there isn't a single planet to visit explore or anything that's not part of the main story or loyalty mission.
I scanned every single planet in the game hoping some kind of anomaly will trigger a short mission or even a text based mission.
Nothing at all not a side quest no nothing.
In previous mass effects you could find planets that have nothing to do with the story and maybe kill 5 enemies and be gone but it was nice to find those missions, yoi receive a signal and land and it turns out its some trap.
In a game about exploring the Heleus system and find new things there is literally no reason to travel to the systems where the story doesn't take you, all you get is +50 iron.
Anyone else hopeed to find something and got disappointed?

'in previous mass effects' you had tiny corridor levels\hubs for the story, so it made sense to put the 'exploration' part elsewhere. A single Voeld alone is like 5 Noverias, and it has plenty of bits that 'have nothing to do with the story' too, same true for the other planets.

I 100% agree with the original poster. There is no exploration in this game. It's all hand holding and leading us down the rabbit hole treadmill of quest boredom.
"Oh goody, wonder how far Ted has gotten in the game, because he's gonna see the same shit I'm seeing."
It all come down to sense of something, I think. To me, I wanna feel like I'm the first person to explore an uncharted planet. Not feel like I have to collect 10 bear asses for Mary Sue. It takes me somewhere I've never been before, and hey, that's "exploring". No, you went there because you had a job to do.
That's what the entire game feels like.

This^ Also, the amount of detail in each planet in ME:A is leaps and bounds more than ME1 planets. ME1 planets were a bunch of hills and mountains with maybe an outpost (which all basically looked identical inside) and a few mineral nodes. Now compare that to any explorable planet in ME:A...it's really apples and oranges. I love ME1, but I feel a lot of people are nostalgically remembering it through rose tinted glasses.

Anyone else hopeed to find something and got disappointed? Let's look at this objectively, 1st of all, while I agree it would be nice for us to go down on some planets for a side mission, but even if we get it, it won't end up being an explorable landscape. It will just end up to be another Habitat 7 where you're only open to areas involving the mission. It would just essentially be like ME2 again. 2nd, We're on a mission to explore & find habitable planets & we do have 7 target planets already decided before we even head to Andromeda. it would only makes sense that the explorable planets would be the target planets. 3rd, unlike the Normandy Mk.2. Our Tempest is small & don't actually have shuttles to drop us off, we also have less crew. Everytime we want to explore the Tempest will have to land, & it doesn't make any sense for the Tempest to land on every planet for small missions. Even on Peebee's loyalty mission, we had to be jettisoned on an escape pod in order to land & escaped with Kalinda's shuttle..
