Nathan would have been a great fit to be honest, but Tom Taylorson nailed the role. (Default, I don't like creating my own) Scott Ryder is one of my favorite protagonists. I really hope he comes back for a second game

I thought Firefly fanboys were finished trying shoehorn Fillion into every role... I guess next we'll get a post about Joss Whedon should have been the lead story writer... Well Bioware did admit to Firefly being one of their big inspirations for ME:A along with Babylon 5.

The series of Longmire books are fantastic (if you're into western themes) and the writer of them is a producer on the show. I highly recommend giving the show an episode or two to see if you're into it... it also adds in a fair bit of Native American culture which is really well done.

I like Firefly and Nathan Fillion, but his voice is too distinctive and immersion breaking. No thanks. I don't even want him for NPC work.
Tom and Fryda did great and I'd love them back for the sequel.

Before he got to old for the part I think Fillion would have made a perfect Nathan Drake for an Uncharted movie, he has the looks and mannerism down perfect for that character.

No, Nathan is too old for this part, sorry. Love him but he's not right for Ryder, Jen Hale who I think utterly made and nailed Shepard wouldnt fit either for Sara.

After watching some Firefly and hearing Malcolm Reynolds' humor again, i realize that Scott's humor is very similar and that Nathan's voice would have fit perfectly for the role. Anybody else get that? What humor? Im playing exclusively Profesional and logical he sounds like a military leader most of the time. It is absurd that there is a group of people complaining about how goofy and childish the dialog is but its because THEY ARE CHOOSING THE DIALOG.

I think Taylorson does a good job voicing Scott Ryder with the material he's given to work with. His line delivery has been good so far.

Anybody else get that? I love Nathan to bits, but he is a voice of a ruggedly handsome ageless over 30 in his prime self-confident man. Dad-Ryder, not Ryder. I like the current male voice. I would not have minded playing a character like Reynolds in the future Andromeda 2, as in one of the Exiles, voiced by Fillion... and the Female Smuggler's Voice for a girl, yeah, that would have been a gamegasm.

It is absurd that there is a group of people complaining about how goofy and childish the dialog is but its because THEY ARE CHOOSING THE DIALOG. For me it's more of a combo of two things. A. Not having more than two responses in many of the conversations B. Scott Ryder rarely ever emotes when he speaks. The few times he managed a smile or some sort of facial quirk I always got a kick out of that... frankly there wasn't enough of it.

Well Bioware did admit to Firefly being one of their big inspirations for ME:A along with Babylon 5.Oh? Where did you see this? Given the ME trilogy already ripped off was inspired by almost the entirety of B5 (pity they didn't finish the job and opted for "art" instead) I'd be shocked if they had more to take. If anything, Crusade would be more fitting for Andromeda. Though Excalibur > Tempest. Always. Well I'm a huge B5 fanboy (I don't show it much), I honestly didn't see a whole lot of B5 influence on the story. The single best moment in B5...(aspect ratio is off in this video) I don't know if I'd call it the best moment, but I still get chills watching it. Damn you! Nathan Fillion is fantastic. He's also far too old to play a 20 something blank slate character. He's a major character in two other science fiction shooters that I enjoy, I think that's enough for now.

The CGI is the first time CGI was used to that scale on TV...and was still a pretty new thing. And most important of all...and I'm not even kidding...there is a reason for Londo's hair. The higher your rank in Centauri society, the longer the hair fan... Londo: Londo is an Ambassador. And lastly...you will never find two better character arcs intertwined than Londo Mollari and G'Kar.
