I don't really get why the weapons scale but the armor doesn't... that at least should have been done.

Not sure if this is common knowledge, but there is additional content being released in May for Deluxe Edition owners... www.masseffect.com/news/mass-effect-game-editions "players who own the Deluxe Edition or the Super Deluxe Edition will receive, in May 2017: 1 exclusive Multiplayer Pack – featuring your highest chance of getting an Ultra-Rare item 2 additional custom Nomad Skins – explore open worlds in style 1 additional Pathfinder Casual outfit – perfect for your romance ambitions"

Im of the opinion that buying a "collectors" edition (or other special editions) just for the items you get in a game (single player even) is stupid.
If i were to buy such an edition is to show my appreciation towards the developers and maybe in multiplayer for the items it gives, maybe.

I'm still loving the Pathfinder Pioneer myself. It's basically a starter Valkyrie but I can still build more since you get the mats as well, and for some reason I have yet to let go of the Deep Space Explorer armor (and probably never will), though I use the pathfinder helmet now. I enjoy the casual outfit as well. I can take or leave the pyjak, but at least Ryder's dialogue to it doesn't bug out like Shepard did with the Fenris mech. She'd say something like "Good dog" and "Stay" at the same time, most of the time. In any case, I did it primarily for the soundtrack, so no regrets I guess. I used the Deep Space Explorer armor, along with the Andromeda Elite Helmet, or whatever it was called (obtained by completing the 6 AI Training Vids) until Level 50. Between them, and the AVP XP Boost, I had something like a 25% increase to XP, for a good while. At Level 50, I finally crafted more suitable armor.

I don't really get why the weapons scale but the armor doesn't... that at least should have been done. Functionally, the armor does nothing but boost XP. We already have a more well rounded armor that does this. I guess if one loves its appearance, they might miss it; but it was functionally redundant. Weapons, on the other hand, always have certain unique qualities or properties, even when they're not the optimal choice. Edit: I mistakenly reference the Deep Space Explorer armor, which was the preorder bonus. The Scavenger Armor was not useful to my low-level scrub Biotic, so I'd forgotten it. I sell this stuff immediately, nabbing a few hundred early credits. (No deconstruct for the free stuff.)

Unless im being dumb, there was no digital CE version...at least on PC. The only CE version came with phyisical Nomad models?
If he is talking about the Digital Deluxe or Super versions then he does not have a case...those were clearly marked as to what they contained and the armor/weapons are equal to the quality of items in ME3

I bought the Super Deluxe because why not. I knew what I was getting, it's what I wanted. I voted OK because it was an okay deal for me. Pretty daft poll in the end, since you wouldn't buy a pack you thought was a bad deal. If you do... well, that's on you.

I actually really like the Deep Space armor, and the guns are ok, maybe even a bit too strong. Did we get that golden Nomad paintjob with deluxe too or was that preorder?
But you're right, it's not worth it, not by a long shot. I bought it for the super deluxe MP packs with 30% discount tough so I'm not complaining, otherwise I'd probably dish for standard.

I use the Deep Space Explorer armor till very, very deep into the game.
+25% eperience per encounter is a lot. Mix it with the cryo pod for an other 10% and it's a whopping +35% extra experience from encounters.
And there's a lot of encounters.

Nope, they are level based. I finished my first game at lvl 62 and had level VII schematics unlocked. You still have to "learn" each level though, you can't just jump to VII right away. That part kinda sucks. I think the ranks unlock every 5 levels. You get schematic unlocks every 10 levels. Level 10 weapons, armors and mods open at Ryder level 80. Because of that taking cryopod hidden cache upgrades is best at 80+. Remnant armor is bugged and can be researched to 10 without levels. There is a glitch for easy leveling, easily found on google if you want to abuse it, makes all the exp gear and cryopod exp upgrades obsolete. The chest farming thing from DAI also carries over, although now thankfully you don't need to farm schematic drops, you get them all immediately. There's also an infinite credits glitch. Boo hoy does it feel like playing alpha product. Err getting offtopic there, yes, deluxe is absolutely not worth it, you can read your emails right next to the piloting so you never have the need to visit the cabin with the pyjak.

I got a pyjak and a soundtrack I'd probably have bought anyway, so I'm happy enough. The in game items tho? I think I sold them.

I'd like to be able to upgrade the armors. The weapons were disappointing only because you don't get anything back when breaking them down and I didn't find another heat sink for a long time. Still good for early game, though outclassed eventually. I like the soundtrack. Don't care about the monkey. Free multiplayer packs are always nice. Shepard's hoodie was better.

I bought it for the armors and Nomad skins.
And because I know it wasn't going to be DLC for everyone else like most Special Edition/Preorder Content is.
As for the Pyjack, I didn'treally want it and I still never picked it up.
I would rather have had a Varren or, in this new galaxy, an Adhi.

I have Super Deluxe Edition. I preordered it the second it was available for preorder just because it was the most expensive edition I could buy. No RC Nomad for me, third world fucking Europe.
Those DE items were instant salvage as I already knew from trial that there's Valiant and Black Widow. Armor on the other hand lasted very long, 25% experience bonus is always appreciated. Value/price ratio really doesn't concern me, 90€ for a game is a good price if you ask me (considering that today I have 4x the salary I used to have and game prices are basically the same).

I usually buy deluxe (not CE) editions for the digital items, but when I did my research and saw the bonus items, I found them all pretty underwhelming and not worth the extra $.
I could choose a $47 buy from Green Man Gaming, or pay the Origin store 70 bucks for marginal bonuses. Obviously I chose to save myself $23.
The armor isn't even that unique. I like my Helius Defender armor better.

It seems like it might be kinda neat at first, but I imagine the novelty wears off pretty quickly for most.

OP, sorry but you're an idiot for buying Deluxe in the first place Look at the price and look at what that extra content amounts to and know your EA business practices to know this would not have been worth your money.
