Asari strippers are not politically correct enough for ME:A. Bioware..."If it doesn't show how 'progressive' we are, we don't want it in our game."

I missed them too. Not because I'm 13 years old, but because it's Mass Effect. Space pulp.
BioWare looked at CD Projekt Red, saw nudity presented in a mature way and decided love scenes should have it. But really, they should've taken inspiration from the bath houses in The Witcher III and have topless bars. From a story telling perspective, of course.

Forget the strippers, what happened to the slam poetry we were promised? -snip- "slam poetry and singing" @ 2m50s Nope. Never happened. Not sure if it's "slam" poetry, but I've seen a turian preform a poem on stage in the Vortex and an Angara said a riveting story with a cliffhanger about a box and an asari.

In this thread, self-proclaimed straight guys are so fixated on male dancers in Kadara club they don't even notice the female dancers!

Kadara slums bar in cage upstairs And the dancers are all fully clothed in flight suits. Makes no sense that dancers at a seedy bar aren't dressed in more revealing clothes. I mean outside of the sex scenes, the game had zero fan service in it for guys. Meanwhile Jaal and Liam has and entire scene where they are naked for no damn reason. That scene felt really out of place.

Why is the bar on the Nexus, Vortex, so tame? I guess you can say it's the equivalent to Flux (if Flux was a Starbucks with a bass drop and strobe lights), but god damn it...I want my Asari strippers back. Bring the sexy back, Bioware! This game is like a lobotomized version of ME1. Chill bro, the Asari dancers will return, they're just in cryo for now

Even more mature points if the couple is white. Ultimate mature points if you put one of your romanceable characters on the cover of Playboy. Every other scenario is tumblr cheesy fanfiction.

Because it's not actual a bar: it's a laboratory that ended up doubling as a bar. It dosen't make sense for there to be strippers at the Vortex or even on the Nexus. Why would strippers be a part of the first wave? It make sense on Kadara because the people there are no longer performing their intended role and have made new ones like being a raider, pirate and so on.

Why did Jaal have no pants on? ...because they were checking out each others' armor...but the scene didn't actually show any armor being tried on...just naked dudes? Do we get a Suvi and Cora trying on each others' armor later on scene, did I miss that one? (I'm betting not because, well, that whole toxic male gaze thing.) This scene left me just standing there staring at the screen dumbfounded at how nonsensical and weird was.

Yea, because everything else BW didn't directly copy from the OT did work out so well... change for the sake of change is as worthless as a seedy club without sexy dancers.

The Nexus is basically a private military base. That's going to inform the kind of 'entertainment' locations there are there.
