I want management individuals to be thrown under the bus tbh. You want someone's lively hood smashed because your free time entertainment wasn't perfect at release? Ok. If it was a 15 hour linear AAA game I guess I can see your point, but not a game with 5 open world maps, several well done linear levels, multiple detailed HUBs, 1200 speaking/animated characters, about 150 quests, detailed/complex RPG systems, with satisfying combat that outshines most linear 3rd person shooters. They released a faulty product. They deserve to be held accountable as much as they deserve their paychecks. We also learned of several mismanagement issues that directly lead to this - the No Man's Sky year-long experiment, the outsourcing of animations, and above all, the decision to release the game in such an unpolished state, with show stopping bugs, repeated crashes, save game corruptions, poor performance on consoles, to name a few of the issues.

I would prefer a 15 hour linear AAA game that is extremely polished, imaginative and with a great story and characters than what we've got. Then don't play Mass Effect games or Bioware games in general. They are large RPGs. Mass Effect 2 and 3 were abnormal more streamlined RPGs which is where I feel fans started to become polarized. The order 1886 is an extremely polished linear short game that's a third person shooter and it's the most boring video game experience I've ever encountered. Looks great as a movie though

Very truthfully, I can see where she's coming from. I want answers to who's responsible for this mess. More than that though, I want solutions to this giant fuck-up. If you consider the game a fuck up now. I doubt any patch or dlc will satisfy you so you're basically just a write off at this point. If you're at the spot where you enjoy the game but recognize its flaws, maybe a few fixes will make it a better experience. Wanting people responsible?? Hahahah that's a good one. Good luck with that. B

IF bad management is the reason (and it is), I would actually want management heads to roll as well (EA would want that as well, they have already realized that Bioware is a giant basket of trouble for them at this point). It fucks up the project, and more importantly throws the lower people under the bus, those that actually are doing the work. Not to mention the end result (product) that people spend their money on.

The order 1886 looks impressive but fails on every other front, it isn't a polished game. ME2 and ME3 are streamlined linear corridor shooters that are executed pretty well IMO, ME2 still remains my favorite single player game ever, the attention to details is there big time. Starcraft 2 trilogy and Overwatch are great examples of polished games, so many small details to dig, the art style is excellent, the gameplay is tight, everything is snappy and feels just right.

My main problem is that Bioware's PR messages keep guilt-tripping us with "we work so hard on this"
Even at E3 Aaron Flynn or whatever walked on stage and literally said "Making a game is very hard"
I'm like...Yes, I know and I appreciate that your lower-level employees and artists and programmers are working overtime.
They're not the ones I'm blaming. Stop guilting me.

I didn't like Mass Effect 3 and 2 was just ok. I've never really played a dragon age because I didn't like what I saw from previews. Tried Dragon Age 2 and hated it. I just beat the game and yeah, it has issues that can be fixed but it's not a bad game at all

but seriously, any concrete time on that? I must admit that while sceptical that it will be anything other than standard PR crap and dlc announcement, I am still interested and deep inside hoping to get surprised. Hope is the last thing to die, or so they say... At the time I quote this it's 7:44 am in Alberta, it's maybe two hours later in Montreal... Chill. They are probably getting their coffee.

And I know technically top management worked hard too but sorry, can they just own it? We all screw up. Just own it dude.
There are humans who can illustrate photographically immaculate images by hand, individuals like Feynites who write fan novels in their sleep that redeem Solavellan into Tolstoy-grade epics, fuckin photoshop art on DeviantArt that makes the Angarans look like 80's Mattel. Talent beyond my wildest imagination exists out there. I know I'm not talented, but other people are. And MASS EFFECT was a legend of legends. You don't understand just how rare and precious Mass Effect was.
And you hired TRANSFORMERS concept artists to design for it?

That's a fair arguement for sure. I would love for Mass Effect to have that same polish but considering the size of the game, I respect and enjoy it. Different opinions, I appreciate the larger games that give players more freedom and have great base mechanics. Mass Effect Andromeda' combat and traversal is the best it's ever been. I will say the main story is really rushed at the end so would like the scale to be dialed down some if it means more detailed main campaign. All the side quests, campanion missions, emails, journal entries, etc make help make this Indiana Jones in Andromeda with religious space nazis a really cool story IMO

They're not the ones I'm blaming. Stop guilting me. Heh, I always wonder if they (not just BW but these video game professionals in general) think video game developers are the only ones that work hard? Like do they think it is only developers that work hard? Do they not think application developers in the business world work hard too? What about accountants, especially during tax time? How about factory workers, farmers, car mechanics, teachers, small business owners? Do they not work hard in their eyes? Am I really supposed to feel sorry for them because "making a game is hard"? Well guess what, life is hard in general. Everyone works hard if they want to succeed. I have very little sympathy for anyone that lays the blame for mistakes on "gosh this is just really hard ya know?". Man up and take responsibility.

I'm sorry I'm so negative. I know Bioware devs come on these forums and go "look, it's that NEGATIVE poster again."
I can't drink a beer with these devs at any gastropub. I'm blacklisted from their gastropub circles.
I know. It hurts.

People keep talking about what new were going to get from Bioware today. Honestly, I don't care what they have to say because they should have gotten it right the first time. Otherwise we wouldn't have to be dealing with these problems. I told myself that back when the March release window was announced that the game wouldn't be ready by then and long behold, I was right. It was kind of hard to come to grips with it because I love the series, but they fucked up big time with Meda. I similarly don't give a crap about the announcement seeing as I've given up on bioware. Just wanted to say that your profile pic is amazing. Would've based by Ryder on Mika...if the game had allowed me to create a character that wasn't a total tool. Since you've given up you should move on from here and leave us in peace.

I don't care about the announcement.
I want the damn patch that will fix the bugged Asari Ark transponder I can't interact with in Voeld for Cora's mission so I can actually progress the fucking story because right now I'm prevented from finding the asari pathfinder and Cora's 6 tier row skills are all locked.
I want to finish the damn game.

i don't see the two sides being mutually exclusive. Finished up SP at 101hours, had a blast, felt i got my money's worth, it sure as hell has a lot of issues and, as another commenter put it, the buck has to stop somewhere, ultimately someone made the decisions that led to the game ending up in an unpolished state and, it's not unreasonable to suggest that within a business environment they be held accountable.

But we all just have to wait until BioWare releases the announcement to the public. Until then, why not join in on the whin- I mean conversation!
