Glad I'm not the only one staying off the "I hate Mass Effect/Bioware" bandwagon. Sure it has its flaws, but it's an awesome game imo.
Hopefully future patches will fix the current bugs.

Hell yeah its good to hear it. I love it and believe the devs will fix the bugs. Not too many games come out with free mp characters the first two weeks the game is out. I've just never not bought a mass effect game and everytime it has it flaws sure but its still amazing and a world I can truly get lost in and enjoy everything the game has to over on my terms like every mass effect game has allowed us to do. I had garus with me for all 3 games, he told me we would meet at the bar if we died and we both died to save the universe. That was my ending for a trilogy of the best single player games I've ever played. This is the start of something new and I love it.

Except sometimes it doesn't. If you liked it fine, but now that you have the topic going, I wanna pitch in too Don't reward devs for doing only half a good job or going in the wrong direction. That said, Andromeda isn't all bad, but it's not everything a fourth Mass Effect could've been. Far from it.

I'm loving it. Sure it's not perfect, but it's very ME:1ISH and I like that. Up to 60hrs so far and still have to put up and outpost on Elaadan before I finish the game.

I agree with you to an extent, but also think about this: There is no product that the devs could possibly have delivered that would not have led to a significant number of people feeling the way you feel about the game. They may have delivered a game you thought was perfect, but there would be a significant number of people posting to the contrary.

This game is not selling well - it's being trashed critically, and ridiculed publicly. It's gotten so bad the devs needed to make a statement about it in an attempt to appease the haters. It's a bad game - but it's okay if you like it. I'm actually jealous of those of you that do like it. I wish I could play a Mass Effect game I enjoy too.

Yes, no matter what something was bound to give leaving the trilogy and Shepard. I'm not that crowd. I'm only underwhelmed becuase it turned out it was just Mass Effect Inquisition or rather "DA:I2 - Mass Effect Andromeda". People are comparing unfavorably to the trilogy but not because they can't let go of it but because it shows how much Andromeda cannot even repeat what Mass Effect 1 did really well in that it's not a very good plot. It's a good game in the sense that as a standalone and a new game that released this month I'm enjoying myself with it, but this is Mass Effect. It's supposed to be so much more than just an average or decent game like this is. When ME1 came out the press and players already knew it was going to be something special. When 2 came out some were up in arms about how exciting it was and the series became super popular in the mainstream, even influenced movies like Guardians of the Galaxy and 3 despite of the bad ending and my personal distaste for its direction was still more of what made 2 good and a wrapup to the series people had gotten so invested in. This however feels like a direct-to-video sequel. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy Aladdin and the King of Thieves but you can't pretend it was a sequel of the same calibre as the original or even a big mainstream hit like the one that arrived in theater with higher production and talent put into it. I'm thankful that Mass Effect isn't dead but that's about it. Andromeda has snippets of things I really enjoy and it's filled out my PS4 library with another game I'll probably replay someday, but it's just not a game that lives up to its brand at all IMO.

@link"Guess"ski I've played the game for 66 hours now and I'm still not sure what I think of it. Some parts I love, and other parts I don't love, and even dislike. I suppose overall I prefered ME3, because there was very little I disliked about that game.
I can certainly see the similarity to DAI, which I couldn't finish (was too bored with the story). As I've said before on these boards, what saves MEA for me is the combat gameplay. I'm sure I'll get tired of it eventually, but for now it's interesting me.

All i can find says #1 in the UK, though behind ME3. However as a disclaimer this only includes physical copies, digital is huge right now and wasn't during the ME3 DAYS. Also metacritic doesn't mean shit. It's also worth noting one edition of ME:A was digital only, something I'm sure affected the physical sales.

There's a reason why companies give out bonuses to devs based on games' metacritic scores.

Or the fact that digital is taking over and the Deluxe was digital only, and so far all sales are in physical copies only. So a 76 on Metacritic means it's a steaming pile of shit....Did you know the movie Logan is only a 77....Guess it's a steaming pile of shit to. Seriously why are you here? Did you joint this website to troll this game? Because that's all you do.

Did you joint this website to troll this game? Because that's all you do. It would be #1 in the UK regardless purely based on its name. I'd guarantee it's not #1 in week 2 when those numbers come out. Also, in 2012 ~ 40% of game sales were digital, while in 2016 it's around 60%. And while we won't know dill numbers are released, I'd bet Andromeda doesn't skew towards digital sales as those are mostly PC numbers, and only 4% of Andromeda's sales are on PC. www.statista.com/statistics/190225/digital-and-physical-game-sales-in-the-us-since-2009/
Game's gonna be a commercial flop, bro - but that's ok! You can still like it. Better yet, buy the collector's edition (that doesn't come with the game) and multiple copies of the deluxe version to help make up the difference!
And yes, 73% for a AAA videogame is utter shit on metacritic (I like how you cherry pick the meta scores for the PC and Xbox version that have half the reviews that the PS4 version has). And nobody uses Metacritic for movie reviews, that's what rottentomatoes is for.

Only time will tell if it's a commercial flop, however if it does not I'm sure you will still be here to tell us how much of a steaming pile of shit the game is. Because you know, you do it in every single thread on this forum. Also choosing 2 out of 3 isn't cherry picking. I'm choosing the majority, cherry picking is when you pick the one out of many to make your point. In this case 1 out of 3 would be considered cherry picking.

Honestly with the law of averages and how poorly done the concept of metacritic is. If my game got above 75 I'd be doing hand stands.

Did you even read the article? Do you understand context at all? Sales being down from Black Ops 3 does not mean the game is a commercial failure. Not even close. It just means it did not do as well as something else, which, as they explain in the article, was expected. Also, here's the "Update" from the end of the article: 1. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was the #1 selling game in the UK last week (1st week of December, 2016), beating out newcomers The Last Guardian and Dead Rising 4, and also overtaking FIFA 17 2. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was #1 in digital sales in the UK for the month of November 3. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was the #1 selling PSN game in November So not a commercial failure. Just didn't do as well as BO3.

Again, uh, we have zero fucking evidence for your claims about sales, so maybe you should shut the fuck up until you can provide verifiable sources? Oh wait, if people actually shut the fuck up about things they knew nothing about, this forum might actually be a decent place, and we can't have THAT now can we.
